UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE YOUR FIREPLACE OR STOVETOPS OR CARS FOR HEATING DURING A SNOWSTORM AND POWER OUTAGE.
As soon as my friend told me he was affected by the power outages I told him DO NOT USE THESE HEATING SOURCES FOR WARMTH. We had a historical event like this in Quebec wherein people were trapped in their homes for several days due to a heavy snowstorm and they died because of this. There isn't proper ventilation in this situation and you end up trapped with the carbon monoxide killing you or incapacitating you for a long time. Please share this.
if you live in washington state, please take down & deep-clean your bird feeders! there is an outbreak of disease and we dont want to spread it <3
februrary 14 2021 -- western WA they should stay down until march; if you live in eastern WA, keep them down until april. this includes hummingbird feeders! it's not dangerous to humans, just birds. thanks for doing ur part to keep birds safe :)
State fish and wildlife officials are very confident the hummingbirds will be able to survive without human intervention, even through a col
update: the outbreak is affecting essentially the entire west coast of the us. put those feeders away!!!!

a non-selective plan for the resurgence of fic commissions
Too many children in the comments like âI think authors should be able to share ko-fi links :) itâs just niceâ and âOP is just a cop.â Homie, OP is trying to keep AO3 fully functional without interruption. I will report your ass, too, because I value fic artists and our freedom of expression and my audience and our shared history far more than I value the few bux you wanna make on a commission.
It is not hard to link to your Tumblr or Twitter with a vague message like, âIf youâre looking for my other works or other ways of supporting me, go here: link.â I have had people buy me coffees after enjoying my fic and asking where to support me. I threw up a link to my Tumblr and people cared enough to follow it. They were fully understanding when I explained in the comments that they could not commission me and I could not link them directly to any donation platform, but they could go to xyz link to read more. And they did! Nobody has to put AO3 directly on the firing line.
Go ahead and commission independently. Just do it anywhere else except on AO3. And then donât come crying to the community when you, personally, get a C&D from a massive corporation.
AO3 is our bullet shield. Tumblr will pull your shit down. Wattpad wonât fucking protect you. LJ and FF.net already sold our asses for one (1) corn chip. AO3 is trying to protect us, you goddamn lemmings.
If you cannot follow the rules that protect fanspaces, you do not belong in our fanspaces.
The only people who misunderstand this are doing so intentionally and maliciously. Do yourself a favor and block the infants who think this isnât a big deal.
Holy shit dude
This sounds like... really important? What the FUCK Disney??
They are just straight up not paying loyalties! "Disneyâs argument is that they have purchased the rights but not the obligations of the contract."
This is seriously dangerous to creators
Read the letter from Alan Dean Foster:
Dear Mickey,
We have a lot in common, you and I. We share a birthday: November 18. My dadâs nickname was Mickey. Thereâs more.
When you purchased Lucasfilm you acquired the rights to some books I wrote. STAR WARS, the novelization of the very first film. SPLINTER OF THE MINDâS EYE, the first sequel novel. You owe me royalties on these books. You stopped paying them.
When you purchased 20th Century Fox, you eventually acquired the rights to other books I had written. The novelizations of ALIEN, ALIENS, and ALIEN 3. Youâve never paid royalties on any of these, or even issued royalty statements for them.
All these books are all still very much in print. They still earn money. For you. When one company buys another, they acquire its liabilities as well as its assets. Youâre certainly reaping the benefits of the assets. Iâd very much like my miniscule (though itâs not small to me) share.
You want me to sign an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) before even talking. Iâve signed a lot of NDAs in my 50-year career. Never once did anyone ever ask me to sign one prior to negotiations. For the obvious reason that once you sign, you can no longer talk about the matter at hand. Every one of my representatives in this matter, with many, many decades of experience in such business, echo my bewilderment.
You continue to ignore requests from my agents. You continue to ignore queries from SFWA, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. You continue to ignore my legal representatives. I know this is what gargantuan corporations often do. Ignore requests and inquiries hoping the petitioner will simply go away. Or possibly die. But Iâm still here, and I am still entitled to what you owe me. Including not to be ignored, just because Iâm only one lone writer. How many other writers and artists out there are you similarly ignoring?
My wife has serious medical issues and in 2016 I was diagnosed with an advanced form of cancer. We could use the money. Not charity: just what Iâm owed. Iâve always loved Disney. The films, the parks, growing up with the Disneyland TV show. I donât think Unca Walt would approve of how you are currently treating me. Maybe someone in the right position just hasnât received the word, though after all these months of ignored requests and queries, thatâs hard to countenance. Or as a guy named Bob Iger saidâŚ.
