THE MIRROR MAN   is as impossible as his self perception, a mass of contradictions-- a reflection, fractured. TRAPPED  in a self-made prison of mirrors and endless false faces, he projects this vexation onto all who happen into his unnatural plastic surgery clinic, aiming to rectify your every imperfection. He is the distorted thinking of one narcissistic father lost body and mind to the insanity of self perception !

Dramatic moments in my mind now though haha-- Like the thought of Myron directing his unhinged temper at another doctor not because his pride is hurt for once but earnestly because he's freaking out over his daughter not waking up, and it's YOUR fault, you're the neurologist, and definitely not my fault for not paying attention when she confided her worsening state in me, her father-- aaaa

And the thought that Myron after corrupting doesn't kill kids but just keeps them in the waiting room or wants to turn them into adults is because he's mixing them up with Claire in his mind and he absolutely at one point told Claire it gets better when you're older so he's like-- ah yes, graft on the skin to make her an adult and the nightmares end 👍 not remotely registering how many layers of not making sense he's on

AND THE THOUGHT of him actually stumbling upon Claire again, or she goes back to find him, and she hasn't died or woken up yet, and the way his monstrous form would knock over objects and crawl up walls desperately trying to catch her and it's LIKE a terrible distortion of the scene in the OPAL short itself where she's chased and the family is banging on her door to get in.

[[ SO... LN is infinitely forever vague in how anything works, but I'm wondering how to work in Claire a bit more concretely into how Myron's monsterfication happens... because Claire must be a child who could see nightmares, not a nightmare born child, because she definitely is afraid of her weird, distorted family... so the question is... is Myron and everybody a nightmare that reflects her family or is Myron literally her father taken to the nightmare world and he simply got assimilated into it? I feel like it has to be literally her father, because nightmare myron knows who claire is and keeps her and his wife's photo in his office, a picture of his wife before and after her addictions, a baby picture of him pre-mirrors holding Claire, and a modern picture of Claire. But I don't think...... nightmares are literally nightmares in that way? As in they might be influenced by the child dreaming but not direct manifestations of specific people.... ( Although I'm not sure? The hanging doctor seems like he was kind of mentioned in the real world? But that's kind of a headcanon theory... )

So ok stay with me. I'm using my ADHD to rapidfire thought relation this into existence-- So the podcast references that children who endure nightmares feel parts of themselves erode, they become a bit mentally unwell in some way, they lose something. What if seeing nightmares runs in the family, but the adults endured their nightmares and outgrew it, but it left them with their extremely unhealthy habits. Myron developed severe body dysmorphia-- something mentioned in the podcast at that-- but still had a child and became a doctor. And maybe being a doctor, his line of work allowed him to be near his daughter during treatment for her nightmares more than the others and it managed to get him trapped in the nightmare world-- probably while attempting to get ahold of his daughter, perhaps even trying to save her ( I'll... give mirror man the benefit of the doubt to assume that in the event of life or death he would at least make... An Attempt to save his daughter lmao-- ) but his natural vices made it easy for him to be corrupted by nightmares. Does that..... seem like a reasonable past...? Maybe.
