the intro shot of rick o'connell in the mummy is one of the best and most efficient camera work in an action movie. the way pacific rim utilizes space when showing the kaijus is literally taught in art school. they're not just blockbusters they're also iconic movies on a technical point of view!

i mean the wide shot of when she enters the witch world is just too. . . clean. . . and bright. like this should make people go, ooohhh neat a magic world~~ but it just looks like any other magic world made by someone. honestly it should be more stylized with it's characters and world, there was a few interesting looking things like the eye caterpillar

and the book. but that's just some small stuff that doesn't push things to much in imagination. it's kinda all very basic, which might not be a problem sometimes cause not everything needs to push boundaries in making something fun or interesting but this just seems barebones. hell the "saja witches" there look uninspiring too. disney even if you don't want to put to much work into something by making a typical “main character finds out they have powers and then travel to another dimension” trope. this is like a D in schoolwork which shows that you're trying but you're not trying hard enough for like a C+.