âThe way you do anything is the way you do everything.â
Iâm not feeling it.
Alan Dean Foster
SIGNAL.
BOOST.
Because you know if Disney gets away with not paying creators, everyone else will want to see if they can get away with it.

How to support podfic & podficcers!
Iâve seen a few âHereâs how to support writersâ posts, so hereâs one for your friendly neighbourhood podfic people!Â
Podfic is more well-known these days, but in case you havenât come across it: think of it as fan-made audiobooks for fic.
If you like podfic and would like to help the people who make it make more of it, here are a few easy tips and tricks:
How to support podficcers as a writer:
Post a permission statement somewhere public! That can be your AO3 profile, your tumblr bio, the tags of your works⌠Preferably all of the above! You donât have to give âBlanket Permission,â it can be an âask first but Iâll probably say yesâ or an âleave a comment and I will decide on a case-by-case basisâ statement. Or even a âBlanket noâ statement, which will spare the podficcers the time and energy to track you down and ask you, only to be told no thank you. If you want to be asked, though, make sure you specify an up-to-date way to contact you.
Share the podfic! If someone makes podfic of your work, the most helpful thing you can do as a writer is share it: accept the related work notification and add the âpodfic & podficced worksâ tag on AO3, but especially share the link on Twitter, reblog the podficcerâs post, etc. You donât have to rec the podfic or even listen if you donât want to-itâs not expected of you! You donât have to say anything but âLook, this exists!â Your audience as a writer is almost always much bigger than the podficcerâs own audience, so by sharing the post with your followers, you will help increase the podficâs visibility and chances of getting feedback, which in turn will probably motivate the podficcer or inspire other podficcers to record more of your stories/your fandom.
How to support podficcers as a listener:
Give feedback! If you think writers get little reward for their efforts, oh boy do I have news for you about podficcers. Thereâs a bunch of reasons why itâs logistically harder to leave feedback on podfic (weâve all downloaded and listened to something & then⌠forgot to come backâŚ.), and readers sometimes donât know what to say. If youâre looking for inspiration or a place to start, here are some ideas for leaving podfic feedback: Podfic Feedback Toolbox by KLB, and some useful vocabulary to comment on podfic by yue_ix. Feedback on podfic is so rare that I guarantee you that every single kudos notification, comment, tweet, squeeing tags on a reblog, ask or nice AO3 bookmark is cherished forever.
Share the podfic and/or rec it! Maybe new people will be intrigued and give it a try, which will increase the demand, which will motivate your current podficcers and attract new ones, you know the drill.
In general, the more podfic-positive and responsive a fandom, the more podficcers will be attracted to it. So if you love podfic and would like there to be more⌠You know what you have to do :p
And if youâre new to the idea of podfic and donât know where to start: There are more than 22,000 on AO3 right now, in a multitude of fandoms, ratings, lengths, voices and styles. You can usually stream them right on the page, and you can always download them to listen to later. Itâs never been easier to have a fluffy ficlet keep you company while you do the dishes or to have someone tell you your favourite AU as a bedtime story.
And thatâs it for me! Please share this post and feel free to add your own tips or ask questions if you have any. :D Thank you for reading!
You know, I never used to listen to much podfic⌠But podfics of all of astolatâs witcher fic just got me through the move from hell.
And now I have bought a PS4.
I blame everyone!
(Support your podficcers.)
A New History of Fandom Purges
On November 24th, 2018, I posted a list of major deletions of sites or of content on sites that stripped fandom of its history. A bunch of pro-shipper blogs had just been deleted, and people were nervous. I suppose I was thinking âAll this has happened beforeâŚâ
On December 3rd, 2018, Tumblrâs Department of Irony announced the NSFW ban. Thanks for providing this salutary lesson to The Youth and a billion reblogs to me, I guess.
Today, we have AO3 for writing. Audio, images, and video are in as much danger as ever, yet fans attack AO3 every donation drive. For those of you who forget our pastâŚ
HERE IS WHAT HISTORY HAS TAUGHT US!

2018 - Tumblr announces NSFW ban
2018Â - Wattpad deletes accounts/fics without warning
2019Â - China purges weibo of m/m; more women jailed
This is only a small taste of the many times that:
Fannish moderators got bored, ran out of money, or had a falling out, deleting a site/list/forum along the way.
