Around 5 years ago (-ish. I need to find the old calendar to confirm), I started rewarding myself with stamps when I wrote. It was originally stickers, but stickers hadn't really clicked with me.

My husband bought me a set of really tiny (about 10 millimeters each) Detective Conan stamps a long time ago. I assigned certain stories a stamp and a color (sometimes I use the same stamp with a different color, as evidenced here) and reward myself with a stamp for every story I work on.

I remove the chest plate because I genuinely have no idea what to do with it (also it doesn't make any sense, but he still has an artificial heart)

I feel like post canon shinichi would actually be whimsical again just like in his first episode because he gives me the type of person to actually live his childhood again as himself because how long he's forced to "grow up", with healing and therapy of course

my main idea for his powers is that he can control his energy in him (just like generator rex) hence why he creates holograms

he has some other complex constructs too but it is still limited because it still needs to program them
