The lack of summary is alarming because of literally everything happening right now in America. So act before they vote!!

Hello, I am (your name here), a cornered citizen who takes issue with your support of the proposed Bill H.R.722. Vote no. 

Women are being dehumanized, demonized, and painted as untrustworthy when they are trying to receive medical care. Furthermore, fetuses do not equate to the life of a living woman. 

This bill is absolutely the most invasive way you have attempted to control Americans. 

The Bible is not the Constitution, nor is it the law of the land. You did not swear to uphold the Bible. You did not get a job as a priest. It is ludicrous that your position on women's rights comes from a book started in 1400 BC. You do not get an opinion, other than ‘Yes girl, do what you want with your body, I respect you as a person’. This is health care. Life-saving care for women. If Jesus were alive today he would be disgusted by the late-stage capitalistic surveillance state driven by a patriarchal oligarchy that you push and hold so dear. 

There are 8 billion people on this planet and you think that everyone is going to have the same white Christian views as you? That is asinine. I mean honestly, are you even ashamed of being a Nazi for the sitting president?

The rights of every woman in this country should not be argued again in Congress. We went over this before, women wanted a choice and freedom. The fact that you have used marketing and brainwashing to continue to convince women that they want no other life than the life of a mother is disgusting. What difference does it make to you? It makes all the difference to women everywhere. This is health care. The government should not be in women's health care. You guys have proven time and time again that all you will do is fuck up. Go away. 

Why are you so obsessed with it? Why will you never view women as equals? Or even people. It’s because women came from men, right? They are something a man uses as an accessory. But here’s the thing, God created Adam, realized he fucked up, then took something from him because he didn’t matter so why not lose the rib. Then created something better, women. And men will never get over it. 

You are the puppet for a Nazi who believes women are less than, nothing but a pussy to grab. This bill is about nothing more than the attempt to control women. This isn’t about the “sanctity of life” it’s about control over women. The combination of DEI rollbacks and the pro-birth agenda threatens all the women in this nation. Women must be able to lead their lives in the direction they see fit. Americans are supposed to be in charge of their bodies, Americans have the right to free speech and the freedom to express themselves, and the right to bodily autonomy. 

Here, I’ll hold your hand. These aren’t just American rights, these are also God-given rights. That everyone is allowed to have because everyone is a person like you. Like me. 

Don’t try to think of this as the right of a “preborn human person”. The fetus doesn’t have rights, the fetus is cells within a woman’s body (this is science) and since it is her body she may do with it as she sees fit. It is in no way an easy decision, this is not something women are doing with joy. 

No woman is going through 8-9 months of pregnancy and then thinking ‘Hm.. Maybe I’ll kill the baby inside me that I was so excited to have’. The abortions that do occur during this time frame are from miscarriages. Which are traumatic and tragic and should be dealt with by the parents and doctors. Did you get your medical degree? No. So how do you possibly know better? 

Furthermore, who wants to carry their dead baby inside of them? All because the “great nation” of America decided women are nothing more than a housing unit for men's children? 

It’s health care, if you don’t understand it, that’s fine, but don’t then try to insert yourself where you do not belong nor know what's happening. I’m sick of the narrative that this is saving women and going to save the lives of so many babies. This is going to kill women and their children. The lack of health care women will have because of this will kill them. And it's not because the resources don’t exist, it's because the government stuck its nose where it doesn’t belong and once again biffed it. It’s getting old. Go away. Go back to your corner you crotchety bitch. 

Stop trying to ruin the lives of the 168.6 million American women. Also the statistic of the women who do want this ..it’s just brainwashing. If they actually knew what was happening I’m sure they would be against it too.

Vote no on this stupid fucking bill. Don’t get butthurt and try to get revenge. Do you know how many protests will happen if you do vote yes? Box your feelings and opinions up, and stop trying to work through the Bible. This is America, not Jerusalem 1400BC.

Some of us are on here on tumblr or other platforms but loosing TikTok is proof the government doesn’t care about us

They bent their knee willingly and gave up space and a platform they did not have to. They consciously decided to fuck over their user base when there was no valid reason for them to do so.

I've seen people talking about how you absolutely do not want to obey ahead of authority, and to see TikTok do it is... weird. It's unsettling. It feels like a dangerous stunt.

Specifically, it feels performative. It's got the marks of a Great Drama™, and given Trump's first 4 years and his absolutely bonkers love for theatrics over anything else, this just feels hollow. Like TikTok is trying to turn it's - generally younger - user base into "fans" of the republicans.

