Don't get me wrong, I like DC comics and stuff as much as the next person, but the writers are cowards.

There's so many relationships they've fucked up because they were too scared to write it properly.

For example, Jason and Damian should be co-dependent.

After being brought out of the pit, Jason was put in charge of teaching and caring for Damian while Damian was told to keep Jason calm.

They shouldn't be able to do shit without each other.

As much as I love Red Hood, he shouldn't exist without Damian being there to keep him from going insane.

Damian should be like an ESA for Jason.

And Damian doesn't know anything outside the compound, so he would've needed Jason to continue being his teacher and caretaker after leaving the compound.

Jason should have been like a trusted figure to Damian. (Which would have meant a lot because Damian definitely has serious trust issues)

Another example, Dick is canonically a system.

They could have explored that.

Dick Grayson and Red X fighting for front.

Dick waking up with blood on his hands and panicking.

They had Dick hallucinate Jaybin for years, but didn't explore Dick being a system?

What the fuck

There's so much they could have done and/or could do, but they're cowards.

Alfred: Doesn't (usually. Occasionally he'll drop lore about him, Martha, and Thomas and then go "I know what you are, 🚬." if the nearest batkid is LGBTQ+)

Bruce: "Queer" or "The LGBTQ+ community"

Dick: "Alphabet mafia" or "Family part 3" (he won't explain the second one and people get confused because they forget he's adopted)

Jason: "Gay(s)" (Bi? No, gay. Pan? Nope, gay. Aroace? Nah, diet gay.) Or "Alphabet mafia" (Baby gays are "henchmen" because he thinks leaning into 'alphabet mafia' is fun)

Tim: "My people" or just straight up a slur (if people get offended, he yells for Kon and then texts Steph. He will then proceed to kiss both of them, despite the fact he's no longer dating Steph.)

Steph: "Queen(s)" or "Gay(s)"

Damian: "The LGBTQ+ community" or "Drake's people" (he's still learning)

Cass: "Alphabet mafia" or (very ominously) "The family"

Hear me out: Bruce, Dick, Jason, and Tim all have their own hallucination!Jaybin.

Same kid but different purposes.

Bruce's Jaybin is there for comfort.

Dick's Jaybin is there to guilt him.

Jason's Jaybin is there to remind him of his roots.

Tim's Jaybin is there to help him.

But because they all hallucinate Jaybin, it creates hysteria between them and they all see the same Jaybin (who acts differently with each of them).

Damian thinks they're all going insane.

Only Dick actively acknowledges that Jaybin is a hallucination.
