a low-stakes but infuriating banking rant for anyone who wishes to learn my woes:
I set up a recurring payment in my online banking to transfer a percentage per paycheque into a savings account.
My bank site gets a full digital remodel, new features added, old pages archived. okay it's definitely more complicated now but c'est la vie with so many tech sites, sucks but whatever.
After a while I want to stop these recurring transfers, but I find that the site section where you can access previously configured payments is just straight up GONE. I can create new ones, I can edit things that go into some other accounts, but the stuff I set up in #1 is just gone. Poof. Doesn't exist.
Fine okay I can go to the bank in person like ye olden days. It's appointment only though, and I can't book an appointment online though, the online appt booking section is throwing 404's.
I also can't phone in an appointment because the phone line it 100% automated options and there is no option for booking or talking to a human. ditto the site contact forms.
fine fine okay okay I can just walk in and maybe they can take me on my lunch break (the hours I work are incompatible with the bank teller times, can't go before OR after my shifts).
I go in person and they say the only person who works there who can help with this specifically is really backed up with appointments and MAYBE they can take me in a month or two. A MONTH OR TWO.
