I was so meticulous with it too, I had organized tracks into a ton of different specific moods and everything so that even if I wasn't actively DJing the DM could reliably throw on a playlist and it would always fit. And when I was DJing the DM could completely focus on running the game/RP and I could enhance the experience with really curated tracks down to being like "oh i know exactly what track would hit for this current rp scene"

and i liked to make my friends cry

a lot of DMs I've had say they "curate" music for the experience but every single time it's just been that they have 3-4 of those "30 minutes of dark fantasy BGM" or "30 minutes of D&D battle music" videos. And like, DMs already do so much. I get it! No hate, those videos/playlists have a purpose!! The last thing a DM needs to worry about is changing the music before/after a scene, etc.

after we brought up concerns to the DM, he deleted the AI slop of his robot and the next day replaced it with AI MODIFIED art (I was able to FIND the original art and artist, even, which feels even more insulting than just straight up generated) of a goblin with a trumpet named Snorkle Earflops

he allegedly works as an animator for dreamworks??? which. glad cams weren't on when introductions were made bc my jaw DROPPED and I wouldn't have been able to hide my utter disdain and full disrespect for this man bc what do you mean you're an INDUSTRY artist and you AI MODIFIED SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK. incredible. I mean even industry artists aren't immune, I'm fully aware, but it also tracks bc he was a really old dude.

anyways I and my other artist friend said that we don't want anything of ours (voice, artwork, writing) put through AI and he was pissy for the rest of session 0 while the rest of us were getting along GREAT, and then he left the campaign overnight.

That's bad enough!!!!!!!! But the entire idea of needing permission from state authorities to access anything labeled mature by our friendly AI overlords is some fucking Boll shit. Die Gedenken Sind Frie baby. This is all a reaction to people getting uppity about their lowly lowly rights and is being propped up by the same bad actors tht have made life unlivable. Fuck that shit.
