It’s always “I love you” and never “I’ll be your mirror baby” 😔
are you ever just so glad a certain fictional character exists
I found a Situation to put Chris Bean in
I'm putting him in the world of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, "as" Zoey
so he'll hear everyone's thoughts through song

Who in the Cornley Drama Society do we think came up with the idea to take over the BBCs Christmas Carol? On one hand I think Chris cause he’s the director and he’s desperate to prove himself, but on the other hand, he’s Chris, so did someone else come up with the idea and Chris ran with it?
Whats ur favourite 'goes right' plot for a cornley play (including specials but pan and christmas carol are a cop out cmon)
Personally a big fan of 90 degrees, I think mostly because they make no attempt at a happy ending - except for the lesbians of course
I love 90 degrees too! My pick would be Summer Once Again though. I’d love to see it play out at a normal speed because it seems genuinely interesting. I love interpersonal drama with a bunch of twist and turns. And I wonder what different things could've gone wrong had they not restarted.
Hey if you See This can you reblog this or comment on this with a character you headcanon as aromantic, asexual, or both. It can be canon it can be founded on absolutely nothing I just need more aroace stuff on here #yay

hey sorry I snapped at you, I've just had a really hard day and [remembers focusing on myself is selfish] maybe it's your fault for provoking me?

Thank you so much for the ask!! I'm slowly but surely making my way through these, so sorry for the delay!
Here are some of my headcanons for Chris and Trevor living together (set in the same universe as the fics I wrote for CornleyChristmasChaosInJuly2025, this also means the christrev in this isn't inherently romantic, more of a QPR nature, but feel absolutely free to read romance into this!!)
Chris lives alone in a flat partially paid for by his parents, and Trevor has roommates.
By the end of season one, Chris' parents refuse to continue paying for his flat as he's pursuing theatre as a career, against their wishes. Chris knows he can't afford to live alone (the housing market is crazy everywhere, including Cornley lol), but who does he feel comfortable enough to live with?
Max and Sandra live together (Chris doesn't want to intrude on their space as newlyweds), Annie and Vanessa have just moved in together (they've got a one bedroom flat which it took them AGES to find), Robert and Dennis live together (Chris would rather go into architecture like his parents want him to than live with those two) and Jonathan lives alone, but has his daughter stay with him two weeks a month (Chris can't imagine him getting on well with a seven year old girl).
This is at the same time that Trevor starts complaining more and more about his roommates and coincidentally staying the night on Chris' couch after production meetings turn into late nights after a few drinks.
Chris finds out Trevor is looking for a new flat and struggling to find one. After a rehearsal, the two of them are sitting in Chris' office, Trevor hunched in an old armchair (it doesn't look comfortable at all), Chris at his desk with his laptop in front of him. Trevor is waiting for Chris to finish so he can give him a lift back to his flat, but Chris stopped working a while ago and was looking at flats to rent. He's found a really nice one, lovely view of the park, and is debating showing Trevor.
In the end, he bites the bullet. "I, eh, I found this," he turns around to show Trevor his laptop screen. Trevor leans in to read it.
"Ooo, that's quite nice. Bit out of my price range though, lord knows you dont pay me that much."
"How about if we split it?"
"What?"
"It's two bedrooms, you're looking for a place, I'm looking for a place."
Trevor sits up straight. "You're looking for a place? Why, what's wrong with your old place?"
Chris shrugs. "Can't afford it anymore." He recalls his mother's icy cold tone over the phone but forces down the feelings it brings up.
"Oh, right. ... And you wanna live... with me?"
"We're both looking for places. We work together, with the amount of time we spent together especially these last few weeks we may as well live together."
"Huh, fair enough."
A few weeks later they move in together, and it all goes really smoothly. Surprisingly smoothly in fact. Sure, they argue and bicker, but they argue and bicker at work and in meetings constantly. The nature of the arguing stays the same, just about different subjects now.
"I find it absolutely astounding you managed to use three mugs for one cup of tea," Chris mutters from the kitchen, intentionally loud enough for Trevor to hear.
"Oi, who hung those shelves up to begin with? That's right, me. If it weren't for me you'd be living in a shelfless flat and you know it."
"If it weren't for you, I'd be living in a flat without steelies cluttering the hallway."
"Those steelies help me pay rent you knobhead."
"Rent which you haven't sent me yet, by the way."
"Oh shit, sending it as we speak."
"Thanks."
They each have their own room, but spend a surprising amount of time in the living room together. Not necessarily together, but they're sitting in the same room doing their own thing, and it's nice. Trevor's presence is grounding for Chris, he finds it easier to focus when he can hear him pottering about in the kitchen or Duran Duran blasting through his earbuds.
Trevor feels the same. Chris is oftentimes found at the little dining table that doubles as a desk typing away at his laptop or on the couch with a crossword. He's a constant in Trevor's day-to-day, reliable. Especially when he's not working, he keeps himself busy. He sketches and paints a lot. He started by painting in his room, but he ran out of things to paint (the window in his room faces a brick wall, he drew the short straw) so ventured out into the living room. The view of Cornley Park was an obvious scene to capture, but he focuses on different aspects of it each time. One of the many big weeping willows that lined the park, the snippet of a pond peeking between the trees, one time he even saw Max and Sandra going for a walk and got a quick sketch of them holding hands and laughing before they were out of sight.
