I've seen so fucking many of my favorite musicians get all of their work copyright claimed and delisted from the internet because some bigger company issued a cease and desist for using a 2 second sample of their copyrighted music and they didn't have the money to go through a long and risky court battle to defend themselves, so they had no choice but to comply. if you're an ~aspiring artist~ yourself and you want to start making money off your art you'd better hope a bigger company doesn't take notice of you and decide you were stealing their intellectual property, or you're going to be in for a rude awakening when you find out what stronger copyright protections means for you personally
