since becoming a victim of scammers i’ve discovered that i’m not a good person. like i usually don’t wish harm upon people but i want these demons to die a violent, slow, excruciatingly painful death for preying on so many innocent bloggers, myself included. i hope hell is real so their suffering never ends.

But someone just message me to tell me they and friends have mass reported my account for fraudulent activity and scam by mistake.
They sent me a screenshot from Tumblr email say my account is marked for deletion and investigation.
I am fucking inconsolable. I guess this is me saying if I lose everything. Thats why. All my work. All my friends and connections. All the nice comments I ever received. Everything. Im fucking distraught. Im petrified. I dont know what the hell to do
Okay. Panic over. I think? Im not sobbing as much anymore rather than just sniffling. I'm sooo fucking stupid, I feel ridiculous. Im usually so tech savvy and clued up on this shit but I just went into instant panic mode.

My nervous system is so damn fried. I had a massive family incident on friday/Saturday that really triggered tf outta me. Work is really grinding me down and then this? The panic of losing my pride and joy, all my hard work, this community I love - it just completely and utterly made me meltdown.
So anywho. Fuck you to the person that sent me this and made me have a panic attack. I hope both sides of your pillow are warm at night.

Something I think about a lot is how carefully SM tried to make it so that Bella couldn't really be 'blamed' for anything. I'm not sure I'm articulating that right. But it came up the other day with the ask about the top five things that don't make sense and the tent scene.
It seems to me that SM found herself surprisingly interested in the Jacob/Bella dynamic. That was never part of her original plan; remember, she wrote Twilight and then Forever Dawn (which was basically had all the same plot points as Breaking Dawn eventually did). She had already written E/B's wedding, birth of Renesmee, Bella being a vampire. Jacob was just a family friend with a minor crush. But it's pretty clear he took on a life of his own in the middle books that SM had not originally planned for and my theory has always been that SM liked the idea of Jacob/Bella but not as much as the Edward/Bella endgame she had literally already written. So what to do? She wants them to kiss, so she makes Jacob force himself on Bella so that Bella is blameless. She wants them to snuggle, so she puts them in a cold tent where Bella literally needs Jacob's body heat so Bella is blameless. She wants them to kiss again, so Jacob threatens getting himself killed, so Bella is blameless.
And none of the Cullens seem at all bothered by whatever is going on with her and Jacob, and they don't have the details because Alice can't see him. It would be natural for some of them to be like, "uhhhhh, what? Is she cheating on Edward?" but no! She is innocent and blameless and they all (except Rosalie) adore her! Part of the family already! Don't even worry about it! Alice even says something like "wow it must be hard to have two good options" like she is a neutral observer and one of the options isn't her brother. They aren't even bothered by her making Edward, the only mind-reader and the only one who can communicate with the wolves when they are in wolf form, sit out the fight to the death that their relationship caused. They're cool with it. Because no one can resent Bella for anything, and if they do, they're bad.
And then we have Breaking Dawn. Bella's been begging for vampirism for awhile now, but maybe wanting immortality and power and beauty might be selfish? Can't have that. She's dying in childbirth. Now it's not just an emergency transformation to save her life, she's sacrificing herself for someone else. She's absolved, and so is Edward.
Even with silly stuff, like the clothes and parities. It might be selfish of Bella to want those things, so she doesn't, but Alice just gives them to her anyway.
It's okay for your protagonist to be selfish sometimes! It's okay for them to be blamed for stuff! Let Bella be messy and take the blame! It's okay.

whenever i hear about somebody's loneliness i think of my wife, who once went to a baseball game and within ten minutes was splitting a bag of peanuts with the elderly gentleman next to her (she does not like peanuts). a woman once bought her a drink because my wife called her "ma'am" while holding the door for her and her husband, which my wife found so unnecessary that she sent her one back. every restaurant discount we've ever been offered is because when a server introduces themselves my wife repeats their name back and makes sure she refers to them by name throughout our meal. last night she was off driving a friend's coworker to buy a snow shovel, though she then stayed to help dig out their car. and in the middle of nowhere north carolina we once ran into the parents of one of her distant friends, where instead of leaving a weird coincidence alone she accepted their invite to dinner, and for the low price of giving up our evening plans we were treated to some of the best fish and the best stargazing and a best memory i will keep for the rest of my life.
i share all of this not just to talk up my wife, which is not hard to get me to do, but because i see people all the time who are so desperate for human connection, with no idea how to access it. but my wife would be the first to say she's not doing anything special. all you need is to show some genuine interest in other people. you need to listen to the things they tell you, and then you need to remember those things. you need to be willing to invite people into your world and to let them invite you into theirs. when your life offers up a chance to be kind, even at an inconvenience or an awkwardness to you: you need to take it. and, honestly, trust me on this, as someone who's still learning how to do this myself but has had the privilege of an excellent teacher: you want to take it. what you give, your life will give back, and i think you'll find that'll lead you to some pretty special places if you let it.
