Grace was SO REAL for this #like thinking of all the Space Movies we've seen where no matter what #the ship or the base is pristine; carefully kept clean and clutter-free #because that's what we expect (dating back to footage of NASA missions and all)#and i think there's a degree of thinking “oooh they're professionals and they're astronauts!”#and we have this reflexive view of astronauts as largely serious people with military discipline #but i will be on record saying that if you put me in space and especially if i was all alone on the ship #fuck it -- i would absolutely wind up with stuff strewn around and piles of shit and stuff #i'm so impressed by this as a detail for Grace -- it makes for a very funny bit of course but it's such interesting characterization
