Marinette Salt Prompt Compilation

I knew when I got the ask for this that I wanted to go towards a more hurtful route. And I knew one of the things I wanted done was Marinette, being aphobic (tho she'll never admit it), looking up ways to "fix" Adrien (and Alix and Max after she thinks about it). So, conversion therapy/camp, corrective harassment/sa, the whole "I can fix him" thing, etc. This is serving as your main warning. Each prompt will have it's own as well.
Prompt 1: I Was Just Trying To Help

Marinette hummed as she scrolled through the site she was visiting. She was writing down the names of different camps. All of them well known to help people who were confused realize they weren't asexual and/or aromantic. There were so many positive reviews!!
The sad thing is that there weren't many since France was one of the countries banning them. She doesn't understand why. These people needed help.
Her Adrien needed help.
She remembered hugging him when he came out, the nervous look on his face. The way Alix and Max had spent the day with him, telling him about their own experiences. Maybe she'll give them the camps information as well.
But clearly her Adrien was just confused. There's no way he's aroace.

Marinette could only watch as Alix and Max lead Adrien out of their homeroom towards the nurse's office.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM!!"
Marinette jumped back as Nino yelled at her.
"CONVERSION CAMP?! SERIOUSLY?! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
Marinette looked around at the angry faces around her.
"I," she gulped, "I was just trying to help! If you just-"
"No, Marinette!!" Alya yelled, "Those places are awful!! They hurt people!! Adrien isn't broken!! Alix isn't broken!! Max isn't broken!! None of them are broken because they fall on aromantic and/or asexual spectrum!!"
Marinette huffed and crossed her arms, "I was just trying to help!! They need help!! Clearly none of you-"
"Marinette. Dupain. Cheng."
Marinette turned around, Mrs. Bustier and her mother were at the door. Sabine had been the one to speak. The fury in her eyes clear.
"Come. Here."
Marinette gulped but made her way towards the door.
"Never have I ever been more disappointed in you," Sabine said, holding her hand up when Marinette opened her mouth, "I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear another word. I'd make you apologize to those poor children, but I know you won't mean a single word. We're going home. Your father and I will discuss your future once you're there. But as of right now, you are not coming back to Francois Dupont."
"WHAT?! MOM-"
"BE QUIET MARINETTE!!" Marinette stepped back as her mother began to cry, "JUST BE QUIET!! I don't know where your father and I went wrong. I thought we raised you better. To think...to think you'd give three of classmates the names of camps that would hurt them. To think you thought they were broken because of their own feelings and identities. Marinette, I don't know where we went wrong. I don't know what happened to my daughter-"
"Mom-"
"But the young woman before me isn't her. Principal Damoclès is waiting for us."
Marinette sniffed and wiped her eyes as she followed her mom out. As they left she caught site of Adrien, Alix, and Max in the nurses office. Adrien was wearing a hoodie to replace his soiled shirt. He had thrown up after Marinette had given him his copy of the list of camps. Alix and Max had also looked sick, but managed to keep their breakfast down. She wanted nothing more than to go in there and tell them they'd be okay. The camps would help.
As if sensing her, Alix looked up from where she was rubbing Adrien's back. She glared at Marinette and slammed the door shut, pulling blind down afterwards.
Marinette wiped her eyes again.
She was just trying to help.
Prompt 2: But What About Our Kids?!

Marinette could only stare.
Adrien was having another interview. She and Alya were watching it together. They wanted to support their friend. Adrien had mentioned he was going to announce something big. Something personal.
She thought, she hoped, that it would be a confession...
That Adrien would confess his feelings for her. She wiped her eyes, looking at Alya when she placed a hand on her knee.
"Hey," she said, "it's okay. This is a big deal for Adrien. I'm sorry it's not what you wanted, but you can still be together!"
Marinette nodded, but stopped as she thought about it. Her and Adrien as a couple. But they didn't do normal couple things. Adrien never kissed her. He only ever held her hand. They had a hamster but no kids. She had to accept that Emma, Hugo, and Luis wouldn't exist. They slept in separate rooms. She wasted away. Motherless.
"But what about our kids?!" She looked at Alya, "We can't have kids!!-"
"Sure you can-"
"He won't want to touch me!!"
Alya sighed as Marinette stood and began to pace around.
"I mean, sure there are other options, but I wanted to give birth to our first kid."
"You know you can talk to Adrien about this once you start dating and become serious, right?"
"Yeah...yeah!! We can talk!! He just hasn't met the right person-"
"What?"
"Obviously I can't do it now, we're too young-"
"Marinette?"
"But once we're older and married, I'll show him!! I'll make him realize he was wrong. And we'll have our babies-"
"MARINETTE!"
Marinette paused, hands clenched, and turned towards Alya, "Yes?"
Alya gave her a look of disgust, "You're not...you're not planning on forcing yourself on Adrien when you're older...are you?"
"No!" Marinette waved her hands quickly, "no! Of course not. It's not force if I can talk Adrien into-"
"YES IT IS!" Alya retorted, "You want to talk him into it? So, what, you two get married and you won't drop it until he gets you pregnant?! You might not be forcing yourself on him, but you'd still be pressuring him into doing it! When I said talk, I meant telling him you want to give birth to your and his kids. See if he's willing to do it at least once. He said he's on the spectrum, so he might be sex positive!! He doesn't know that yet, he's still exploring this side of himself!!"
"But I can't risk-"
"You know what?" Alya stood up, "I'm leaving. I'm leaving, and I'm going to tell Adrien you don't support him-"
"Alya, no!"
"-because clearly you don't!"
Marinette ran after her best friend, begging her to not tell Adrien. She did support him! She was just thinking of their kids. If they didn't have sex when they were older and married, Emma, Hugo, and Luis wouldn't exist. Ever.

Marinette couldn't believe it. She did it. She actually told him. She couldn't believe Alya told Adrien.
Adrien had been avoiding her. Only telling her he wanted her to stay away from him now that he knew, and that he's sorry, but wasn't interested in relationship with her. Now or ever.
She didn't do anything. She was just concerned for their babies. It wouldn't have been that bad. She's sure. She would have made it feel nice. And after they had their three kids, they wouldn't have to do it anymore.
But now that wouldn't happen. And it's all Alya's fault. The fucking snitch.

Prompt 3: I Can Fix You!!

Adrien grew up seeing his parents in love. Seeing that love extend to Nathalie. He wasn't unfamiliar with it. If anything, growing up with it made him wonder why he didn't feel like that. Why he was told he'd understand when he was older, but as he grew he...he didn't. If anything he got more confused.
It wasn't until he started going to school, until he met Alix, and Max, and a few others, that he began to understand. They were able to explain things to him. They were able to see what was happening. The disinterest at best, discomfort at worst. The annoyance that seeped through at times.
They were able to answer his questions, made sure he knew he didn't mean it when he said something offensive unintentionally, and helped him learn why it offended them.
They were with him when he decided to come out to the rest of the akuma class.
Honestly, he'd hope things would have settled after that. But...
Okay, listen. Marinette is a great girl. But she's been making advances that make him uncomfortable. Advances that make his boyfriends uncomfortable. It was always towards him as well. She didn't get as close to any of the other boys as she did with him. She kept trying to get close. Too close. He's told her that she was making him uncomfortable. But she just wouldn't stop.

Marinette frowned as Nathaniel took Adrien's hand and walked out of class with him. They were going to go pick up Marc and have lunch together since Adrien was allowed to eat with them today.
It wasn't fair. Nathaniel and Marc had each other. They didn't need to take her Adrien from her. They didn't need to fill his head with the nonsense Alix, Max, and the others were filling his head with. Everyone knows asexuality and aromanticism weren't real. Anyone who says they are either hasn't met the right person, just doesn't want to admit they're waiting until they're married, or are probably gay and want an excuse to hide it.
She was trying to show Adrien what his real feelings were. That he would like it when she pressed against him. When she laid her head on his shoulders. When she tried to hold his hand. Do things she's seen Nathaniel and Marc do.
She was trying to show him he was just exploring right now. That this was just a phase. And when it's over, she's the one he'll like.

"Can you quit it?!" Marc yelled. He's lost count of how many times this has happened. They knew their relationship with Nathaniel and Adrien would bring eyes on them. That some people would be upset or accuse either him or Nathaniel of stealing Adrien from them. But he didn't expect Marinette to be one of those people.
And what makes it worse is her invalidating Adrien's identity. She clearly doesn't support them being together.
"Clearly you don't care about us! You're like the others who bother and harass us! "Wah, you stole Adrien from me! You turned him gay!" GROW THE FUCK UP!!"
Marinette stared at the writer in shock, before she scowled, "I am not like them! I'm not accusing you of turning Adrien gay!"
Marc scoffed, moving to block Marinette's view of Nathaniel and Adrien.
"Funny," he says, rolling his eyes, "because, yes, that's true. What you do is worse. Because you KNOW what Adrien identities as. You KNOW what his boundaries are. Adrien TOLD you. He made sure YOU were in class before he TOLD you. But you decided, no. I know what Adrien's real feelings are. And I can show him that by breaking those boundaries and doing things his BOYFRIENDS do. Because only THEY have permission to do so. Why? Hmm..Nathaniel?"
Nathaniel looked up from where he was running his hands through Adrien's hair, "Because, unlike Marinette, we talked about what we wanted in this relationship. We listen to each other. We won't force it if it makes someone uncomfortable. A no is a no. If you say stop, we stop. If you want to try something, we try it. But communication is key when it comes to a good and healthy relationship. Right, Sunflower?"
Adrien hummed in agreement, "Somethings aren't negotiable, like Marc's pronouns, Nathaniel being called "Nath" by only people he's close to, and me only liking intimate touch from my boyfriends and people I know I'm close to, like Nino or Chloe."
Marinette crossed her arms, "Adrien, you know everything they've told you is made up? There's no such thing as being asexual or aromantic. If you're gay, that's fine. But you didn't have to lie to me or the rest of our class-"
"JUST FUCKING GO!" Marinette jumped when Marc yelled again. "TAKE YOUR APHOBIC, UNWANTED, SELF AND GET LOST!!"
Marinette frowned and tried to look at Adrien, but Marc blocked her again.

