Monster4Monster bracket: final winners!
Apologies for the late announcement, btw. my third year of uni started right around the same time the poll wrapped up and I got hit with a ton of work to do.
Anyway, thank you everyone who participated in the tournament and got invested in these fun monster ships! I took a chance on making a weird little tournament blog based on a shipping niche I assumed few would care about. and I’m happy it’s grown into a great celebration of monsters in love with each-other. It was an underrated ship dynamic in my eyes and I wanted to do it justice by getting others invested in it through submitting and championing their own examples of the trope. I’m really happy for all the love this blog has gotten over the past year or so and how many people got invested in it. Writing propaganda and gushing over their favourite pairings and monster characters, it was a blast to watch unfold in real time and I can’t thank you enough!
I’ll be honest, I don’t know what to do now apart from maybe make a few honours losers round polls honouring the lovely ships that didn’t make the top 3 cut. But rest assured, this blog isn’t going anywhere and I’ll continue to post about monsters and Monster4Monster love for a lot longer than the duration of the first poll tourney! I’ve got a few ideas for polls I might run in the future, but if those don’t come to fruition, I’ll probably just use this page as a general monster appreciation blog. Either way, I’ll try and stay active for as long as my fascination/hyper-fixation on all things monstrous and inhuman lasts.
Anyway! Congratulations to the winning ships and pretty much every great monster4monster pair and their shippers that contended! Have a happy Halloween season! 💜💚🖤