Chris is always really impressed by his paintings. They're not very naturalistic, but he loves the colours Trevor uses. One of them is hanging above the TV, after Chris insisted.
Trevor wakes up later than Chris, but Chris goes to bed earlier than Trevor. They've got a little routine going, Trevor does the dishes at night and leaves them to dry, Chris tidies them away in the morning. Trevor tidies the living room before he goes to bed, Chris tidies the kitchen when he wakes up. (This entire schedule goes completely tits up when they're working, as is expected, but after a few days of rest after a show they naturally pick up their respective duties again.)
They try and have dinner together as often as possible. Neither of them are prolific cooks so it's usually something simple, and since the dining table is usually covered in documents and scripts, they eat in front of the TV a lot.
Sometimes, when neither of them are doing particularly well, they bump into each other in the living room in the wee hours of the night. Chris unable to fall asleep, Trevor unable to go to bed. (In writing this I remembered I have a WIP for this lol, might post it later (will link it if I do))
The other main thing they argue about is the temperature. Chris is always too cold, Trevor is always too hot. After a particularly vicious day where they'd changed the thermostat a total of 45 times in three hours, it gave up, and they were left in a freezing cold flat.
"Fucking hell, you alright there?" Trevor says as he walks into the living room.
Chris looks up from his hunched position, peering at his laptop. "Yeah, just... absolutely freezing."
"Maybe that's because you're wearing a ridiculously thin cardigan."
"It's the warmest thing I own."
"What? Jesus Christ Chris, right, one sec," and Trevor leaves the living room. A few seconds later he comes back in and hands Chris a black hoodie.
"But this is yours?"
"Yeah, so? It's nice an' warm."
"I don't—"
"Just put it on or freeze, I don't care."
A few minutes later Trevor looks over and sees Chris wearing it and smiles to himself. It makes sense, somehow, him wearing Trevor's hoodie. They didn't argue over the thermostat much after that, Trevor would see Chris wearing that black hoodie and eventually more hoodies that just so happened to be lying around the living room.
In the beginning, they'd buy separate everything; different bread, different kinds of milk, different pasta shapes, but the more time went on the more they shared (not just food).
"Chris!" A voice shouts from the bathroom over the roaring of the shower.
"What?"
"Can you add shower gel to the shopping list?"
Chris sighs. "If you finished it, you buy it, that's the rule."
"I haven't finished it! We're just running out!"
"Fine, I'll add it to the list," Chris says as he makes his way to the kitchen to add 'shower gel' to the shopping list on the fridge.
Once Trevor joins him in the kitchen, hair still slightly dripping, Chris asks, "When did we start calling it our shower gel?"
"When you started using my toothpaste."
If they weren't in sync before, they are now. They become so good at reading each other, Chris just needs to shoot Trevor a specific look for him to get the others to quiet down and Chris to see Trevor pulling a specific face for him to call a smoke break. They learn to read each other like an open book. Trevor knows when to slide over a box of ibuprofen by the way Chris closes his eyes, Chris can tell when Trevor hasn't slept properly and leaves him alone so he can nap on the grid.
Chris isn't used to having people round (at some point, Trevor became the exception), but somehow their flat has become the hosting flat. They have movie nights, game nights, members of the society just drop by on a whim, and while at first Chris found it slightly overwhelming, he begins to learn he doesn't have to be the perfect host every time someone comes round. The others understand when he stays silent at his desk, hunched over some documents or a crossword, minding his own business. They can make their own tea and grab their own biscuits, and it makes Chris feel kinda fuzzy inside.
It doesn't make sense. They're practically polar opposites of each other. Trevor is never still, Chris needs a peaceful environment to focus. Chris is tidy, Trevor is messy. Trevor is always too warm, Chris is always too cold. But somehow, they manage to balance each other out perfectly.
Chris doesn't let people in easily, but somehow Trevor has wormed his way through Chris' tough exterior and had made a home for himself behind his ribcage. As he looks around the living room of their shared flat, paintings and pictures of their friends lining the wall, sweatervests hanging next to black ripped jeans on the clothes horse, a dining table covered in scripts and notebooks, a coffeetable covered in bottles of ceramic paints, and his stage manager sitting on the floor, tongue poking out from his mouth in focus of the small paintbrush he's carefully dragging along a vase to make intricate patterns to match the curtains, and he realises he wuoldn't have it any other way.
Thank you so much for the ask, again so sorry it took so long, but I hope you enjoyed!!

The greater context of this poll is that I am currently working on a TGWS crossover with the DnD video game Baldur's Gate 3 in which our Cast is a travelling bard/theatre troupe.
In-world context regarding the game under the cut!
Which personal quest seems most interesting to you?
The Dauntless Bard
An Archfey's Favoured
A Halfling Confused is, Well, Something
A Cleric's Endurance
And a Golden Heart to Match
The Githyanki Bard
Drow of All Trades
A Vow Not Taken Lightly
The Conjurer of Elturel
I wonder if people recognize the Cast in 'verse and will yell famous lines at them