Marinette glared at Marc, who glared back at her. They were in Principal Damoclès office. Marc had told his parents what she did, and they demanded a meeting with Marinette's parents. And with the way things were going, she wouldn't be able to help Adrien.
God, he already has Nathaniel. Isn't that enough?? He and Nathaniel had each other. They didn't need Adrien. And now he's gone and gotten HER in trouble. All over NOTHING.
Prompt 4: Stay Away From My Sister

"Are you excited, Cori?"
Corinne smiled at her eldest brother as she nodded. It has been half a year since she was last in Paris. Half a year since her father...since Gabriel was arrested. Half a year since she learned Gabriel was Hawkmoth. Half a year since she was thrown under the bus, accused of knowing. Half a year since she ran. Since she cut contact with everyone. Since Selina found her and took her in. Since she found herself. Since she found a new family. Half a year ago her name was Adrien Agreste. Today, today her name is Corinne Wayne-Kyle.
"I'm also a little bit nervous," she admitted, "what if...what if they still..."
Dick wrapped his arms around her, "it's okay, everything will be okay. We'll be there with you."
Corinne sniffed as she nodded into his chest, Plagg's purrs comforting from where he sat in her shirt pocket. She'll be okay. She won't be alone. She'll be okay.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, and your family, Mr. Wayne." Mayor Bourgeois said as he shook Bruce's hand, "would you mind introducing them?"
Bruce smiled and nodded, "Of course."
He held up Selina's hand, "This, is my wife, Selina. We've been married for a few months now, but we've known each other for years."
"Feels like we've been married all this time." Selina purred. "We just made everything official."
Bruce laughed, "Absolutely. And these are some of our children. Our eldest, Dick, our third eldest Tim, and our second youngest, Corinne."
As much as they wanted to come, Cass, Jason, and Damian agreed to stay in Gotham to keep an eye out alongside Kate, Duke, and Luke. Bruce had agreed they would join him on his next trip to Paris.
Mayor Bourgeois smiled as he shook their hands, pausing at Corinne.
"Do I know you, young lady?" He asked, "you seem very familiar."
Corinne quickly shook her head, "No, sir. We've never met before now."
He nodded, "I must be mistaken. Very well, I hope you enjoy your stay at my hotel. Welcome to Paris!! And, once again, I hope you enjoy your stay."
Bruce thanked him before he ushered his family towards the elevator that would take them to the floor their rooms were in.

"Finally!" Plagg zoomed out of Corinne's bag, "I thought we'd never get outta there. Think they can bring up some camembert?"
"I'll add it to our list," Tim muttered from his bed. He, Dick, and Corinne were sharing a room, while Selina and Bruce shared the other. He and Dick agreed to rotate between sleeping on the actual bed and the couch that turned into a bed. Corinne had tried to tell them she wouldn't mind swapping so they both slept on the bed once in a while, but they refused.
"So," he continued, "here's what we know. Gabriel Agreste used a magical jewel to terrorize Paris and was arrested for his crimes about half a year ago. He had a child who was accused of aiding him," he looked at Corinne who flinched, "despite there being no proof of it. The child disappeared after about two or three weeks. And now Gabriel has broken out of prison, with many believing his child had helped him. People who have spotted Gabriel say he was looking for his child, saying he was doing this for "him". This has lead those people to believing his kid wasn't a part of what he did, and likely went through a lot of emotional and mental abuse. Some even believe that, had he not been arrested, or had he escaped earlier, he would have akumatized his own child."
"He wanted to bring my mother back," Corinne said, "she died making me...using the peacock miraculous. People thought I was acting as Mayura's stand in since she wasn't seen in battle."
Tim and Dick frowned.
"I didn't realize when I first found them... but looking at them again, Plagg knew we had to take them. But I couldn't...I couldn't keep them."
"So you handed it over to someone else."
"My cousin, Felix. He goes by Argos while he uses the peacock miraculous. His father had died recently and I missed the funeral. He...he was upset with me. I thought he wouldn't want to speak with me or take the peacock miraculous and Grimoire."

"Adrien?"
Corinne flinched. She and her brothers were walking around. She should have known coming here was a bad idea. But Sabine and Tom had made some of the best pastries she's ever had.
"Adrien, sweetheart," Sabine said she walked over, "we've missed you."
"Her name is Corinne." Dick said firmly.
Sabine paused before she smiled gently, "Corinne. That's a beautiful name, sweetheart. I'm sorry I assumed what your name was, it's been so long."
"Well, I know now. And I still care about you. Now, what would you like?"
Corinne smiled. Maybe things wouldn't be that bad?

She was wrong. She was very, very, wrong.
"WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?! HER NAME IS CORINNE!! WHY CAN'T YOU ACCEPT THAT?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE HER FRIEND?!"
"My "problem" is that your weird family clearly kidnapped Adrien and messed with his mind!! You made him think he was a girl!! And not only that, you made him think he wouldn't ever want to have sex!! Because you knew the minute he did, people would find out he's really a boy!! You're probably waiting for him to be a legal adult before you continue with your plans by hiring a surgeon to change his body!!"
"DO YOU FUCKING HEAR YOURSELF?!"
"DO YOU?!"
Corinne covered her ears as she let out a sob. Tim and Marinette paused their argument and watched as she ran off. They glared at each other as they both moved to follow her.
"Stay the fuck away from my sister."
"You stay the fuck away from my boyfriend!"
"YOU'RE NOT DATING HER! SHE'S NOT A BOY!!"
"He's just confused. And it's all because of you and your stupid family!!"
Marinette had been surprised when she saw Adrien, he was with the Wayne boys for some reason. Maybe they met somewhere and became friends?
Well, turns out he was adopted by their mother, Selina Kyle. She thought she and Adrien would reconnect. That he'd ask her to return to Gotham with them and introduce her as his girlfriend. But then he said his name was "Karina" or whatever. He said he was a girl. Said he was "asexual" and "aromantic." And that's when she realized. The Waynes brainwashed her Adrien. Her Adrien is a boy. A boy who was eager to have a family with her in the future. Three children. Emma, Hugo, and Luis. A hamster or two. Maybe a dog. No cat. Her Adrien was with them too long. And if she didn't catch up to him soon, he'll still be under their control!!
Adrien thought Marinette would have supported him. That he could tell her, come out to her, and nothing would change.
He wasn't expecting her to be so mad. He wasn't expecting her to yell. To look at him with...disgust.
He thought...
Was he...wrong?
When she finally calmed down, Marinette had sat down with him and told him there was no possible way he was...
How could he be, when he was in love with her? If he was in love with her, he clearly felt romantic attraction. He wasn't bothered by her kissing him or being all over him. Right? He loved her. He wasn't lying to her, was he?
He did love her. He really did.
Maybe...maybe she was right.

Kagami frowned as she watched Marinette steer Adrien away from Max, Markov and a few other kids. She had heard from Max that the group was made up of kids who identified under the aro/ace spectrum. Others were invited as well, to learn about asexuality and aromanticism. She had agreed to checking the group out one day.
But Marinette was steering Adrien away from them after he had shown interest.
The way she held him made her wonder if everything was okay. Maybe she was imagining things, but she swore she saw the start of bruising on Adrien's arms. She swore every time she tried to spend time with Adrien, he had an excuse in order to not to. But all his excuses didn't feel like him. She just had a bad feeling... maybe this is something she has to talk about with Felix.

Marinette glared at the group walking by. She couldn't believe they would try and convince her boyfriend that he was a broken, robotic, being incapable of love. She couldn't believe Adrien had wanted to join their group. It wasn't too surprising, seeing how he told her he was aroace not too long ago.
But she took care of that quickly. And she made sure to remind him. She wasn't hurting him. She was just firm. Reminded him that he loved her. Made sure he knew how much it hurt her when he hesitated to say it.
She knows what's best for him.
And that includes who talks to him.
Kagami was getting suspicious. Too suspicious. She wouldn't stop trying to get Adrien to spend time with her. She has her own Adrien. The fake Adrien. The worse Adrien. Because that's all Felix will ever be. Another Adrien. A fake Adrien. The worse Adrien. She had no business trying to get alone time with HER Adrien.
So, being the good girlfriend she was, she declined all the attempts. It was for Adrien's own good.

It had taken them some time, but Kagami and Felix had managed to get Adrien alone.
They really had to thank Alya and the girls for distracting Marinette enough to pull Adrien away. And they were glad they did. Because what they were seeing was not okay.
Adrien was withdrawn. He wouldn't look at them. His sleeves fully covered his arms.
"Adrien," Kagami finally spoke up, kneeling next to Adrien, "talk to us."
Adrien looked at her before returning his gaze to the floor.
"Please," she continued, "Adrien I know something is wrong. Talk to me. To us!"
Felix moved to sit on the other side of Adrien. He placed his hand on his cousin's knee.
"I know I haven't been the best cousin to you," he said, "but I'm concerned. I don't know what to do to help you. Not really. But Kagami is right. Something is wrong, and we want to help. Please...tell us what's wrong."
The trio sat in silence for what seemed liked ages. Felix never took his hand off his cousin's knee. Kagami only ever took her eyes off her friend to check for Marinette.
The couple thought they would have to leave without an answer, but to their surprise it came out.
Adrien coming out to Marinette. Her response. Her telling him she'd remind him how untrue it was. The way her grip would tighten whenever she asked him if he loved her. How her nails dug into his skin when he showed interest in joining the group Max had told Kagami about. Because even if Marinette was right, he wanted to learn more about what it meant to be ace and aro. He wanted to show his support.
He told them how Marinette told him to give her access to his phone. How she would be the one to answer. How upset she got when he asked who messaged him, or who called. Asked if he didn't trust her.
He told them how Marinette began to force kisses on him when he didn't want them. How he knew he was an awful boyfriend because he was hurting her. How she cried, because he was making her feel like he didn't love her.
But he did love her. He loved her so much.
He's an awful person. He's broken. Useless. God, what kind of boyfriend hates it when his girlfriend makes out with him? What kind of boyfriend hates talking about the future he and his girlfriend will have? What kind of boyfriend gets sick at the idea of starting a family, of doing it with the girl he loves??
The more and more Adrien spoke, the more enraged the couple got.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE BREAKING UP WITH ME?!" Marinette yelled, not caring about the crowd she was attracting. "DID THEY TELL YOU TO DO THIS?!"
Adrien shook his head. "Marinette. I'm not happy-"
"YOU'RE NOT HAPPY?! YOU'RE NOT HAPPY?! WHAT ABOUT ME?! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU LIED TO ME! YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME!! BUT YOU WERE USING ME!!"
"I-"
"YOU'RE A DISGUSTING PIG, ADRIEN AGRESTE!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR FATHER WANTED YOU TO REMEMBER HIM AS A GOOD PERSON!!"
"Marinette!" Tikki whispered, trying to stop Marinette from letting the secret she was holding in come out.
But Marinette wasn't listening. She wanted to hurt Adrien. Wanted him to feel the pain she was feeling.
"What do you mean?"
""What do you mean?" ARE YOU STUPID!! I LIED TO YOU!! I LIED PARIS!!"
"Marinette!!"
"GABRIEL AGRESTE WASN'T A HERO!! HE WAS NEVER A HERO!! HE WAS MONARCH!! HE WAS MONARCH AND I LIED BECAUSE OF YOU!!!"
The crowd began to murmur in surprise. Questioning if what Marinette was saying was true.
"AND YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S BETTER THAN THAT?! YOU'RE NOT HUMAN!! YOU'RE A SENTIMONSTER!! JUST LIKE YOUR STUPID COUSIN AND HIS STUPID GIRLFRIEND!!!"
Marinette panted as she ended her rant. She smiled as her words began to sink into Adrien. This would show him. Show him what deserved for breaking her heart.
Now the secret was out. And everyone will hate him. They'll hate him for being Monarch's son.