They can't really scoop up youths any other way, honestly. But using a big impactful story and putting Trump as the "hero" who saves their beloved platform.

It's not even the 20th and I just don't like how this new administration is starting. I do not like a private company complying beyond the letter of the law in advance of that law either. Because the only thing the law laid down was that they couldn't update the app on Apple and Google.

I was and still am a Bernie supporter, and I hate a lot of things about Clinton, but none of that matters anymore. If Trump is elected, people are going to die. Women are going to die when Roe v Wade is overturned and Planned Parenthood is defunded. LGBTQ people are going to die when conversion therapy is further legalized and more bathroom bills are passed. POC are going to die as Trump rounds up Mexican immigrants, gives more power to the police, and fuels the fires of Islamaphobia. Poor people are going to die as Obamacare gets overturned and further cuts are made to welfare programs. And that’s just in this country. That’s not even taking account the all-too-likely outcomes of Trump starting new wars in the Middle East and having control of nuclear bombs that he’s said he ‘would not rule out’ using.

You have situations where women were placed in institutions for “frigidity” and otherwise refusing/being unable to conform to these ideas of wifely duties, were subjected to medicalized torture, corrective rape, often had their entire lives stolen from them. 

Some of these women were lesibans and some of them were ace/aro, or at least would probably think about themselves that way if they lived today. Some were CSA/rape survivors with trauma, and some were simply women who had been forced to marry a man who they didn’t want to have sex with. More often than not these categories overlapped.

There is no way to be sure how any one of these women would have identified. Their thoughts and feelings are lost in the past, forgotten, viewed as no value. Even if we could speak to them today the labels that we use today to understand ourselves might not make a lot of sense to them. 

We can’t differentiate between these individuals without engaging in ahistorical reification. You can’t lump everyone together and say “this is lesbian history and it is a history of violence” without violently erasing those women who were not lesbians, or even for that matter those cafab people caught up in this net who, if given the opportunity, would not have identified as women. 

believe what you want about your vote not having the intended or ideal level of power, believe what you want about the electoral college or the modern role of voting in a democratic society, believe what you want about american centrism or flawed systems, but don’t let anyone tell you there’s “no difference” in the general election, please don’t let anyone tell you voting does nothing. your vote CAN and WILL protect vulnerable people and help you stand in for people whose votes are being taken away by a gutted VRA and gerrymandering 

But “creepy” means that their “shot” is over.  If they’re creeping us out, that means anything else they do will just creep us out more.  Pushing the issue will just mean they’re being more of a creep.  It’s over.  She’s never going to be interested.  Goodbye.  It is the ONLY word we have that shuts off all opportunities for them.  It is the only word we have to set our boundaries in stone.

That’s why they’re obsessed with policing it, that’s why they want it to be unusable, or call it a slur, that’s why they keep wanting explanations and claiming creepy is too vague, because they can nitpick and rules lawyer and push against explanations.

If we say they had bad breath, it means pop a breath mint and try again, if we say we’re tired, it means try again tomorrow, if we say we don’t like them, it just means we need to get to know them better, if we say we’re in a relationship, it means wait until it’s over (or try to sabotage it if they pretend they’re our friend), if we just want to be friends, it means for them to wait until another time, if we hate that they’re a transphobe, they’ll try to convince us they’re really not, if we think they’re exotifying us for our race, they’ll try to dictionary fight us about what exotifying means and it’s “just a preference”, if we say we’re gay, they’ll say that we just haven’t met the right guy, if they touched us and we didn’t like it, they’ll try to convince us we’re over sensitive and it’s a compliment, if they were following us around, it was just them really liking us and not stalking.  On and on and on, everything we say and do will be picked apart as to why it is totally okay for them to keep haranguing us and why we objectively mustn’t rule out dating them.

Hell, there are sites upon sites upon sites, and bestselling books teaching men how to push, talk, pressure, confuse, trick, threaten, and nitpick their way past our “nos”, past our explanations, past our boundaries.  To so many guys, “no” (and any variation of no, including all explanations) means “wrong tactic, try again” or “she’s just playing hard to get.”

So we HAVE to say “you’re creeping me out”, because they ARE, because a lot of the behaviours above are creepy, because not leaving us alone is creepy, because anything else we say gets pushed back onto us, and they refuse to respect our boundaries, and that is fucking creepy!  Creepy is the only tool we have to definitively send a message to a guy we’re not interested.  You’re creepy, if you do anything else towards me, you’ll be even creepier, and THAT they do understand.
