Art and writing from Moonie

I drew this winged Harumasa for my friend Nozomi_Higurashi's fic When Icarus Doesn't Fall, which is a YYH crossover. I know nothing of YYH but I really liked the idea of Harumasa with wings so I got inspired.

He is supposed to have marks on his face too replacing the corruption marks spreading during his Story... but when I went to check how they'd sit... they were conveniently on the side of face that it turned away from us.

I was supposed to be writing the next chapter but instead I drew these two. Say hello to Arashi and Kaito, two OCs I've never bothered to draw before. Or well, I have a sketch of Arashi but I needed to make a proper picture of him, especially after I refined Reika's design some years ago.

So yeah, Arashi is Reika's father and part of Iwa's explosion corps- He is wearing the Shiroishi clan's variant of the uniform, like Reika.

Kaito is Kairi's father. As you can see, in Kairi's original fic, she very much dressed like Kaito, the only difference being lighter coloured shirt and different length pants. But then again, in that fic Kaito was dead so Kairi mimicked him a lot. While Kairi got her hair cut short in Konoha Crush, she is planning on growing it long again. In the Dandelion-verse, Kairi will keep her hair short.

Also took some pose inspiration from the drawings I already had of their daughters.

I've been turning an idea of my SI-OC Kairi ending up in Konoha while still having her origins in Suna... Yesterday I finally posted the first chapter of that story to lay background on how to make it possible.

Fox in the Dandelion Sea

So here is some art of Kairi in different ages.

3yr old when she first arrived in Konoha. She really got a dandelion puff of hair and resembles Minato at that age.

12yr old when she graduates from Ninja Academy. She is very basic genin wear, with her sandals, heandband and shuriken holster being the base blue.

15-16yr old when manga canon starts. The fic will take place in Dreaming of Sunshine verse like Kairi's og fic did as well. Partially to leave the canon divergence heavy-lifting to Shikako (ha ha) and partially because the timeline Silver Queen crafted is very meticulous.

A rarity from me, posting canon characters instead of my ocs...

I call this work Balance. It was two-ish months ago when I was struck with the idea that Steven and Wallace alternating as the Champions of Hoenn was like how Groudon and Kyogre keep each other in check. Also, their elements match the Legendaries as well.

But it was only now that I decided to draw this. The composition had been in my head for a while already, just needed me to actually start working. Had some troubles on the way... Like, what does Wallace's oufit look like from the back? Or... why is Groudon so hard to draw compared to Kyogre?! Stupid overgrown heatmor! And last but not least... how do I draw the wave Kyogre is making (and it is going to the wrong direction), why is water so hard?

My SI-OC Yasmine with her siblings. She looks a bit out of place with her blond hair. Timothy and Lavender got their brown hair from their mother and blue eyes from their father Chardon. She then disappeared and the father married Faranak. Yes, Yasmine is Kaveh's half-sibling. So she got her red-ish eyes from Faranak and blond hair from Chardon. In my fic Faranak is brunette... Houx got similarly to T&L brown from mother, blue from father. And Pivonie is adopted... she is Molli from that one WQ that I really hate.

My fic timeline is still... when Houx and Pivonie are babies, while this pic is from when canon is about to start.

Chapter 4 of Chasing Shadows is in now as well. I should post updates here more often but eh, never been good at that.

Waking up in the middle of nowhere is disorienting. Meeting your sister's OC for her favourite series even more so. Finding out you are now in the body of a 7-year-old, and apparently 10 years before the start of the canon, thus making you fit in the same age-group as the protagonists? Alarming.

Midorikawa Shuugo was very alarmed. But he pushed it all down. If he was this early, he needed to take advantage of it. Especially when it was very likely his sister had come to this world as well. And said sister definitely would not be able to resist the temptation to take a look at her favourite characters... Whenever her memories of the previous life awakened.

Another day, another Advent Calendar picture. This time snow has unexpectedly arrived to Sumeru with… predictable consequences. Remember to step carefully! You never know where it's slippery and icy.

I was responsible of day 11 of our Genshin discord server's Advent Calendar. Chose Natlan characters because others were doing other nations a lot... I'm moderately happy with these preparations for very... Finnish Christmas.

The characters were done traditionally and colored with Promarkers and then the background was filled in at MSPaint.

I gotta fix Mualani's face at some point... I freehanded it with too thick pen... And yes, I forgot Ajaw even though I many times tried to remind myself to add him.

I just realized that I never uploaded the finished version of this drawing here. But here it is... almost half-a-year too late.
