while i think mcyt fans have the literacy and character analytical skills of a twig, i do think it's partially on cc!ghostie for the mischaracterization of her character. actions speak louder than exiposition and she does a lotttt of exiposition, however that is an unfair comparison for how long shes been in the smp vs everyone else whos had months to flesh out their stories. she is playing catch up so its understandable,

aj being her biggest character trait impairs her own image because despite her having different values than aj she still bends to aj.

someone said on todays stream that ghositw looks like she used vape, and cc!fhosute was like: "do you actually think that? like actually??" and yeah it was stupid headcanon that directly contradicts everything we know about her but. for every mention of her family and like of following rules theres five mentions of aj the resident rulebreaker 😭

it just annoys me a little that aj is her biggest character trait but its understandable bc that's literally her character inspiration. idk i hate it a little bit but i like ghostie as a personality more to keep watching.

ochako amd toga? a hero and a villain, children on opposite sides of a brutal war. one of them was going to die in battle, and toga decided it wasnt gonna be ochako.

So. ITS NOT DOOMED IF ITS JUST A BREAKUP. FOR EXAMPLE: with the information we know about tf!ghostie and tf!aj, (and i will admit we know very little) they just broke up and aj moved on 🫩 unreciprocated feelings ISNT DOOMED YURI. DONT WATER DOWN MY FAVORITE GENRE DIE DIE DIE

oh another one is zoe and reina from unstable universe. ONE OF THEM IS DEAD. DEAD AND GONE. FOR GOOD. reina is the only player left from skymore (w robin from one piece reference). literally everyone else was wiped out by cindercrest. everyone but reina either was hunted down or starved, or both in zoes case.

in all of these cases, the yuri is doomed because one of them is dead or sacrificed. they literally cannot get together because ONE OF THEM IS DEAD OR IN A DEAD-ADJACENT STATE. and ofc this isn't always the case, and there probably are exceptions where both parties are alive, but its the common one.

also... maybe controversial but its also not doomed yuri if they got together at any point during the story. if two women get together and one just dies for some reason, they still got a chance to be together! THEY GOT TOGETHER. THATS SUCCESSFUL YURI WITH AN UNFORTUNATE END.

he tries to be as neutral as he can when hes on air but sometimes he slips up and makes a probably unwarranted but rlly funny jab at whichever hero/villain hes currently reporting on

and the public LOVES him. hes a fan favorite in the city and theres probably reaction images of him making faces at whatever bs is happening on his teleprompter

itd also be really funny if the industry treats him like a 'final trial' for heros to pass. like if you make it through an interview with him mostly unscathed your company will give you more opportunities bc they trust your pr training to come in clutch