"Are you okay, Adrien?"
Adrien looked up. It had been a month since he and Marinette split up. A little more than that since he told Kagami and Felix what was going on. A little more than two since he came out to his ex-girlfriend.
It had been a month since Marinette had revealed her big secret. Since she outted herself as Ladybug. Since Su-Han showed up and removed her status as Ladybug and the Guardian.
Marinette didn't get out unscathed. She didn't lose her memories, like she believed. Su-Han made sure she remembered her crimes.
Nathalie was serving her own sentence, and Felix was working on his community service. Something he was surprised at, since he thought he would get a harsher sentence.
But Marinette revealing the three sentibeings existence brought things into question. They were human. The way they were conceived didn't change that. But they were sentibeings first and foremost. Would normal human laws apply to a being that was made exactly the same way the many sentimonsters Mayura and Shadow Moth made?
New laws were being made to protect sentibeings. While they only knew Adrien, Felix, and Kagami were sentis, Felix having the peacock miraculous would be able to help find other sentis, should they be out there.
But with Marinette no longer being the Guardian or Ladybug, someone had to step up. And Su-Han had handed the ladybug miraculous to Luka.
Luka had taken to the ladybug quickly. He held onto the snake miraculous until it's new holder, Chloe, had shown up.
"I'm...better."
Luka smiled. To say he was shocked to learn about everything was an understatement. He couldn't believe Marinette would do something like this. But when he saw her, when she tried to convince him she did nothing wrong, when she demanded her miraculous back, he knew he had to cut contact with her.
He had turned his attention to Adrien. Let him know he was there for him if he needed anything.
He was there when Adrien finally came out. Told their friends what happened and why his and Marinette's relationship ended. He was there when Adrien joined the aroace kids, gave his hand a reassuring squeeze when it was his turn to share his story. He was there when the statue honoring his father was torn down. He was there when he moved into his aunt's apartment.
Luka had left Paris because he knew who Ladybug and Chat Noir were. Because he was still in love with Marinette.
But returning to Paris? Any love he had for Marinette had withered away at the reveal of her true character. Any respect he has for Ladybug died when he learned she protected Monarch in the name of his son, his son, whom he had hurt far longer than anyone else, who had gotten sick after everything she revealed sunk in. When he became Carmine, he wasn't expecting it to be easy. He expected there to be some people who loved Ladybug enough to forgive her.
But so far? So far everything had gone smoothly. There have been a few bumps. But overall?
Luka shot a subtle glance Adrien's way. The blond wasn't covering his arms anymore. He sat a bit straighter. He was smiling more. The aroace pride flag was folded on his lap, a gift from his friends. When Adrien looked back at him, Luka's smiled widened.
Things were going great. It was about time he truly moved on from Marinette. Moved onto someone more deserving of his love and attention.
And he wouldn't be lying if part of him wanted to rub it into Marinette's face that both her exes had found more happiness with each other than they ever did with her. But he would wait for Adrien to be ready. Until then? Until then, he was happy just spending time with him.

Upon meeting the new student Rook was estatic to learn that they shared a common tongue. Naturally, there were divergences in each other's words, phrases and more, but Adrien was quick to pick up on the differences between the two. To learn something new of this student who didn't posses magic had Rook follow his underclassman around, learning about his habits and how to accomodate for them. Rook talked to Vil about Adrien whenever they met, gushing about the little cat he had grown so fond of.
"You sound really proud of him," Vil chuckled softly.
"Of course!" Rook shouted, continuing his rambled about Adrien.
When she appeared just after winter break, Rook had his worries when Adrien talked about her. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a girl who shared the same class as Adrien in their old world. He didn't seem to know her well at all, yet still claimed that they were friends, albeit very hesitantly and with a scratch behind his neck.
"Do you not like her, Le Chat du Soleil?" Rook asked.
Adrien looked away, fiddling with his ring as a nervous tick, deep in thought before shrugging.
"She's nice, I guess..." He kicked the ground. "I don't know a lot about her... But, ya'know... She's the only thing I really have from my old world..."
Rook nodded, changing the subject and asking about his potionology class, Adrien lit up and began to ramble.

"Another one?" Rook asked.
Vil nodded, rubbing his temples, "this is the fourth time that this has happened, and it's only this week! Last week it was 10. Before that it had been 5."
Rook frowned.
The increase of Pomfiore students getting harrassed had increased significantly. No one could track down who it was, and those that had direct confrontations with the person were too petrafied to even say the name or describe them. From what Rook had been told, this person was intimidating the students for simply talking to Adrien and forcing them into silence and never talking to him again.
Rook had seen a few confessions from the love-struck boys of Night Raven, confessing to the young ex-model only to be politley turned down. Adrien seemed flattered by these confessions, but he never accepted them, instead offering the olive branch of friendship to them.
He didn't seem interested in romance, never talking about having someone on his mind, and always talking about the small group of frist years he's become close to. No one in Night Raven seemed to hold a grudge against these students, there was nothing in common with any of them.
Looking closer at the notes and letters, Rook frowned, he had his suspicions. He knew in his gut that it could only be one person. The stupidly lovesick look in their eyes and the anger that permiated around them when things didn't go there way.
Only two months in, and they were causing problems.
"Fear not, Roi du Poison," Rook gave his housewarden his ever charming smile. "I will take care of this."

Rook took to following Marinette around when he could. Something itched in the back of his mind, he had sensed the same thing years ago. Primal rage and protectiveness that seemed to be so deep-seeded into someone. He had experienced that before, Rook had found himself being obssesive and curious by nature, only to be focused on people that he found endlessly interesting.
Marinette was not interesting.
Not in the way Rook liked.
She followed Adrien around, mumbling under her breath about protecting him. He finds a detailed schedule of everything Adrien does in a week, then two, then three until it stops at about four years later. Rook takes the book, hiding it away as evidence. There had to be more to her that she was hiding.
Marinette would rant to herself, proclaiming that Adrien would fall for her when they get back home, that they'll get married and have kids. She danced around giggling and blushing, only to turn to silence upon seeing Adrien with anyone that showed any romantic interest.
(He watched as those that were merely friends with Adrien, weren't safe from her wrath either)
"You want me to record her?" Cater asked, looking midly intersted.
"Would that be too much, Monsieur Magicam?" Rook asked, keeping his normal smile.
Cater smiled, a devious grin that very few had seen. "Not at all, I've been meaning to get some dirt on the girl!"
Rook was shocked, and tilted his head. "Oh? What did she do to encure your wrath?"
"She managed to dump garbage onto Deuce," Cater ran his fingers through his hair, "he was already stressed about his grades, and Marinette only made it worse."
"... I've never seen him so upset before..." Rook let Cater mutter to himself.
He simply smiled, "I see. Do you know when, where and what time it happened?"
Cater looked at Rook, before that smile returned to his face.
"Of course, what kind of studet would I be if I didn't keep tabs of my underclassman?"

"Monsieur Doll!" Rook decended from the ceiling of Idia's room, ignoring the dorm leaders horrified shrieks.
Ortho turned around and tilted his head, "hey Rook! How can I help you?"
"I need a small tiny favor on behalf of Le Chat du Soleil," Rook pressed a finger to his lips, his smile growing wider.
The android-doll seemed intersted, a blaze in his eyes and one that clearly looked ready for some retribution.
"What do you need me to do?" Ortho ignored his older brother's confused stammers.
Rook's smile grew wider, filling Ortho in on what to do when he was with Adrien or any of their friends.
"Record everything you can, even if it seems mundane."
He needed everything he can on Marinette and her actions against other students.

"Have you had anyone you fancy in the past, Le Chat du Soleil?" Rook asked, it was nearing Valentines day, so he figured he could ask Adrien. (An innocent question on the surface, but Rook had been digging)
Adrien shrugged. "Not really, it's never something I gave attention to."
"Ah, I understand what you mean." Rook nodded.
His underclassman looked interested, "really?"
"Yes, yes! I've found that I love, Roi du Poison. He is my everything and I wish to be by his side for all of eternity." Rook swooned, he smiled as Adrien laughed a little.
"Why don't you tell him?"
"Not possible," Rook shook his head, "as beautiful as he is, for my love to be reciprocated would bring my feelings for him to be nonexistant. It would distress me greatly for something like that to happen."
Adrien stopped walking, causing Rook to look back at the younger boy.
"Le Chat du Soleil?" Rook asked.
"So," Adrien thought about his next words carefully. (Rook could see the familiar figure of Marinette just a few spaces away from them (she could hear them)) "What if you've... Never felt romantic feelings before? Like, ever? Would that be okay?"
His voice grew quieter as he dragged it out, shoulders hunching in on themselves making Adrien look smaller than he was. Eyes drawn to everything but Rook and clearly uncomfortable. As if saying that would manifest into something terrible to come, that he would be rejected and scrutinized.
Rook had felt the same for so long before, how he felt wrong for feeling so strongly about someone only to be disintrested in them when they confessed to him. He was seen as a coward, a fraud and most hurtful of all: a monster. Leading someone on only to reject them. Rook moved forward, careful as he gently placed his hands on Adrien's shoulders.
He looked up, eyes wide and mouth pulled into a straight line.
"That is completely fine," Rook smiled, "you are not less of a person for not loving someone like that. It is normal to feel that way, it is something to be proud of."
Adrien's eyes filled with tears, he held back a sob, quickly pulling Rook into a hug. He returned it, looking over at Marinette.
She stumbled back, looking shocked that Rook had seen her.
He frowned, gently combing his fingers through Adrien's hair, not breaking eye contact until Marinette hurried off, face flush and a grimace on her face.

Vil was furious.
Epel had taken Adrien to his dorm room just as Vil had returned from a photoshoot. The young boy looked shaken up, horrified as he held Grim tightly and Epel ushered him into the dorm, both whispering words of comfort. Not even ten mintues pass before Deuce, Ace, Jack, Ortho and Sebek barge into Pomfiore, carrying multiple blankets, pillows and snacks, and making a b-line towards Epel's room.
Vil pressed his ear against the door.
"... I-I explained I didn't like her... Door was blocked... Te-terrified and I couldn't breathe..."
He moved away, already knowing what had happened. The pieces had been there since she arrived, her blushing and stuttering around him. How multiple students who were close to Adrien had started to get harmed, physically and emotionally. He didn't do anything, Vil clenched his fists heading off to talk to Crowley.
Rook passed him.
"Huh- Rook!" Vil called after.
The hunter ignored him, heading towards Epel's room.
"Rook!" Vil shouted, hurrying over as his vice-warden gave a firm three knocks on the door.
"What are you-"
Ortho opened the door, stepping out and closing it behind him.
Rook smiled, "I apologize for the intrusion, Monsieur Doll. I believe you have something for me?"
"Yup!" Ortho pulled a small flashdrive from his wrist, handing it to Rook. "I edited it and made sure to capture everything that happened, and even made sure to highlight certain parts."
"Wonderful! Thank you greatly, Monsieur Doll." Rook patted Ortho on the shoulder.
The young android-doll grinned before stepping back into the room.
Vil watched as Rook's smille fell, a look he's only seen very few times.
"How long have you been-"
"Months." Rook answered.
Vil kept pace with his vice-warden, not daring to question, because he knew Rook was dedicated to those he was close with. He had seen how Rook smiled, teased and helped Adrien in adjusting to Twisted Wonderland and Night Raven College. The smile on his face was wide, full of affection for the younger student, and one of deep-seeded primal protection.
They had heard from Adrien about his life before, the casual and dissmissive nature of his father and friends. How he seemed to slowly realize who Marinette truly was as she followed him around and proclaimed acts of protection he didn't need. Her distrust of the school and those close to Adrien leeked into his mind, looking over his shoulder and tensing up when she was around.
Everyone had seen the bags under Adrien's eyes slowly grow, the whining from Grim about her behavior, the loud proclomations from Sebek during lunch. How Epel would casually tell Vil and Rook that he saw Marinette setting up something to get back at another student, she was causing problems and ruining everyone's time at school. Destruction of property, harrassing and threats of violence.
Crowley looked over the evidence, Vil should have been shocked at the amount, but Rook had been careful in his plans. He was always a step ahead of those around him, promising protection and security.
Vil scrunched up his nose at some of the stuff, reminded of the few fans of his that had become so obsessed that legal action had to be taken. The rest of the housewardens and their vices showed up, giving testimony of Marinette's behvaiour.
"She gave Ruggie food poisoning and destroyed Jack's cactai," Leon mentioned, trying to be dissmissive. (his tail lashed back and forth)
"She had ruined part of Heartslabyul's gardens," Riddle growled showing photos of burned and marred hedges.
"She was badgering our patrons and causing scenes weekly," Azul hissed when Jade provided several videos.
"She tried to dump water on Ortho," Idia tugged on his jacket strings when Ortho's videos played.
"She's constantly monitering everyone close to Adrien," Malleus said, a strain in his voice.
List after complaint after accusation.
Crowley's face had been passive, uninterested in the beginning, but Vil watched as his face knitted into that of confusion, discomfort and finally horror.
"Earlier today," Rook began once everyone had said their pieces. "Adrien had been getting ready to go out with Deuce, Ace, Grim, Epel, Jack, Ortho and Sebek. They were going to spend Valentine's day together as a group, he had been excited of this news, wanting to spend the day with his friends."
Vil watched as Rook took his hat off, face solem, hiding the anger he felt.
"Marinette had been insiting that she come along, wanting to "protect" him from the others. She accused the others of manipulating Adrien, saying that the only reason he can't love some is because they've changed him for the worse." His words were careful, calculated and dripping with a hatred Vil was sure he was holding back.
"She trapped him in his room, cornering him, crying and trying to manipulate Adrien into believing her. Breaking his walls down to move in, Grim burned the door down and the two left where he met with Epel. Currently Adrien, Grim, Ace, Deuce, Jack, Sebek, Epel, and Ortho are there. Marinette is likely wandering around campus looking for Adrien."