Sites got bought out and closed for being unprofitable.
Fandom got hit as governments targeted piracy or political dissidents.
Fans grudge reported each other.
Official forums got deleted when the canon finished.
Itâs not always malicious. Itâs not always about us. But we lose every time.
Some of these purges hit everyone. Many of them hit m/m content specifically or female gaze-y material in general. This is why antis are dead wrong. This is why anti-fujoshi policies end up being anti-m/m policies. This is why we need clear labeling, not content restrictions.
This is why we need AO3.
And itâs why we need a solution for audio, visuals, and video too.
On the final day of OTWâs donations drive, let us remember why we need a site like AO3:
A site for the ânastyâ stuff
A site where you donât have to worry that your work is too fringe
A site that wonât bow down to internet bullies or to big media
For all those Chinese users now sneaking on via VPN, for everyone stuck at home trying not to think about the pandemic, for all those pro-shippers deleted in 2018 who the whiny antis in my notes are trying to pretend donât exist:

I thought there might be a lot of other people who would benefit from reading this, too.
(Original tweet.)
In recent days, there have been a number of posts on tumblr about third party apps that host AO3 fic on them. A lot of people are worried and even more people are pissed.
There is no need to send in emails to AO3 Support or to the Policy and Abuse team. They are fully aware of the situation and are probably drowning in emails right now.Â
Hereâs what I know and what you can do about it.
Fluff app / Fanfiction Pocket Archive Library app / Archive Track Reader app:
These apps work as a sort of skin for the AO3 site itself. They donât download works and redistribute them. They provide an access point to AO3.
The developers of these apps are making money from the app itself (through tips and subscriptions - both voluntary), which wouldnât exist without the free content created by AO3 authors. Since people post their work to AO3 because it is free to access and hosted without ads, authors are understandably angered by this.
Because these apps are basically just a portal to the site, a DMCA notice will not apply in this case. All works currently hosted on AO3 will show up on these apps, because these apps are simply letting you view AO3 through their interface.
Woodsign company apps (including MCU, Harry Potter, Sherlock, Creepypasta, and more):
These apps seem to curate some fic from the various fandoms and rehost it. They allow users to read offline, so itâs possible they are redistributing it. In this case, a DMCA takedown might be effective.
This app developer is also making money by hosting fanfic that was written and posted for free on AO3. They have put up a paywall so that you can only access the complete fic if you pay for it or rate the app in the App store.Â
If you want to post a negative review, consider saying things like:
* these fanworks are free already at archiveofourown.org * you can kudos, comment, bookmark, subscribe, and mark to read for later for free with an archiveofourown.org account * you can also download fics to read later in various file formats - both pdf and formats that are usable by ereaders * archiveofourown.org is a website with full mobile browser accessibility. Anything you can do in this app, you can do on the site - for free, and without ads * the Archive is a fully-licensed non-profit organization run by volunteers, unlike this for-profit app
There is no official AO3 app. The website is mobile friendly and if you want to have quick button access to it, you can Add to Homescreen on your phone and you can click in just like you would on an app. None of these third party apps can provide you with AO3 support. Only AO3 can do that. The best version of the site will always, always be the site itself.
If youâve read this far, please signal boost so that AO3 Support can get fewer tickets. And if you love AO3, consider donating to them. They accept donations year round, not just during their pledge drives.Â

More attention is on identifying autism in children as early as possible and support for the health and well-being of autistic adults.
âIf youâre trying to get rid of autism, youâre trying to get rid of us, and thatâs something our community takes really personally.â
One of the other members of our small Yahoo Groups Fandom Rescue Project was talking to me about how past archival teams didn't get enough non-Western media and a lot of people were very upset by this. They were concerned our project was going to have the same problem....
âSo hereâs the final call: If you want more groups saved, come help. If you want a list of groups for you to save, join our Discord and ask. (Link found here.) I can run a search of a partial (itâs impossible to get a complete list out there - weâre having to do all manner of processing data to get what weâve got) list of groups for any keyword or keyword combination, or search specific categories for more groups than can be found in the directory itself, and Iâm happy to do so. But please donât show up later and wonder why we didnât save your favorite fandom, Western or non-Western. â
Yep. We did our best.
And before anyone asks, yes, we have like 10 copies of 1x2ML.
But Iâm sure thereâs plenty that has fallen through the cracks. Speak up now or forever hold your peace.
