I still find it funny Kyogre has a Cowboy Accent in Poketopia because like... Buddy where did you learn that? It feels like Groudon would have that more then you. I know its prob meant to vaguely reflect Archie (even tho they talk differently) but still I don't see that being how its always spoke. Did May or Brandon talk like that sometimes and you just picked up on it? I need the story please.
The reason it talks like that is that Hoenn is the Pokemon equivalent to Kyushu, which is in Southern Japan. It also refers to itself with old-man lingo in the original Japanese, so the accent was just the translators trying to get across that it's old and from the south, basically.