Vil and Rook insited on finding Marinette and bringing her to the Headmage's office. It was hard to find her at first, she was hiding and making sure to be hidden from them, already aware of the consequences of what she had done. Vil followed behind Rook, trusting his vice-warden to find the girl, and he did.
She had locked herself into a storage closet, Vil had wanted to go in peacefully, but Rook had already kicked the door in. Marinette pressed herself against the wall, snarling at Rook as she moved forward. (Vil stayed back.)
"What are you planning on doing to me?" Marinette hissed, holding the end of a mop to Rook's chest.
"I'm here to take you to the headmage." Vil watched as Rook gave a slight head tilt, the smile on his voice.
Marinette shoved him back before pressing herself against the wall once more. "Like that'll happen, you don't have anything against me!"
Vil was shocked, her voice sounded so sure of what she said, the confidence that no one could possibly touch her. He wanted to step forward, bark and say she was wrong, but Vil kept to the entrance. They couldn't let her get away.
"Oh~" Rook chuckled, "how naive of you to think so."
Marinette pushed over several tools within the closet as Rook drew forward.
"I have waited for this. I have watched you closely. You think I would just idly stand-by as you torment Le Chat du Soleil? Oh, no, no, no, no."
"You're all dangerous!" Marinette snapped, trying to hit Rook with the mop, only to miss. "You're only using him and manipulating him so he doesn't return home! If you all just stayed away, let me take care of him then we wouldn't be here for so long!"
Vil frowned.
The delusion Marinette was in. He had seen it from many of his fans.
"You don't love him like I do! I'm doing this because Adrien deserves to be happy, and he's only pretending to be happy with you!"
Rook stepped back as Marinette tried to strike him again.
"HE LOVES ME AS WELL! I KNOW IT! ONCE WE'RE BACK WE'LL BE HAPPY AND AWAY FROM YOU FREAKS!"
Rook laughed at that, a whole belly laugh that had him hunch over and hold himself up.
Vil watched as Marinette's face contorted into that of confusion, terror in her eyes. He watched as she realized there was an opening, Marinette threw the mop to the ground, ready to bolt out of the closet.
Rook had always been fast, Vil blinked and the sound of Marinette shouting and struggling had his eyes slowly move to the ground where Rook had restrained her. Vil walked in, grabbing rope from a box.
"Le Chat du Soleil will never love you like that." Rook hissed, his voice dripping with venom,
"I could change that!... He just... ACK... Hasn't found... The right person... I can make him better... He just... Needs some... Convincing!" Marinette struggled under Rook's weight.
Vil saw Rook's face, uninterested and bored. He crouched down, carefully tieing a knot around Marinette's wrists.
"You can not change him," Rook whispered, "he doesn't need changing."
Once Marinette was restrained, Vil stood up and took the lead back to Crowley's office. Marinette didn't stop talking, she was making excuses and trying to play victim.
"Le Chat du Soleil will never love you like that."
"You can not change him, he doesn't need changing."
The words rang through Vil's ears, opening the door and letting Marinette talk herself to her grave.

I hc that Alix is Aroace, thus she doesnt do romance. Marinette doesn’t believe that, so she tries to hook her up with any boy available, because maybe she’s just confuse and love always conquers all. Kagami only tolerated Marinette. Her humiliation at the movie premeire and hearing the racist shit she said, or how Marinette had practically used her to get closer to Adrien. The whole thing made Kagami role her eyes, fussing over a boy, Kagami could never even think of doing something like that. So, when Marinette had called them friends, she simply nodded along as the other girl blabbed on and on about everything that they would do together.
It didn't escape Kagami's notice how Marinette's main focus was still Adrien. (Kagami found herself internally punching the wall)
Kagami watches and follows Marinette around, she didn't have much interest going on in her life, and with an odd satisfaction, Kagami would be delighted to watch Marinette fumble and trip over herself. It was only meant for good fun, Kagami thought it was a silly crush on Adrien that she could entertain. She realized too late just how far Marinette would go to get with Adrien, and Kagami was too seeped into Marinette's plans that she couldn't just turn and run.
She had threatened Felix when he kidnapped her, but his proclomations of love had felt stiff, rehersed and not real. Kagami didn't care, he was merely playing a role, one that Kagami could easily provide him. They held hands and kissed like any couple would, but it felt wrong and Kagami had found herself gagging when she was alone. It wasn't right when she kissed Felix, it made her skin crawl and her mind buzz with warning signals, as if she was in danger.
Kagami was no fool to how Felix felt, seeing how he always flinched away from her touch or how she always hesitated to kiss her. They weren't right for each other, but it made those around them happy.
Marinette squealed, hugging them both and congratulating them, saying how she could take them on double dates now that her and Adrien were together.
"Your together?" Felix asked, shock and horror written on his face.
"Yeah" Marinette smiled, ignoring how Felix grinded his teeth and Kagami scowled.
"You and Felix are dating?" Adrien looked at Kagami shocked, blinking a few times.
"Yes, is that really a shock?" Kagami asked, swallowing the bile in her throat.
Adrien chuckled, adjusting his bag strap, "yeah. I always thought Felix liked guys, but I shouldn't make such assumptions on anyone. I'm happy for you guys though!"
Kagami nodded, waving goodbye as Adrien left fencing practice.
"He said he suspected you like guys." Kagami told Felix watching the night life of Paris.
"... What if I did?" Felix asked.
Kagami shrugged, "I'd still date you so we don't have to deal with our families."
Felix hummed.

"You broke up!?" Marinette shouted, her voice rising in pitch at the end.
Kagami moved away, only for Marinette to continue to invade her space.
"I th-thought you two were going to stay together!"
"I don't like boys," Kagami stated it plainly.
They were adults now, Kagami had moved away from her mother and into an apartment, finding peace that she didn't have to worry about playing a role. It was Felix's idea really, Kagami had figured that they would slowly drift apart, but he had said he wanted to stay friends, and Kagami agreed. They spent years talking about themselves, how they hid in plain sight away from their friends and family, neither could afford to lose the only safety that they had at the time.
"You... Like girls..." Marinette's face twisted into several emotions at once.
(Kagami didn't miss the disgust that breifly shaped Marinette's face)
It was quick as Marinette moved away from Kagami, her body language devensive and scared, as if Marinette was repulsed to be so close to Kagami.
"Do you find me digusting." Less of a question and more of a statement.
Marinette's face controted into that of guilt and fear, she began to wave her hands around.
"No no no no! I don't mind at all, it's just shocking is all! I mean you and Felix always looked so good together and I thought you two would always be together. There's nothing wrong with you liking girls, I mean Rose, Juleka and Zoe like girls. I'm don't find you disgusting, again I'm just so..."
Kagami frowned, watching Marinette trip over herself trying to excuse her rather lakluster, it was almost laughable at how Marinette kept digging the hole she was in. But, Kagami let Marinette talk over and over, repeating herself at nausioum.

They had all met up at Adrien's place to catch up on lost time. The place was huge and the whole class, plus some extra significant others, had shown up. Kagami stayed to the side, watching the group mingle with each other, her eyes wandered and found Felix being gushed over by two men: one with long red hair and the other with shaggy black hair. She rolled her eyes at her ex-boyfriend being flustered and attempting to hide away from their compliments.
Swirling her cup, Kagami hummed only to see a woman with short blonde hair dressed in pink make her way over and stand next to her. She didn't say anything at first, glancing at Kagami before coughing into her fist and nervously smiling.
"Sorry to bother you, I'd figure I'd reintroduce myself—" Kagami turned to her — " I'm Rose Lavillant."
"Kagami Tsurugi."
Silence greeted the two as Kagami went back to people watching. (She noticed Alya and Nino giving Rose a quick thumbs up before returning to talking to Zoe and her girlfriend)
"What do you like to do Kagami?" Rose asked.
Kagami thought about it, there wasn't much she did now that she was out of her mother's control, naturally she found herself gravitating towards things her mother didn't like her doing. She found herself getting into pottery when drawing wasn't enough, and even gardening and cooking.
"I've been attempting at cooking," she said.
"Oh? What do you make?" Rose asked.
"I mostly stick to bento boxes for now, but I've been learning how to grill fish and even marinate pork."
Nothing she said was intersting, yet Rose looked at her and asked more questions, as if everything that Kagami said was more important than anything else. Like she was learning about it for the first time and Kagami was the one who was telling her about it.
"What do you like to do?" Kagami asked.
Rose's face lit up, she talked about getting into crochet and knitting, even saying she wants to start a little online store to sell her creations. Kagami nodded, listening, a small smile growing on her face.