THIS!! #gowithemptyeskies
the lesbophobia thing
Lesbophobia is real. Itâs the prejudice, bigotry, and oppression that exists at the intersection of homophobia and misogyny. Let me say it again: Lesbophobia is real. Hate for lesbians is real.
However, it is essential to acknowledge and understand that the term lesbophobia has been co-opted by a loud and growing contingent of LGBTQ women in communities that share troubling ties and ideology with factions that exist inside the alt-right movement â worse, the dangerous dogma thatâs attaching itself to word the lesbophobia has found a new home at AfterEllen.
I first encountered the word lesbophobia in response to the post I wrote called Queer Women Take Over The 2016 Emmys. Her Story got a revolutionary nod for Outstanding Short Form. Kate McKinnon took home a trophy for Saturday Night Live. Sarah Paulson won for The People vs. O.J. Simpson. And Jill Soloway scored another victory for Transparent. On social media there was a small outcry that I hadnât chosen the headline âLesbians Take Over the 2016 Emmys,â despite the fact that Kate McKinnon was the only winner who explicitly identifies as a lesbian. (In fact, Sarah Paulson is on record saying, âI refuse to give any kind of label just to satisfy what people need.â) The reasons the handful of dissenters gave for my decision to call the Emmys queer was that I am a lesbophobe, an espouser and executor of lesbophobia.
To be very honest with you, I shrugged it off. The most unwinnable battle we have at Autostraddle is labeling LGBTQ people in a way that satisfies everyone. Itâs such a constant struggle, we laid out an explanation about labels in our official comment policy. Recently on a Pop Culture Fix, I wrote about the new queer characters coming to The Good Wife spin-off. One of them will be a lesbian, according to the showâs writers; the otherâs sexuality has not been labeled. So, I said, âThe Good Wife spin-off will prominently feature two lesbian, bisexual, gay, homosexual, or otherwise queer-identified women.â Just to cover all my bases because it was almost Christmas and I was tired and I didnât want to have to argue about labels. And yet, the cries of lesbophobia came in again. I got a couple of emails, a dozen or so tweets. Essentially: âLesbian is not a dirty word! Saying queer is lesbophobic!â
So, on December 26, I tweeted something I think is a true, fair, and accurate analogy:
Yelling âlesbophobia!â when someone says âqueerâ is like yelling âwar on Christmas!â when someone says âhappy holidays.â Come on, y'all.
A couple of days later, AfterEllenâs official Twitter tweeted at me and said: â@theheatherhogan oh, agreed. Itâs like yelling âbiphobia!â and âtransphobia!â when someone says lesbian.â
To which beloved Autostraddle cartoonist Dickens replied:
âAfterEllen is three weeks shy of transforming their website into an online support group for victims of wyt lesbian genocide. This is honestly the most ridiculously entitled white lesbian coated petrified bullshit I have seen in a long time. And if you donât think white supremacy has reached out its dirty little fingers and touched a few groups of marginalized white folks, well. Keep an eye on their feed here and there. Keep an eye on their former writers. They arenât just trying to Make Lesbianism Great Again⌠They are asserting their strength. They are erasing the visibility of the defectors. They are sliding their salty little asses into spaces and feeds where they must know they are clearly not wanted or cared for. I was never a fan of AE but this new image theyâre building for themselves is a little too Nazi-adjacent for my galaxy Blaaaack aaaass.â
Dickens was, of course, correct. And her point was proven once again the very next day when an article blasted out to the 125,000 followers of AfterEllenâs official, verified Twitter account cried: âLesbian Spaces Are Still Needed, No Matter What the Queer Movement Saysâ. It suggests that trans women and bisexual womenâs desire to be included in queer womenâs spaces is to blame for the decline of lesbian-specific spaces, which lesbians need to stay safe from trans and bisexual women.
That kind of rallying cry feels very much like the âSave Our White Neighborhoodsâ rallying cry of the alt-right, so I went on a deeper dive to try to find the origins of what I called âthe lesbophobia movementâ on Twitter. And what I found was more horrifying than I ever imagined.
