Epic fail in the dough department...

I didn't really think my new experimental baking options would turn out perfect my first try... But, I find myself a little peeved than I thought I'd be if I failed.

I know my down fall was in over working my dough. I've heard it time and time again to not over work the dough or it will be tough and chewy. I think I was subconsciously taking my frustration out on my dough!

Nevertheless, the biscuits were like hockey pucks and the cinnamon buns didn't rise and get all nice and fluffy.

Total shit day in the kitchen, but I will always take one for the team and keep plugging away at cooking. I'll never give in to failure, not when I love to do something as much as I love to cook.

My next attempt at a doughy situation was this past weekend when I made the soft pretzels. THEY ARE AMAZING! I did good, very good! I actually surprised myself quite a bit with my pretzel success. I even made a cheesy mustard sauce to accompany the pretzels and that turned out awesome, too! I was just all around blessed in the kitchen this past weekend.

i can't wait to see what obstacles I get to encounter this week!