While Kagami wasn't in Paris as often anymore, she kept in touch with Rose. Finding herself texting the other woman often and learning more about her through their conversations. She had a reoccuring illness that kept her from doing much else, how it weighed her down on bad days. Kagami was shocked at Rose's resilliance, but smiled and complimented her about it.
Everything came to quick stand-still when Rose informed Kagami that Marinette and Adrien broke up.
Kagami pretended to be shocked.
(She remembered Felix whispering to her how Adrien had cried about not being able to return Marinette's affections, that he felt broken for not loving her how she loved him. They both consoled him, telling him that he wasn't broken that it was okay to not feel this way.)
A weight from Kagami's chest had been aleviated, several years of Adrien putting Marinette first. She was relieved about the whole thing really, Adrien never had time to figure himself out, so Kagami was greatful he was taking that step.
Me: Send my condolances to Marinette
Rose: I'll let her know! She doesn't seem to be taking it well :(
Weeks past by and Kagami doesn't hear from Rose, she still informes her that she'll be coming to visit in the next few days, asking if they could plan something.
No response, not even a glance at the messages.
Kagami lands and finally hears what happened from an enranged Felix.
"She blames us for Adrien's decision!" He did circles around the couch. "I can't believe her! What made her think that this would last? Not everyone lives out their lives with their High School Sweethearts!"
Kagami hummed in agreement.
"Does she not realize that Adrien likely learned what she did?"
"That's the thing," Felix dragged a hand down his face. "Adrien still doesn't know! No ones told him about her stalking and various other crimes!"
Kagami scowled.
"Worst part? Rose was there comforting her, and Marinette snapped at her, blaming Rose that this was her fault." Felix waved his hands around. "Rose!? I don't know her personally, but that woman has done nothing but be supportive of Marinette and everthing she's done! I can't believe her!"
Kagami huffed, letting Felix rant and rave into the night.
Me: I'm in Paris.
Me: Felix told me what happened with you and Marinette.
Me: How about we meet up for lunch, my treat.
Rose: That sounds nice, what place were you thinking?
They met up the next day, Rose seemed to be in good spirits, though it was clear that mentally she was struggling just a bit. Kagami didn't want to bring it up, talking to Rose about what she's been doing in Japan. How she picked up some items for Rose of her favorite characters. This seemed to brighten Rose up considerablly, and Kagami smiled as the other woman gushed over the pins and little photo cards of her favorite characters.
"What the hell?"
Both looked up, seeing a furious and confused Marinette.
She looked awful. Her hair was down, and and sticking up all over the place, her clothes were wrinkled and looked like she splet in them, but Marinette's eyes were the worst. Bloodshot, clearly from her crying and heavy bags. Kagami stood up from her seat as Marinette marched over to the two of them.
"What are you two doing?" She demanded, trying to keep her voice low.
Patrons of the cafe were glancing over their shoulders, clearly trying not to stare but it was hard to ignore. Kagami placed herself in front of Rose, feeling a sudden urgency to keep Marinette away from her.
"We're hanging out," Kagami stated plainly.
"Hanging out," Marinette scoffed, "sure. That's one way to say your on a date."
Kagami rolled her eyes, "I'm visiting and simply wanted to catch-"
"Sure," Marinette spat. Her voice raised and more patrons were looking on at them. "You just want to make me miserable, is that it? Rub it in my face that I'm lonely and your not?"
"We're just catching up," Kagami reiterated.
She felt Rose take her hand (they were cold), Kagami held her hand back.
"Everything that's happened and you guys can only thing of yourselves!" Marinette had started to yell, staff members mutted to one another, Kagami caught sight of a waiter whispering on the phone.
"Marinette-" Rose had stood up, reaching out to her.
She looked at Rose with disgust, slapping her hand away. "DON'T TOUCH ME! YOU DON'T DESERVE TO LAY A HAND ON ME AFTER YOU LEFT ME! WHAT KIND OF FRIEND LEAVES? YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ME, YOU NEVER DID!"
Kagami pushed Rose behind her, glaring Marinette down. This further angered Marinette, who continued to shout and scream at the two, saying stuff that Kagami didn't care to process. She gave a comforting squeeze, her eyes landed on the police cruiser that parks outside of the cafe.
So, Kagami steps back as does Rose, the police walk in and walk over.
In just three mintues, Kagami watches as Marinette goes from screaming to crying her eyes out. Only, the cop looks annoyed and escorts her out of the cafe, despite Marinette's protests. Another cop begins to ask questions to the staff, some patrons, and finally ended with Kagami and Rose.
Despite everything, Kagami and Rose leave the cafe and head off to Roses apartment, the events were a lot and Rose had asked for them to head over. Kagami agreed, knowing that it likely caused Rose a lot of stress and put her in some amount of pain both physically, mentally and emotionally.
She grabbed a glass of water for Rose and even got a few snacks upon her request. They sat on the couch and watched a few movies, Rose huddled in a blanket and leaning against Kagami.
"Y'know Marinette did have a point," Rose mused quietly, a yawn reaching the end of her sentence.
Kagami hummed.
"Maybe it was a date... Or..."
"You wanted it to be a date? Kagami finished.
Rose nodded burrying her face into the blankets. "It's silly I know! But, I really like you and-"
Kagami wrapped her arm around Rose resting her head against her's.
"Let's take it easy," Kagami whispered.
Rose leaned further into Kagami, a soft laugh leaving her mouth.
"Yeah, that sounds nice."

WOOOO this was fun to write!! I like to think that after Cerise is defeated, Kagami, and a few others, resign as Miraculous holders to focus more on herself and getting out of her Mother's grasp. She lives in Japan and has a job that's flexiable to where she can visit Paris often enough. Kagami always knew she liked girls, but because she was under her mother's watchful eye, she couldn't be herself, hence why she dated Felix for as long as she did.

Juleka is very observant of her classmates, watching them come and go, bleeding into the shadows and never getting involved. Maybe that's a mistake, because she watches Marinette's sharp turn from hating Adrien to being obssessive over him. She watched with discomfort as Marinette pursuaded the other girls into her schemes. Juleka rumunated every night, she was terrible for letting this happen, but to speak up would lose her only friends.
Weeks passed and Juleka had spoken to Luka about what was going on, so he convinced her to slowly distance herself from the group. She knew it was for the best, it was putting her at risk of being an Akuma victim.
Slowly, Juleka found herself in the off company of Kim, Max, Nathaniel and Alix. It was odd, but Juleka was thankful at how they all understood her limits and didn't presure her. (She still gets flustered upon remembering when Kim had her shout that she was confident.)
Despite the distance between her and the other girls growing, Juleka still observed them, seeing how each attempt at getting Adrien's attention failed. (Juleka would never tell them that she saw him blush at guys from other classes.)
She also started to notice the shift in Chloe. Small, barely noticable, but one where Juleka's keen eye had always been drawn to.
Chloe didn't bother Marinette unless the other provoked her, she didn't throw snide remarks at the other students unless she deemed them to be unacceptable actions, Chloe spent more time around Adrien pulling Marinette's focus from the poor girls that interacted with him. Taking the assult of Marinette's schemes instead of the other girls.
Juleka watched, never speaking about Chloe or mentioning the change to anyone. She watched as Chloe would whisper to Sabrina for help, how Chloe would use her money and start a project for Akumatized victims.
She watched and watched as Chloe changed. But it didn't seem to matter to anyone else, Juleka had attempted to cut contact with the rest of the girls, but she somehow kept getting pulled back into their circle no matter how much she tried to leave.
Even so, Juleka tried her best to ignore them, tried her best to not be involved with their problems and schemes. Kim, Max, Nathaniel and Alix proved to be better company, bringing more teenager complaining about school than drama that could lead to Akumatized.
Chloe's change seemed to have ceased after being Akumatized once again. Juleka watched as the girl regressed into old habits, her snark and bite began to get louder and more obvious. (She hears Marinette whisper to Alya that Chloe will never change)
Juleka hates this, so she swallows her fears and insecurities, marching up to Chloe just before the two walk into class and asks if she can help her with modeling. (Chloe's quick to surpess her shock, as if she had been practicing for years)
She scoffs but agrees, in which they exchange numbers. Juleka is quick to follow Chole's demands when it comes to modelling but nothing more, stating firmly that she's not doing anything outside of it. Chole doesn't push, but still puts Juleka through hell when they spend time together.
(Marinette's frantic words of flat encouragment, dismissing Juleka's fears of modeling, pushing her and pushing her until Juleka felt like she couldn't breathe or how her body felt a million miles away.)
But, Juleka can see the passion that Chole has, how she takes into Juleka's sense of fashion, providing colors but keeping the gothic and emo style to it. Juleka reaches out, asking Chole about her other designs, and Chole (reluctantly) shows her.
Juleka is amazed at the variety. Different styles and aesthetics, some clashing together that make it impossible to tell who would even wear such a thing, and yet Juleka flips through the sketch book.
(Marinette's designs come to mind, about how she bragged and shoved into everyone's faces that she was the best designer in all of Paris. Ignoring any critics that dared to try to give advice.)
An outfit with inspirations drawn from Lunar Moths and the Chinese Lion dancers. One that mixes a tradional white suit and a black wedding dress. Colors clash, styles overlayed on top of one another. Inspiration pictures tapped and glued around the pieces.
Chole rambles about how they don't look good, that no one would ever wear such things. Juleka's eyes land on a mostly black Lolita outfit, the front of the dress opened up, the inside of the dress a bright blue with bits if white to resemble the sky, black shorts that went down to about mid-thigh, and black combat boots. The figure carried a parasol that has rabbits and birds hanging from strings on the edges, while the top was that of various flowers.
It clashed and looked like a mess, but there was a certain charm to the design that Juleka felt when looking at it. The outfit called to her, and she smiled.
She was in Chloe's face, pointing at the outfit and asking if she could wear this. Chole's face is read, flushed and embarrassed and she agrees, but states it'll take time to get ready. Juleka beams and says that's okay, and that she wants to take pictures in the outfit when it's done.
Weeks pass and Chloe informs Juleka that she'll be modeling with Adrien, who she made an opposing outfit for. Juleka asks why and Chloe looks baffled saying that she knows she gets nervous when on camera so Adrien can ease her worries during the photoshoot. Juleka nearly breaks into tears as she hugs Chloe tightly.

Luka should have seen this from a mile away, he had been asked by Juleka to accompany her to the photoshoot. He could see the fear in his sister's eyes as she explained Marinette's tendencies when it came to Adrien.
He smiled and joined his sister, sitting to the side, strumming along to the notes of the three in front of him. The melodies worked in harmony with one another, he focused on the intertwining dance of acoustic bass and the thrum of the viola.
Juleka's song sang along to Chloe's, following the rythmn that only he could hear, base and viola were mixing and matching each other's pace.
A screeching halt as the mimic of Adrien's song had Luka standing up abruptly and turning in the direction of Marinette. She glared at the group, her eyes switching between Juleka and Chpoe. Her song became haunting, dangerous, pulling out from behind the tree, Marinette stalked over.
Luka moved towards Juleka, Chloe turned around, glaring at Marinette and quickly meeting her half-way.
He looked at Adrien and Juleka, noticing how Adrien's song picked up and how he clenched his fists. Luka took his sister's hand, easing her shaking just a bit as the bass stuttered and stopped occasionally. Both were keeping their emotions in check, Luka glanced around for Akuma's that could appear.
The volume of Marinette's voice grew as she pointed at Juleka calling her a traitor, scum, and much more. Luka tightened his grip on Juleka's hand, seeing how she surpressed tears and tried to control her breathing.
Marinette continued shouting at them all, mostly Juleka who had started to cry. Eventually the police arrived, escorting Marinette away but nothing more.
Chloe said that they'll try another day.