A few weeks ago AfterEllen â which everyone presumed dead after the company that owns it effectively fired everyone, including longtime editor in chief Trish Bendix â announced it had acquired a new editor named Memoree Joelle. In October, Joelle, tweeted a Change.org petition that sheâd signed called Take the L Out of LGBT. The petition is a direct response to a previously failed petition that called for GLAAD, the Human Rights Campaign, HuffPo Voices, The Advocate, etc. to Drop The T from LGBT. The most popular supporter of the petition is a guy you might know called Milo Yiannopoulos. He signed it, tweeted about it, and dedicated 3,000 words to it in a post on Breitbart. Thanks to Miloâs urging, Matthew Hopkins, one of the main perpetrators of Gamergate, wrote a post called âWhy #GamerGate Should Help the âDrop the Tâ Campaignâ on his personal blog. Hopkins called it âone of the most politically important campaigns of our generation.â
In addition to signing and tweeting about the petition, Joelle commented her approval. When former AfterEllen writer Elaine Atwell brought Joelleâs support of the petition to light, Joelleâs comments disappeared from the petition, and so did Elaineâs byline from the hundreds of articles she wrote over the last five years at AfterEllen.
The comments on the Change.org petition mention lesbophobia multiple times and equate it with trans activism, as do the subreddits that discussed Joelleâs contribution to the petition. âPart of lesbophobia is hating us for our same-sex attraction, but another very big part of it is hating us for our rejection of men,â one user wrote on /r/GenderCritical/. (Trans women are almost always referred to as men on this particular subreddit.) Another Redditor on /r/actuallesbians decried the âmale entitlement and lesbophobiaâ of protesting the petition. âThe moment we talk about your rape culture or your male violence weâre âtransphobicâ or âbiphobic.ââ (The men in this comment are actually trans women and ârape cultureâ refers to the constantly espoused idea in TERF communities that trans women are male predators.) The lesbophobia tag on the blog GenderTrender is a deeply disturbing trip down an anti-trans rabbit hole. The lesbophobia tag on the website 4th Wave Now is horrifying; it equates allowing trans kids/teens to come out and live openly as their true gender with child abuse, ideas that are â again â shared with Breitbart and Milo Yiannopoulos. Reddit and Tumblr are absolutely flush with lesbians using the word âlesbophobiaâ to back up the ideas presented in these âDrop the Tâ/âThe L Is Leavingâ petitions.
These spaces that use the word âlesbophobiaâ to attack trans and bi women or people who use the word queer share more than than an ideology with Breitbart. Youâll find them saying things like âtrans women want to colonize the lesbian community.â Youâll find them using the phrase âSJWâ (meaning Social Justice Warrior), a pejorative term coined by the Menâs Rights Activist movement. And youâll find a lot of talk about how the correct âbiologyâ is the thing that allows people access to the protections of the majority. And lots and lots and lots and lots of just truly sickening propaganda leveled at trans and bi women. Itâs very much about creating an in-group and scapegoating an out-group through tried and true tactics that have been â Iâm sorry â utilized by Fox News and the alt-right for years.
I wrote about these things on Twitter, and you can read Dickens further unpacking them here and here. (You should read that last thread before you jump in here and call her âmy black friend.â)
Look, we didnât just wake up one day with an openly racist, openly sexist, openly xenophobic, openly ableist, openly anti-semitic president in the White House, appointing the leader of the most dangerous white supremacist website in history to his top advisor position. We watched blatant and unabashed white supremacist language and ideas slowly take over the movement from the inside. We watched the most powerful scapegoat the most vulnerable. We watched Fox News make heroes out of the white men who murdered unarmed black children and terrify people with their whole War on Christmas bullshit and equate all Muslims with terrorists. A Nazi didnât walk into the West Wing and have a seat; the slow creep of white supremacy laid the path for him.
Vox did a fascinating interview with former conservative talk show host Charlie Sykes earlier this year. He quit over Trump. But the whole interview is him agonizing about how, to him, the GOP had always been about fiscal conservatism and states rights and he believed in that ideological purity so deeply that he fooled himself into believing thatâs what the GOP was about to everybody, despite the fact that he saw the white supremacy and fascism slowly gaining power and momentum until it took over.
To realize, first of all, that youâre part of a movement that was not the movement you thought it was, that youâre aligned with people that you didnât really understand youâre aligned with, and to realize that everything that you thought about the conservative intellectual infrastructure was really piecrust thin. You thought you had this big principled movement and then suddenly along comes Donald Trump and you realize that it was just was just the pastry on top. So I think disorienting is a great term. Disillusioning is not too strong either.
To me, what weâre talking about with lesbophobia is a similar thing. Is lesbophobia a term some lesbians have rallied around to protest the prejudice and bigotry that exist at the intersection of homophobia and misogyny? Yes, of course. Absolutely. HOWEVER. I had to go searching for people using the word lesbophobia like that because my entire experience with the way the word kept popping up in my timeline and in my comments and in the comments sections of other websites was to decry the use of the word queer and to espouse anti-trans and anti-bi ideology. And that includes every single person who landed in my mentions on Twitter when I started talking about this. I did not click on a single profile without finding anti-trans, anti-bi language; or ask a single person if they believe trans women are women and have them say yes.
