Hear me out! Souther-Saudi Lily Evans!

Okay, now I know her name and features doesn’t suit this ethnicity, but her personality suits it soo much.

For context, southern Saudi women (each region has different cultures, and I’ll explore it more) are known to be fierce, and sharp mouthed, even their dialect is the sharpest compared to the rest of the country. They’re not known to be rich, but also known for strength and unity. If one is harmed, then everyone would stand up for that person.

The gold is used to resemble that they’re engaged/married. When someone sees a woman wearing gold, it’s a sign to not try and offer an arranged marriage. Women usually judge men based on how much gold they get for their wives

Daisy Meadowes used to be one of the famous ballet dancers of all times. But her career was cut short after her pregnancy and some minor injuries. So she pressures her daughter to be as good as her, even better so she can live the life Daisy wanted. Dorcas loves ballet but sometimes she truly hates it.

Dorcas keeps perfect grades, never breaks the rules and keeps her record clean. She has a very tight schedule between classes, training sessions and her social commitments. She is part of one of the most popular groups in school. Not because of her. Her mother married Zion Mulciber, a very important lawyer in the UK, and her new step brother Nicolas Mulciber is a popular bloke in Slytherin.

Dorcas knows she is pretty and that had made her reject many boys in her life, one of them being Nick's best friend, Samuel Avery. But it isn't because she's pretentious like everyone thinks. She just doesn't like them. She doesn't like boys.

People had been telling Dorcas lately that she has been changing. That she doesn't keep the perfect life she once kept. Dorcas prefers to spend most of her time with the reason she's been feeling different.

Marlene McKinnon is not only a Gryffindor, which is the rival house for her peers. According to her friends, according to Nick and even according to her mother, Marlene is the devil encarnated who has corrupted Dorcas. The reason she is not "herself".

Truth is, Dorcas hadn't felt more herself in her entire life. Marlene makes her feel... Alive.

Marlene is truly amazing. The girl goes around school doing what she pleases. She breaks stereotypes. "Girls aren't supposed to play sport", well, Marlene does. "Girls aren't supposed to play such a rough sport as rugby" well, Marlene is very good at it. "Girls are supposed to be more feminine and wear feminine clothes", even with her jerseys, hoodies and tennis, even without makeup, Marlene is beautiful. She is so hot with piercings and that single dragon tattoo on her arm that she did because of a bet between her and her brothers. Marlene is brave. Marlene is full of life. Marlene makes Dorcas laugh and enjoy life.

When Dorcas is with Marlene, she doesn't worry about being perfect, about her ballet routines and getting into Julliard in New York, or her grades, or giving a good image to keep the Mulcibers' name intact. She doesn't care about popularity, parties and who is dating who. She doesn't care about fitting in and being well liked around Slytherin.

Dorcas knows about the eyes on her. People judging her for not being the perfect girl everyone used to admire. Or about people judging her for being gay and rejecting the most wanted boys in school. Or about people judging her for betraying her house by dating a Gryffindor.

Hogwarts history had shown romance between rival houses. But this was the first time a girl was dating another girl.

Dorcas knows teachers are commenting behind their backs. Slughorn for example, her head of house is pretty homophobic and even if he doesn't say anything openly, his attitude towards Dorcas has changed now that her relationship is public.

Dorcas knows that Marlene's friends judge her even. For being a Slytherin. For being Nick's stepsister. Perhaps they think she is pretentious and superficial. And even if they try to act nice, Dorcas feels the tension. Especially coming from Macdonald. She is overprotective of her friend.

Daisy still hasn't accepted that her only daughter, the apple of her eyes, is into girls. But Dorcas knows it is even worse that she is into Marlene.

Dorcas knows about the past relationship between her mother and McKinnon The Star. Marcus McKinnon, an ex rugby star, and Marlene's father. Dorcas doesn't know what happened between them but things didn't end up well. Now they hate each other.

It seems impossible between them, Dorcas thinks. Rival houses. Enemy friend groups. Enemy families. Feels like the world is against Dorcas and Marlene.

But right now, Marlene wraps her arms around Dorcas and comforts her, and somehow Dorcas feels they were meant for each other.

"Don't worry, princess" Marlene whispers "It is us against the world, right?"

Dorcas smiles.

"Yes, mud girl" she answers "Is against the world"

"I love you" Marlene adds.

"I love you too"
