She huffs, peering over her shoulder to glare at the man.
“You never question my whereabouts. I’m aware of the people you have decided to stick with me like horrendous shadows. Why don’t you bother one of your precious bastards?” She hisses, squeezing the banister tightly.
All she wanted to do was take a long bath. Slip into something else and ignore his existence for the remainder of the day.
“You have a name to uphold, unlike the others. I don’t have a harlot for a daughter. The Dimitrescu name is yours alone. Look at me, Alcina.”
She rolls her shoulders, turning slightly and staring down at the man she calls father sparingly.
“Până și o femeie ușoară aduce mai mult la masă." He states, locking eyes with her. “Your mother has allowed you to frolic about.”