If you are a woman who is using the word lesbophobia to NOT do those things, and youâre more angry at me for pointing out that itâs happening than you are at anti-trans/anti-bi people who have hijacked its meaning, I ⌠I truly donât understand. Whatâs happening at AfterEllen is terrifying me. Maybe the website is technically dead, but it still has clout and power and itâs using it to push some really dangerous ideas about lesbian exclusivity, and those ideas are shared by a very loud group of people who use the word âlesbophobiaâ on their blogs, social media, Reddit, etc. to vilify the people (like me) who stand against them.
I donât want to cause anyone pain. I donât want to make anyone feel unsafe or unloved or unaccepted. I DO NOT BELIEVE LESBIANS ARE NAZIS. I AM A LESBIAN. If you truly think thatâs what I was saying when I unpacked these ideas on Twitter, Iâm sorry. It was not my intention.
I do think, however, that itâs imperative for you to open your eyes to how the word lesbophobia is being used to persecute and oppress trans and bi women in very vocal and influential spaces that have direct ties in ideology and language with the alt-right.
An incredibly important read.
Via Crystal; language in propaganda is important, and often subtle.
TL&DR AfterEllen is no longer a community resource. The entire AfterEllen staff was fired. The new editor has connections to the alt right movement, and is using the website to spread divisive propaganda. Theyâre also erasing the credits of former writers from older articles, presumably to make it look like theyâve always worked there.
Alt righters have co-opted the word âlesbophobiaâ to pit lesbians against bi/trans/queer women & vice versa. Classic divide & conquer tactic.Â
Note: This coincides neatly with the rise of âqueer is a slurâ discourse on tumblr.
I have noted before that I have seen far more use of the word âlesbophobiaâ to attack trans women (particularly those who are primarily or exclusively attracted to women) and/or cis bi women than to describe actual lesbophobia.
Like clockwork. A radfem lesbian separatist who treats biphobia and transphobia as nonexistent axes of oppression, thus claims everything that doesnât align with political lesbian/radfem ideology as âlesbophobicâ or âlesbian erasureâ. (Both in scare quotes to denote the misuse of lesbophobia and lesbian erasure.)
They raise the plight of lesbians to a holy and untouchable status, above all others. All the while mocking, calling into question, and erasing all other forms of marginalization and discrimination. Because, according to douchebags like uselesslesbianrf, the only thing trans and bi women have to contend with is âno one dating themâ, and âinvalidationâ. No doubt that this piece of work, and all others like them, would go feral if anyone invalidates lesbians. (Considering that invalidation is a broad, extremely general term, itâs unclear how that can be used as a tool to dismiss the abuse others suffer.)
Which is all the more ironic considering how this blogger think that this post calling out the use of lesbophobia-libel as a silencing tactic = invalidating lesbian oppression as a whole. Funny that.
This is the misappropriation is lesbian oppression as a dogwhistle for reactionary bigots infiltrating feminist groups, queer and LGBTQIA+ groups, and specifically queer womenâs groups.
You want to know why this didnât get addressed while the term was actually in the process of being warped like this a few years back? Because everyone who tried to bring up the fact that it was happening was calledâyou guessed itâlesbophobic.
So as a lesbian who no longer feels comfortable even using this very important word because it now so often means âIâm a lesbian whoâs mad that I got called out on some form of bigotry,â fucking cosigned.

This. Radfems have taken the term lesbophobia - a very real and useful term - and turned it into yet another dogwhistle. Itâs exhausting.

Some stupid ho just commented on a post I made about how disrespectful it is to remove/crop-out someone's name from their content, saying it's not a big deal, that's it should be flattering even, and I'm just like
Is this what being a brainless mouth-breather that's never came up with any original thought before in your life is like?
Don't screenshot ish and crop out the OP's handle, kids. If nothing else, it makes you petty AF.
Lolololololol this bih is arguing aesthetics with me now.
"Some pages have a theme! Tags aren't pretty!"
M8, tags were small and innocuously sitting in corners before biches like you decided it was fine and dandy to remove those. Now they're big ol' watermarks planted where you have to be extra-skilled at photoshopping to get rid of, and the fact that y'all still try to do it says quite a bit about you.
