but i stay silly! *←said in the most world-weary voice you ever did hear*
“but I stay silly!”
Reblog you stay silly
on it boss
i’m not going to say this gently because i need to hear it bluntly: identifying any individual, including yourself, as “An Abuser” or “A Victim” as though they are immutable roles will only ever serve to perpetuate cycles of abuse and violence. in either case, you are eliminating the autonomy that goes into one’s choices and behavior.
for example, if you identify yourself of someone else as An Abuser, you have preemptively eliminated the possibility of a future that involves healing or change. the Abuser doesn’t need to try to be better, because by conceiving of An Abuser as an ontological and intrinsic role (rather than a situational one), you have relieved them of any onus for their behavior. “they can’t help it; it’s in their nature.” it is all An Abuser ever can be, so it is all An Abuser ever is. they must be socially punished, ostracized, shunned, and eternally repent for the harm they caused. the Abuser is irrevocably marked a pariah and recovery is impossible.
the coin’s other face, of course, is identifying A Victim. in doing so, a possible future or opportunity for growth is also eliminated but for the inverse reason: as A Victim, they are infantilized. of course they are not responsible for any of the ways they have been treated—however, they also are never forced to question any subsequent behavior. A Victim is always innocent, and therefore does not need to analyze their actions. if A Victim acts in the same way as An Abuser, all the teeth are removed from these actions by the Victim’s ontological innocence. “of course they acted that way; they’re traumatized.” A Victim is never fully able to grow out of their fear response or conceive of a situation where they will not be hurt, and their infantilization is perpetuated ad infinitum, simultaneously relieving them of any responsibility to process/grow through their trauma or consider ways they may go on to hurt others in the future. frozen in Victimhood, they are only ever allowed to be helplessly acted upon and fall into the clutches of another Abuser, never able to themselves do harm to another or heal.
anyone can be abused/victimized, and anyone can victimize/abuse. in many cases, single dysfunctional interpersonal relationships can have multiple different instances where these roles are traded off. no one is intrinsically destined to be one or the other. framing oneself or anyone else as an ontological Abuser or Victim will only ever continue painfully dysfunctional relationships. people are capable of change and growth, and restorative justice must include providing safe environments for people to do so. they/we must be able to conceive of themselves/ourselves (and others) as more than the remains of their/our worst experiences. making mistakes is the first part of getting better, but we must still try.
Do you believe in ghosts?
No, and I don’t get why others do
I can see why others would, but I don’t
In theory yes, in actuality no
Neutral/I have no actual opinion on the matter

gonna be so real i did not realize the bottom was about purchasing and shipping automobile parts. I thought they were straight up intending to kill and dismantle the UPS truck like some auto mechanic apex predator.
Get an ask in my inbox -> read it -> "oh, that's nice; I need to think of a good response" -> "this deservea more attention than I can give it rn; I'll take another look at it later" -> close inbox until later -> "later" never really comes -> forget -> repeat

People who think sheep are killed for their wool are so hilarious to me. Does your barber slit your throat whenever you get a haircut?? Are you a returning customer to Sweeney Todd? Lmao it grows back, fools.
This is completely ignoring the fact that the sheep's soul is stored in its wool. So sure, the body remains, but the spirit, the essence of the sheep, that's gone forever, and then as the wool regrows a new soul moves in.
Same for me, I get a new soul with every haircut. That's why my personality changes so much.
Tumblr citizenship means being completely unsure if the person posting about sheep souls is being 100% serious or is just taking the piss.
THEY TAKE THEIR PISS TOO?!?!?
Yup, stockpiling it in giant buckets to pour on the poor
nowhere else
swifties always going on the "you just hate women" defense like first of all Taylor Swift is not a woman she's an unskippable ad
actually yes this needs to be kept as part of this conversation
Penetration is a gender-neutral act. Topping is gender-neutral. Bottoming is gender-neutral. You are not more or less of a man or a woman depending on how you fuck. You are not “fake trans” for having sex a certain way. You are not any less masculine for bottoming or any less feminine for topping.
Additionally, acting like being penetrated is an act of submission is deeply rooted in misogynistic, cisheteronormative ideas of sexual intercourse, as in "penetration is something that is done to women for the sexual gratification of the man, nothing more, therefore it is inherently degrading and feminine".
A cishet man getting pegged by his cishet girlfriend is not gay, he's not less of a man or submissive by default. A cishet man getting pegged by his cishet girlfriend can be sexually dominant and simply likes to be fucked in his ass - these two can co-exist. Yet, in the eyes of cishet society, a man that likes to have his ass played with, must enjoy it because it's "degrading" , not because it simply feels good.
That's why I so heavily preach about the difference between sub/dom/switch and bottom/top/vers. Penetration can be used to increase the feeling and severity of a power dynamic, but it doesn't create one. These two things are entirely separate from eachother, unless connected willingly.
wasn't sure which version to post, or how to combine them, but upon retrospect, they're practically identical anyway.
Making them in pairs and posting both has a nice way of keeping me from stressing about having to choose which option is better.

I'm a gay ftm who's had phallo. When guys flirt with me at gay bars I'll tell them I'm trans and if they're normal about it, we have a nice normal chat. If they are suddenly too into it and start making crotch assumptions and "I've always wanted to try that" type statements, I let them talk themselves into a corner then tell them I have a dick. When they follow up with some form of "uhh I guess I can still fuck you" I suddenly stop slouching and get in real close, a bit physically intimidating, and say something like "you have the wrong idea about who'd be getting fucked." Despite me being kind of weird and ratty-looking, this has a 100% return on them getting all flustered and asking for my phone number. I don't fuck them because I have better things to do with my evenings, I just like playing with my food. And after fourteen years I'm bored of Gender 101ing nosy people on demand.
you're unbelievably powerful, anon, that fucking rules.