Juleka was interrogated the next day. Marinette had the girls surrounding her, shoulders shaking and sobbing when Juleka had arrived. She had turned to leave but Myleen was already calling to her and Rose was pulling at her arm.
They asked question after question, Juleka didn't respond finding her throat closing in as memories replayed of yesterday. Marinette had grabbed Juleka by the shoulders demanding, nearly screaming, at what she was thinking. How could she betray her and work with Chloe and how Juleka knew that she liked Adrien.
Juleka looked away from Marinette's tear-stricken face, guilt pooling into her stomach. Mind racing as everything dissappeared around her.
She was a terrible friend.
Were they even friends?
It was an awful decision.
Marinette can't even talk to him.
How could you do this?
A harsh pull to reality as Juleka was pushed toward the back. Marinette shouted at Chloe, who turned and sneered at Marinette.
Chloe had begun to defend herself.
Juleka interrupted, glaring at Marinette and the others for being so blind, how could they be so stuck in their world that they can't see the changes around them.
Alya points out that Chloe hasn't changed, but Juleka refutes, stating anything and everything about Chloe and the changes she made. That they decided to turn a blind eyes to the differences.
The group tried to argue but Juleka refused to listen to them. Months of pent-up anger, disgust, discomfort, and anxiety spilled out.
It was quickly over when Chloe gently placed her hand on Juleka's shoulder, telling the group that there is nothing more to disscuss. Marinette opened her mouth, but Kim's loud precense silenced her as the two sat in the back of the class.
Juleka & Chloe spoke in hushed voices during class, leaning against one another as they made plans on where to do the photoshoot. Juleka smiled as Chloe showed her more of her designs, saying that she'll be stopping at the library to print more pictures.
Juleka decided to join Chloe, linking their pinkies under the table.

Marinette really can't go a day without accusing a girl of liking Adrien and trying to steal him from her, can she?? (Or notice when a guy she likes is very clearly gay) I know Juleka was distancing herself from the girls, but I hope what happened at the end is what sealed things. No going back. If they apologize, sure, maybe she can forgive them. But that doesn't make them friends again. They have to work for that. Also, Chloe x Juleka is really cute <3 -Miraculog
Frightengale Salt Prompt? It always bothered me that Clara picked Marinette just for the vibes (without making an audition like everyone else) and there were better candidates aviable than Marinette and Adrien
Here, Clara doesn't goes running to Marinette and gives her the Lady role, but Marinette signs up for the audition, believing it's going to be a piece of cake, she's always good at anything in the end, so singing and dancing must be as well. Besides, it's Chloe, she's clearly going to do a better work than her.
She fails. Like, horribly. Marinette typical clumsiness gets in the way and she somehow make out with the floor three times.
There were no words to describe what the hell came out of Marinette's throat the moment she tried to sing, a lot of the staff and people in the surrounding had to cover their ears to save themselves from such a torture
Clara feels... Pity, for the girl. But pity didn't get you the lead role. Chloe stays with the Ladybug role
Also, Adrien didn't sign up for the Chat Noir paper because it could compromise his secret identity, besides that he's not qualified for the role. He's mostly there as moral support for his friends, and it's happy that Chloe got the main role.
Juleka is encouraged by her Rose to made an audition and she gets the Chat Noir role.
Marinette trying to sabotage Chloe and getting the Ladybug role is mostly out of pride since Adrien bailed out, but since Clara is a celebrity and they had already had problems with crazy fans, there's a lot of security around and Marinette easily gets caught red-handed. When her classmates confront about why she do that she tries to justify herself telling that she's trying to protect Juleka from Chloe, but in reality they actually make a great team, the video ended up being better than in Canon, with Kitty Section gaining popularity afterwards thanks to Juleka appearing, and they're set off to have more collaborations with her in the future
I like this, the one thing that I'd change is the part about why Adrien isn't Chat Noir.
Because he didn't sign up at all in canon iirc, I'm pretty sure he was just given the part (I can't remember if this was before or after Animaestro, so him voicing Chat Noir in the in show movie could have also been a factor).
It wouldn't even be that big of a change, just have it so Clara and/or her team tell whoever was trying to get Adrien the part without him auditioning that he HAS to audition. They can't pay for him to get the part. Everyone has to audition. And this can be when Adrien gives his input about not wanting to be Chat Noir. Since he's made it clear he won't audition, and because I think Clara and her team wouldn't force someone to audition, he doesn't audition and he stays to support his friends who are auditioning.

I love the idea of not limiting who can audition for each hero gender wise. Like, Juleka as Chat Noir is incredible. And I think it'd be fun if Clara decided to let the two girls have their own hair styled for the MV rather than wear a wig to match the heroes. Creative liberty or whatever.
I feel Marinette trying to sabotage Chloe should definitely have consequences, such as being banned from auditioning for parts in future MVs.
Like, Clara would have let her audition for future MVs if she ever filmed in Paris again, or if Marinette happened to be wherever she was filming (be it she was on vacation with her family or it was a school trip, such as when the akuma class went to NY). But after she tried to sabotage someone who rightfully got the role she also auditioned for, she can't just let that slide. So, ban.
To make it more interesting, it wouldn't be a life ban. But if it happens again once the ban is lifted, then it will become a life ban.
I also think another good outcome from this is a developing friendship between Chloe and Juleka. Do they become best friends? No. But they do end up friends after filming ends.
All in all, I enjoyed this. It was fun. The changes I'd make are very minor imo. But it was still really fun to read.

