I think Marley decides in his head that Jane must have broken it off with Roz after he moved to fucking Ottawa for her, because there's just no way he was the one to break it off, that man was besotted. I think Jane becomes public enemy number one in Marley's eyes due to an entirely made up scenario he concocted in his own little mind. Thank god he found Hollander and everything worked out, they probably never would have gotten together if Roz had still been on the Bears, despite the insane chemistry they had at that one All Stars game. Whenever I see the word problematic, I can’t help but think of this professor being like, “Good starting point, now let’s get specific.” I think when we have to commit to saying “that’s ___” it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever we’re claiming.
