I hardly see any heroic posts about Muslims on here, so here you go.
I love that it takes the time to specify that his attack of choice was a flying kick
The hero the world needs
I remember this. But I feel we’re missing some key points. When it happened, he was out jogging with his puppy:
He heard screams and sprinted towards them. He jumped a fence, saw a man pinning a woman down and immediately fly-kicked him in the face, knocking him out. He then gave the woman his jacket because her dress was ripped and got her a taxi home. She only managed to get in contact with him and tell the papers cause she later found his driver’s license in the pocket of the jacket.
“If I see a person in danger then I will intervene. I would not want to ignore it and then read the next day that a woman had been raped or murdered.”
And his message to the attacker:
“He is a coward and a man with no morals. I won’t forget his face.”
Glaswegians will always fly kick someone I swear. Good on him.
Like seriously I wish we had a more comprehensive sex education program in the U.S. You know how many guys I know who had no idea an unaroused vagina is only 2-3 inches deep? Or that the cervix raises up when aroused to accommodate dick? Or that if a girl is “tight” that generally means she’s not turned on and you’re shitty in bed? Or that the cervix has an entire cycle it goes through throughout the month where is changes hardness, placement in the vagina, wetness? Like, when you’re ovulating your cervix gets soft and raises high up into the vagina and your hormones get you really horny. It’s like natures way of moving the furniture around and fluffing the pillow for dick because it wants to get pregnant. And before menstruation, it gets really hard and low in the vagina. It’s basically inactivating it’s Facebook and saying “I just need some alone time for a few days”
Ladies and gentlemen, take a moment to learn about vaginas. Men, take an interest into your woman’s menstrual cycle!
U.S. Needs better sex Ed because I’m a 23 year old woman and didn’t even know all of this
Hi I had no idea about the cervical cycle.
God bless this post pls share it far & wide
Very informational! Pictures of an entire cycle here.
Ok I didn’t know about the cervix thing until recently and I always wondered why sometimes sex would be painful and other times it would be fine.
This is what they don’t teach you in school that you really need to know.
Casual reminder that not everyone who ovulates is a woman. But otherwise. Good info.
I saw pictures of the cycle just now and it’s freaking amazingly educational, wow. I really advise you all to follow the link above.
Cemetery forests would be great, if you could get them to work out ecologically. Not only would you have healthy, sustainable burials with physical markers to mourn at, you’d also inspire emotional investment in conservation and promote old-growth forests. No one wants to chop down great-great-great-grandpa Karkat the oak tree for lumber.
@ask-treekat
you’re kidding me
You want a haunted forest. That’s how you get a haunted forest
Well, better a haunted forest than a haunted useless plot of land filled with concrete and steel and hundreds of gallons of poison that we have to constantly manicure. Haunted forests are classy *and* contribute to the world by absorbing CO2 and producing oxygen, providing shelter for wildlife, and help get goth teenagers to appreciate nature.
“We laid him to rest up on boot hill. Now he’s a right pretty poplar that moans his killer’s name when there’s a light breeze and a full moon.”
I could get behind this plan.
Also: either all forests are haunted or none are
Hobbyist forester here. All forests are haunted, yes, but not necessarily by things formally human. Also this is a good idea and I endorse it.

Carrie Fisher being an absolute treasure in “8 Out Of 10 Cats.”
The Art of Lying
#Pinnochio learned how to deal with his problem and he dealt with it well
He was the first politician.
Coraline is a masterfully made film, an amazing piece of art that i would never ever ever show to a child oh my god are you kidding me
Nothing wrong with a good dose of sheer terror at a young age
“It was a story, I learned when people began to read it, that children experienced as an adventure, but which gave adults nightmares. It’s the strangest book I’ve written”
-Neil Gaiman on Coraline
@nightlovechild
This is a legit psychology phenomenon tho like there’s a stop motion version of Alice and Wonderland that adults find viscerally horrifying, but children think is nbd. It’s like in that ‘toy story’ period of development kids are all kind of high key convinced that their stuffed animals lead secret lives when they’re not looking and that they’re sleeping on top of a child-eating monster every night so they see a movie like Coraline and are just like “Ah, yes. A validation of my normal everyday worldview. Same thing happened to me last Tuesday night. I told mommy and she just smiled and nodded.”
Stephen King had this whole spiel i found really interesting about this phenomenon about how kids have like their own culture and their own literally a different way of viewing and interpreting the world with its own rules that’s like secret and removed from adult culture and that you just kinda forget ever existed as you grow up it’s apparently why he writes about kids so much

Imagine that one day the whole world would look like this.
fucking nature can’t learn to stop
Reblogging this to give you all a link to Life After People, a really good docu-series about what would happen to the planet if everyone died, complete with accurate scientific breakdowns.
Every Pixar movie summarized in terrible Microsoft Paint drawings.
what
Lmao had me Rollin
#where is his award???
I will never not reblog this.
“You can’t be funny without being offensive!”
Um
“Functional, healthy family relationships can’t be funny! Only dysfunctional relationships where the family members despise each other can be hilarious!”
UM
“Everything has to be edgy and dark and violent and push the line to be good!”
If you genuinely believe that, then you’re not trying hard enough.

Pokemnemonic
i hate this comic because i saw it like 5 years ago and to this day this is still how i remember it
Bugs trump Grass because that’s their environment.
Confused about why Bug-Moves are super effective against Psychic.
Bug, ghost, dark are strong against psychic because they are common fears/phobias ! (Yknow because Psychic….brains and all)
Still don’t get why Ghost beats Ghost.
The artist’s name is Jim Gentry!