Gabriel knows he hasn't been a good father to Adrien. He's aware of the cold and callus way he's treated him, but he does love him. So, in his final moments, he wishes for Adrien's happiness.
To Marinette, everything happens in the blink of an eye, and the changes aren't noticeable yet. She and the kwami's are the only ones who remember the original timeline. The kwami's however, have the advantage of knowing the current timeline as well. Unlike Marinette, they adjust to the new reality and have the memories of it.
After destroying the basement, Marinette makes her way toward Adrien and Kagami, mainly Adrien, to tell him that Gabriel was a hero. When she gets there though, she only finds Kagami. When asked where Adrien was, Kagami gave her a confused look. Instead of answering she points out that she has more important things to do, like addressing the situation to Paris. Reluctantly, she leaves to hold a press conference to address everything.
The speech is the same, Gabriel is a hero and the butterfly miraculous is lost but she will never give up recovering it. After she detransforms she gives the ring to plagg so he can give it to chat noir. Plagg is silent through the interaction. He's upset because the person, he's flying back to isn't Adrien. In this timeline he's never met him and he never became his holder.
When the class decide to have a party to celebrate Shadowmoth's defeat, Marinette asks about Adrien. Assuming she meant the situation as a whole, they talk about feeling bad for him but that he luckily has his aunt and cousin. Marinette was confused why they brought them up but brushed it off in favor of asking where Adrien was. She wanted to be a good girlfriend and be there for him. They all look at her for a second before one of them speaks up, "Why would he be here?"
When Marinette makes it home, she starts pacing, wondering what was going on and if this was an akuma. Tikki then reveals that she and her friends had never met Adrien. She explains that in this timeline he never went to her school. She begins to spiral, trying to figure out why Adrien wasn't there. Tikki interrupts her, pointing out the wish Gabriel made.
To Marinette, Adrien's happiness meant spending more time with his friends and going out with her. So, to her, him suddenly being gone doesn't make any sense. She then starts looking up Adrien's instagram to see how he's been doing, fully expecting him to be miserable. Only to find that he's not only very happy with is life but different from the Adrien she knew. His hair was a bit longer with dyed streaks and the clothes he was wearing was very different from what he would usually wear. To top it off, to her horror, Adrien was dating someone.
In this new reality, Gabriel had sent Adrien off to live with Felix and Amelie a year before he became hawkmoth, not wanting him to be in danger. Not being with his father meant he didn't have to model anymore, which gave him more time to be regular teenager and explore who he was. Gabriel was fine with it as long as he didn't endanger himself or cause a PR disaster. Him and Felix have a close relationship since they spend almost every day together. He has a different but still supportive friend group and while exploring what he liked, (a bit of a spoiler for another fic I'm working on) he learned he actually did like fashion. His fashion sense was just a lot different from his father's. He started making his own clothes when he couldn't find what he wanted. One of the first things he's ever made was his Glorp Cat hoodie.
He went to Gotham for a couple of months as an exchange student so he could have a change of scenery. He wanted more inspiration for his designs and to him Gotham was the perfect place. There he came up with more designs like his Stained Glass Set, Crystal Witch set, and obviously his Black Bat Shawl. It's also where he met Damian Wayne. They became friends, bonding over the different ways they express themselves, with Damian through painting and him through fashion. Eventually he had to go back but they kept in contact, frequently texting. At some point they both realized their feelings for each other and started dating.
Adrien does hear about what's happening in Paris with the heroes and hawkmoth and does worry for his father. The only time he visits is with his aunt and Felix on the anniversary of his mother's disappearance. While Felix steals the rings and replaces them, Adrien is completely unaware of his plan. When all three of them are back in London, Felix decided it was time to reveal that they were sentibeings and the rings importance to his life. Adrien is in shock of the reveal but is glad to have Felix and his aunt, so he doesn't feel so alone. When Felix steals the peacock miraculous and hands the rest to Gabriel, he leaves and doesn't return. He doesn't care for the situation he put the heroes in; he got what he wanted. The way he sees it, it was her fault for trusting him anyway. When he got to Paris, it didn't take long to work out who ladybug was, and it only took a couple of days for her to stupidly trust him completely. So, two weeks later when strike back happened, she immediately sought him out to be a holder. The only thing Felix wanted was the peacock miraculous, so that no one could just snap him or his cousin out of existence.
At some point, Adrien starts having dreams of people he's never met and even being one of the heroes of Paris, wielding the cat miraculous. He wants to brush them off as just dreams but because they are so specific with details even, he couldn't make up, he tries to figure out the meaning behind them. He tells Felix about them and together they start investigating them, writing down every detail. They had thought about reaching out to Nino since he seemed like his best friend in the dream, but that idea was abandoned, because what would you even say to someone you technically haven't met. Plus, in his dreams, there was always this weird girl in the background just staring at him, which he learns from Felix is Marinette. In his dreams, he watches as if he was there with them, seeing himself and everyone else. So, he saw when she snuck his phone back into his bag that she had clearly stolen and how she chases off any girl that gets close to him. He easily deduced she was a fangirl, which brought him back to the second reason they couldn't contact Nino.
This girl's best friend was dating him, and they seemed like a package deal. So, if they got in touch with him, he would tell his girlfriend and she would tell Marinette. Though the chances of her having the same type of dreams as Adrien were slim, they still didn't want to risk it since she was a fangirl. Even if she didn't have her memories, it didn't mean she still wouldn't be obsessed with him.
They were stumped until Duusu saw what they were doing and casually said that those must be his memories from his other life. Confused, Duusu then goes onto explain that she has the memories from this timeline and the last, meaning the wish was made and someone rewrote reality. By this point Adrien already knew that Gabriel was Hawkmoth from Felix. Was he disappointed, yes. Surprised, no. But knowing that he could've gotten a hold of the miraculous and made a wish was terrifying. But then, if he did make the wish and he still has his memories, does that mean his wish went wrong, since he's still fighting the heroes. Whatever the reason, Adrien isn't apart of it and has no plans to get involved. For now, Adrien and Felix focus on what they will say to the public if Gabriel is brought down. People will no doubt point fingers at Adrien and question if he was involved.
All that planning however, was for nothing. When he was brought down, Ladybug then went on to say he was a hero. This baffled them, why would ladybug cover for him? Then they remembered who ladybug was and, in the memories, she was a fangirl completely obsessed with him. They thought she wouldn't have her memories of the previous timeline, but seeing cover for Gabriel made them think otherwise. She has nothing to gain covering up for a terrorist, unless she was doing it out of a twisted sense of love for Adrien. Realizing this, they both understood that their plans dramatically shifted. Marinette had all the miraculous at her disposal and from Adrien's memories, they wouldn't put it past her to use them to get Adrien back. Whether she used them to track him down or use hers and the cat miraculous to make a wish, they had to be prepared. Adrien refused to go back to the life he used to live, he loved the one he currently had. Even through the memories he could see he was never happy, just content.
They decided they had to get the justice league involved. It's one thing if she decided to directly come after Adrien, that they might be able to handle on their own. But with the cat miraculous being in her reach, they wouldn't put it past her to simply take it from her partner and make a wish. They're not in Paris to stop her, so, warning more experienced heroes who would know how to handle the situation about ladybug, made the most sense. Once they get in touch with the league and let them handle the situation, that left them preparing for if she decided to come directly for Adrien and the inevitable fall out when it's revealed that Gabriel was shadowmth.
You mentioned being not all that familiar with Pokemon but open to prompts so….
Prompt 1 (Set in the pokemon world): A Pokemon contest (think pet talent shows but they get to fight afterwards, or at least in the anime) is being held in Marinette’s home Miracle Town, and she’s excited to enter with her Ledyba Tikki in the hopes of impressing her crush Adrien, who’s appearing as a guest judge! Despite the stiff competition (consisting of Audrey’s snobbish daughter Chloe, the very icy Ace Battler Kagami, the mysterious masked contestant calling himself “Meowth Noir”, and many others), she’s certain that she’ll win - After all, she was praised by the (in)famous contest champion Audrey Bourgeois and won (a small private) one by former regional pokemon champion Gabriel Agreste! She’s got this in the bag!
…Except she doesn’t - in fact, she loses in the first round, told the moves she had Tikki use didn’t fit the theme and weren’t all that impressive, and encouraged to practice more for the next contest, Needless to say, she takes the advice poorly.
Alternatively: Marinette does somehow make it to the next round/battle portion, only to immediately lose to her opponent because she focused more on making Tikki look stylish than having a battle strategy planned.
(Yes, Adrien is Meowth Noir (name altered to fit the setting). He and Felix swapped places so that he could participate in the contest as Gabriel is constantly monitoring and interfering with his son’s Pokemon journey.)
Prompt 2 (crossover with the Kalos season of the anime since it’s based on France): Ash and friends stop in Paris Miracle Town and meet Adrien and Marinette, and it gets revealed Adrien knows Ash’s travel companion and childhood friend Serena due to both being Pokemon Performers (used for those who have their Pokemon perform and show off for others in things called Pokemon Showcases. Canonically can only be female but we’re ignoring this for the prompt). Despite the friendship being clearly platonic (and Serena obviously having a crush on Ash), Marinette gets Marinette about Adrien daring having a friendship with a girl that isn’t her and tries to sabotage the relationship, which just prompts to sour everyone on her, including Adrien. To try and save face, she challenges Serena to a pokemon battle and immediately gets trounced, as Serena has way more battle experience than she does.
(Alternatively, and reusing prompt one, Marinette and Serena enter a pokemon contest together and Marinette tries to sabotage her, only to get caught and banned for life)
Yeah, never played the games, can barely remember the anime. All I can remember is there was a girl who wanted to be a Ditto Master (which honestly, same), at one point James had tits (he was also in a bikini, iirc), and there was one episode where Ash, Misty, and Brock had to fight a biker gang (and one of the girls was really fucking pretty, I can't remember why but I associate her with the color green and she had a Cloyster or however the fuck you spell it).
And, can I just say, thank you for not making another "Pokemon Trainer/Gym Leader" AU. Because that feels like every Pokemon AU I've seen. Either trainer or gym leader. That's it. A trainer/gym leader and their gym battles and gym badges. And I, personally, only really enjoyed the coordinations and contests. So it's nice to see an AU where one of those is the focus rather than the characters being trainers entering gym battles for gym badges or being a gym leader who's popular/hard to defeat.
I love that Marinette isn't as good as she believes. She won a small contest and rode on that high until someone popped her bubble. I would love if the person who beat her was one of the mentioned contestants/characters: Chloe, Kagami, Meowth Noir (which I fucking love), or Serena.
Also, with her advancing to the next round/battle round, it's with her being dead last. She barely managed to win the spot she got. Maybe she thought she would have an underdog moment, and would win the contest at the end, only to lose to, say, Meowth Noir (who would then go on to lose to, let's say, Serena, who would go on to win the whole thing).
I also like Serena and Adrien knowing each other and how in character Marinette is with her immediately assuming Serena likes Adrien, rather than seeing them as just friends. Because clearly every girl is in love with him. And I like that people just aren't having it.
And again, showing that she just isn’t as good as she thinks. She's battling Serena to save face, but I can see the others seeing the battle as her trying to get back into Adrien's good graces specifically. She doesn't care about Ash or Serena or anyone else. So long as Adrien likes her.
When it comes to combining the prompts, I like the idea of this not being the first time she's tried to sabotage a fellow contestant.
In this AU, I can see her trying to sabotage Kagami with Chloe, but they're caught and disqualified from the contest they were in.
Chloe, eventually, got better and apologized to Kagami, but Marinette still doesn't see what she did wrong. She was given a warning last time, and with her doing it again, this time to Serena, she gets banned from competing for life.
I was lurking in the "Marinette Critique Studio" and I saw someone mentioned Twisted Wonderland and having a character similar to Rook, and it quickly spiraled into a Mlb x Twst so here we go!
Quick note: Night Raven College is an all boys school, but the main character (Yuu) is basically a self-insert and can be *anyone* which means that Yuu being a girl isn't impossible.
Adrien gets transported to NRC just after the events of season 5, unfortunately he doesn't have Plagg with him, but he finds solace and companionship in Grim
After the entrance ceremony, he's put into Ramschackle Dorm, he meets Ace and Deuand Vice and the group quickly hit off and begin friends
I'm gonna skip a bit ahead, to when Marinette is suddenly transported into NRC
At this point, Adrien has befriended nearly everyone in the school. Naturally he has Ace, Duece, Grim, Jack, Epel, Sebek, and Ortho (the first years) as his main group of friends
But he's also friends with Leona, Riddle, Kalim, Vil & Jade. All of them are protective of Adrien, but especially Leona and Vil.
When Marinette arrives, she's stumbling over herself when Adrien runs up shouting that he's happy to see a familiar face around here
She asks what's going on, and Adrien basically gives a run down of how he teleported here, how he's been trying to find a way back home, along with everything that he's been dealing with
Instantly the First Years suspect something with Marinette when they're introduced to her. She's blushing and leaning close to Adrien despite how he flinches away from her
Days pass and Marinette is enrolled into the school, and she's doing terribly
Unlike in her and Adrien's world, NRC is more strict and she can't get away with much. Instead of focusing on her fashion designs and stalking making sure that Adrien is okay, she has to actually do school work about a world she doesn't know or care about
Marinette, like Adrien, doesn't have Tikki with her. She's struggling and no one seems to like her
What's even worse, Adrien is being kept away from her!
Sure she's sharing a dorm with him, but the stupid cat thing is always with him, and that group of friends of his had started to sleepover as well!
She starts to get especially frustrated when another teen with light blond hair with purple tips stops her one day, telling her to stop following Adrien around the school
Marinette, not realizing who this is (why would she bother to remember?), says that he doesn't get to tell her what to do. That she's only protecting Adrien from the rest of them since they're all so dangerous
He stares down at her, disgust, rage and like Marinette didn't even deserve to look in his general way. He states that he has more power over her than she does, because she's just a mere human with no magic. But he doesn't need magic to ruin her, that his influence is far greater than her own
Marinette is getting more and more frustrated, and outright tells Adrien that these new people are bad influences and that he shouldn't be wasting his time getting to know them since they'll just be going back home
Adrien is horrified by what Marinette says, and he tries to counter back, but she keeps pressing and shouting that they're not good people
He refuses to believe that, and Marinette starts crying, saying that it's stressful and how he doesn't understand that she's trying to protect him
Malleus, who was outside, hears this. Concerned for his friend, he patiently waits for Adrien to exit Ramschackle and offers him a place to stay for the night
Adrien declines, but does stay outside with Malleus longer than usual
Word is quick to spread about Marinette and her basically trying to guilt trip Adrien, and no one even bothers to look at her, but if she gets close to Adrien. The Dorm leaders and their closest friends are made aware, and Adrien is quickly whisked away before Marinette can talk to him
I wanna do more, but it would mostly focus on Adrien befriending the Twst cast, and them helping him understand that what he went through is not okay, and that he should be allowed to heal. It wouldn't have much Marinette Salt until she's introduced, so yeah! Here's that :D
Fun fact about me, I played the Twisted Wonderland for a short period of time. I stopped because I'm dedicated to one game and one game only (and like, storage), but I might pick it up again sometime in the future. I liked it. I had fun with it.

I love that Adrien is getting a good friend/support group through this. Especially when Marinette shows up and tries to convince him their bad people.
I feel like he'd eventually point out that she's acting exactly like his father. Gabriel would often tell him their friends were horrible people. Bad influences. And now she's doing that to his new friends??
He understands things are different and scary and difficult, but she's judging them. Judging them like she judged him. He's not asking her to be friends with them, just civil. Polite.
I'm very interested to see what else you do with this.
Marinette Salt X Otome reincarnation AU (in case you aren’t familiar with the trope/genre, the Main Character, after dying, reincarnates as a character in a dating sim (usually the main rival/“villain”, sometimes a side character, and rarely the game protagonist themselves))?
I know of it, not my kinda thing. But I can see this working for Marinette Salt.

