basically as an albedo fan paralogism felt like hoyo way too hastily and shallowly tying up most of his loose ends so they don't have to think about him anymore and going "There! All done. Now you can rest easy knowing that no, we WON'T ever do anything truly interesting with him. Aren't you glad you got to see all your old faves again? :)"
his citywide transmutation circle aura moment was cool i guess but are we ever going to dig into any of the latent emotional depth of his storyline? no? well fuck me i guess
and what kills me is i know. i KNOWWW genshin has the ability to execute a consistent emotional arc for a character over the course of several years. wanderer is RIGHT THERE.
it really feels like the current writers got handed albedo from an older team and had no idea what to do with him. and went down the checklist of open questions like it was a chore, penning in the simplest, most frictionless, easiest-to-move-on-from answer to each one. feelsbadman