1. Origins Rewrite
Marinette is running late, but Fu isn't there to test her. In her rush to get to school in time, Marinette doesn't see the car running the light in time. She ultimately succumbs to her injuries while at the hospital.
However, rather than whatever afterlife she was expecting, she wakes up. She's alive? But she could of sworn... whatever, she needs to go to schooo-?
Maybe she's not dead. But definitely in a coma. Because why is she in FUCKING MEDIEVAL TIMES?!
Salt portion-
• Marinette is one of the few females training to become a knight.
She complains a lot about it, saying she doesn't want to protect some stuck up princess. Her fellow knights in training aren't amused with her.
• Marinette fully expected Chloe to be the Princess. She's not. Adrien is. And if he, yes he, is friends with Chloe, he has to be just as bad as her. Something she makes sure to tell anyone and everyone who will listen.
• Marinette grumbles when she's assigned to be Princess Adrien's personal guard. She doesn't hide her obvious hatred towards the Princess, wanting nothing more than to leave and not take care of him.
• Because she doesn't take her job seriously, Princess Adrien ends up being kidnapped by the infamous pirate, Tigress*.
• When interrogated by King Gabriel, she openly admits to not caring. Tells him everything she's been telling everyone else.
• King Gabriel had thought the rumors were just that, rumors. He thought Lady Marinette would be serious. Even if she disliked his son, she'd take care of her Princess, as it was her duty.
• Marinette is shocked when the King declares she get the death sentence. But he'll be lenient. She'll live, for now. Rotting away in the dungeons until the next new moon. If his son is found and unharmed by that night at the latest, he'll change her death sentence to a banishment. But if he isn't...*
The new moon comes. Princess Adrien hasn't been found. Marinette keeps hoping she'll wake up. She has to.
* Tigress is Juleka. In this AU the Couffaines are pirates. Her capturing Adrien was less for ransom, or threatening the King, and more just to prove she could do it before Luka could (they're competitive, shut up).
* Because she was so careless with Adrien, Gabriel isn't allowing Marinette to partake in the search and rescue. So she's completely relying on others to find and rescue Adrien just so she can live. And, as the prompt says, Adrien wasn't found in time. He's still missing. Which means she's getting the death sentence.
2. Chat Blanc Divergence
Marinette, or rather Ladybug, can only watch as her kitty, her Prince, aims his own cataclysm onto himself. She reaches out as the blast spreads out. Everything goes blindingly white, and she can't help but think 'this is it...this is the end.' As much as she wants to close her eyes, shield her face, she keeps her eyes on him. On Chat Blanc. Chat Noir. Adrien. She's going to die, but she won't tear her gaze off him.
The blinding light eventually fades. She's still in Paris...but Hawkmoth wasn't around. And she couldn't see Chat Blanc. Did...did he manage to remove his akuma on his own?? Did Bunnix do something?? Where were-
"MISS FORTUNE!!"
Ladybug looks up. She...she doesn't know who that is. How did they have the butterfly miraculous?! And who's Miss Fortune??
In other words: Marinette is Miss Fortune, a villain rather than a hero.
Salt Portion-
• In the new reality, Marinette becomes Miss Fortune after Adrien get critically injured. He was placed in a medically induced coma and she swore to do anything to get him back.
• Marinette, upon learning this on her yoyo, quickly adopts Miss Fortune's role. She knows who Chat Noir is- except.

Marinette can feel herself unraveling as she dropped her transformation. No, nononono-
• She managed to snag Alya and demand answers. To know what her yoyo couldn't tell her. She tried not to cry when her friend demanded she let her go. Alya didn't know her. Why didn't she know her??
• Still, she needed answers. And after pressing further, Alya finally told her. Said she didn't know what fantasy she was living in, because she wasn't Adrien's girlfriend, but...
Miss Fortune used to be Ladybug.
She and her partner, Kuroneko*, protected Paris from Hawkmoth.
Until Adrien Agreste got hurt.
No one knew she was obsessed with him until she told Hawkmoth he'd have to pry her's and Kuroneko's miraculous from her cold, dead, hands before he beat her to the wish. Once she got her partner's miraculous, she'll wish for Adrien to be healed, and once he was, she'd take him away. Because they belonged together. She went on to say how she'd keep him safe. How she was the only one he needed. How she'll make him love her if it was the last thing she did. How she'd make sure no one got in the way of their happily ever after.
She was insane. Told them to call her Miss Fortune from then on.
No one knew when Hawkmoth gave up his miraculous, but Kuroneko got a brand new partner, Blazing Star*. The new holder of the butterfly miraculous.
Honestly? If Alya ever learns who Miss Fortune is, she'll never forgive her. All this for a boy she doesn't know. All this just so she can claim someone for herself. That's not love. That's obsession.
• Marinette finally lets Alya go. She ignores Tikki as she tells her it's not too late to go back to Ladybug. Maybe she can show everyone she was still the Ladybug they loved-
BUT WHO CARES ABOUT THEM!! HER BEST FRIEND DOESN'T KNOW HER!! HER BOYFRIEND ISN'T HER BOYFRIEND!! ADRIEN ISN'T CHAT NOIR!! ADRIEN NEVER MET MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG HERE!! ADRIEN'S IN A FUCKING COMA!! SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHO KURO-FUCKING-NEKO OR BLAZING-FUCKING-STAR ARE!!!
She can't... she can't just let this go, Tikki. You understand that, right Tikki? Miss Fortune is the only way she can get what belongs to her again, Tikki. Don't you want her to be happy, Tikki?! You do? Then shut up and know your place!!*
* Kuroneko is Kagami. In the new reality Marinette "wakes up" in, things have changed. Like Alya not knowing her and Adrien having been in an accident that led to him needing to be put in a medically induced coma.
In this world, Kagami moved to France earlier. A LOT earlier. She was the one Fu tested instead of Adrien. And up until Ladybug snapped, the two were good friends. When Ladybug turned on her and Paris and became Miss Fortune, their friendship ended.
* Blazing Star is Zoe. Much like Kagami, she also moved to France earlier than in canon. She and Chloe are working on their relationship, so they're not that close.
She wasn't expecting to get a miraculous, less so the butterfly, but if Hawkmoth gave it up...
* While Marinette was willing to go through with Miss Fortune's plans, she was only doing it because she thought everything else was the same. When she learned it wasn't, she broke.
It finally began to really set in. She's not in her Paris. Her friends don't know her. If Alya didn't know her, who knows if the others remembered her or even considered her as a friend. Adrien never became her boyfriend.
And she, ultimately, ends up taking out her anger and frustration on the one being stuck with her: Tikki.
Yelling at her, guilt tripping her, and ordering her to be quiet afterwards is just the start of their relationship turning sour.
It's me again! So, another crazy idea I had inspired in my childhood shows.
Miraculous x Bratz Prompt, with Chloé being Chloe from Bratz because I can totally see it
Also, because I can see the multiple ways the Marinette salt can play in this crossover. Mainly Marinette and Audrey salt, because I need more fashion disaster Marinette in this world

As someone who also watched Bratz growing up, I love this.
Now, this isn't the first time I've experienced ____ as ____ (thanks Gacha Life YT), but it is one of the few that I can see making sense.
As for salt...
• We can have this go two ways:
1. Chloe (Bratz) moved to Paris about a year before the show started. She was still friends with Adrien growing up, they just spent less time together because they lived in different countries. No one aside from him and Felix know she is a part of the Bratz, and she wants to keep it like that.
• she's not as bad as people think, but there is a good amount of bias against her.
• part of the reason why she doesn't want anyone else to know she's a Bratz is because of her mother.
• Chloe talks with her friends at night, they're worried about her, since she told them what's been happening in Paris; moreso since they learned she got akumatized.
• you bet your ass Chloe rants to her girls about Marinette's designs.
"FEATHERS!! SHE USED REAL FUCKING FEATHERS!! ADRIEN'S ALLERGIC TO FEATHERS!!"
"I don't think she even tried!! What was the design? "Dress like your dad?? "I bet she didn't even make them, she just pulled them off the rack!!"
"I have nightmares about that banner...the patterns...the colors..."
• Jasmine, Jade, and Sasha are the ones she turns to when LB kicks her off the team.
• she enters another contest (once again held by GABRIEL), this time showing off her real work. The work of Chloe "Angel" Bourgeois. She won.
• Marinette also entered, and refused to accept Chloe won. She accuses her of cheating and stealing the design.
• Marinette's behavior loses her the runner up spot, and the chance to intern with GABRIEL.
• unlike last time, Audrey shows up during the contest. And she also refuses to acknowledge Chloe's work as her own.
• I kinda want this contest to have an anonymous judging panel. It's a group of well known designers and models and amongst them is at least one of the Bratz.
• when they learn one of the judges knows Chloe on a personal level, Marinette and Audrey insist that that meant Chloe shouldn't have won. She clearly had a biased judge working for her.
• Adrien, who was also part of the anonymous judges panel, told them all the judges signed an agreement that stated they would be fair and unbiased towards the contestants.
Also, he knew Chloe AND Marinette. Does that mean he was biased towards both of them? Why are they only insisting on Chloe cheating because another one of the judges knows her? Shouldn't Marinette also be accused of that because he knows her??
• Marinette gives him the silent treatment for not siding with her afterwards, thinking it'd get him to beg her for forgiveness and give her her rightful first place prize.
All it does is solidify to Adrien that Marinette wasn't someone he wanted to be friends with. Because, seriously? This is how she's taking losing?? Chloe won fair and square. She needs to accept that.
OR
2. Chloe leaves Paris when she was originally going to leave (s2 iirc).
• Rather than staying in New York, she ends up going to California (the Bratz are located there). She's starting somewhere new. Somewhere no one knows Chloe Bourgeois.
• It takes some time before she and the rest of the Bratz become friends.
• The only person she keeps in contact with from her old life is Adrien. As much as she wanted to stay in contact with Sabrina, she knew things wouldn't last. But maybe one day they can reconnect, when she's a better person.
She could have easily cut everyone out, but Adrien always believed in her. And she wanted that belief to stay strong. Also, she just couldn't cut him out. She needed at least one person she knew in her life to be with her.
• Chloe tries to not pay too much attention to Paris, but she can't help but check the Ladyblog or ask Adrien for updates. She eventually tells her new friends about what was happening. About her own akumatizations.
How she wanted nothing more than her mother to acknowledge her, tell her she was exceptional, show that she loved her. How, just through sheer impulse, she decided to hop onto the first flight from New York to California.
How somedays, somedays she wants to go back. Back to Paris. To her old life. To who she was.
But she also doesn't want to leave. To abandon any growth she's had or the friends she's made.
• Chloe does, eventually, return to Paris. However, she's only going back for a short time. She and her friends were invited, as the Bratz, to model alongside Adrien.
They were going to be modeling outfits for an up and coming designer's debut.
• She won't lie, she's terrified when they land. She can't help but wonder what people will think when they see her. Will they immediately assume she was still the same Chloe? Would she end up alone in their hotel room, while her friends modeled with her childhood friend? Would Adrien even show up? He said he would show up, but what if he changed his mind and didn't tell her??
• She only calmed down when she saw her childhood friend waving to her, smile on his face, sunflowers resting in his free arm. Even if she lost everyone else from her old life, at least she still had Adrien. With her old friend and new friends with her, she's sure she'll be fine.
• Remember that feeling of terror from before? It's back. It's back and it's so much worse.
She shouldn't have come back. She shouldn't have left California. She should have known they'd be here.
It was bad enough that Marinette was complaining about Chloe wearing her designs and criticizing them, but then her mother showed up and told her she was fired.
Said someone as unexceptional as her didn't deserve to wear her interns work (because of fucking course "MDC" is Marinette Dupain-Cheng). Her little "friends" could stay, but "Charlie" had to go.
And when her friends defended her? Fired as well. Clearly "Claudia" was spreading how unexceptional she was to her "friends." It would do them better to look for new friends. How about Marinette? She was an up and coming designer. She'd fit in more than..."Chlorine."
• Needless to say, the show was canceled. Not only did the Bratz back down, Adrien did as well.
And Marinette couldn't understand why. All she and Audrey did was ask Chloe to step down. They agreed she wasn't fit for her designs.
Why were they being punished because Chloe decided to be a baby about not getting to model next to Adrien??
• Aside from the show getting canceled, a lot of people stop supporting Audrey and Marinette. Since the Bratz are well known, not only in the fashion industry, but for their music, people quickly learn what happened.
Some are surprised Chloe was Chloe Bourgeois. Some are skeptical of her change, but the majority are happy to see how much she's grown as a person.
Some are surprised to learn Audrey "Style Queen" Bourgeois is not only her mother, but a terrible one. Not once did she call her daughter the right name. Seriously, who calls their child "Chlorine"?
Some are surprised that MDC wanted Chloe fired. That surprise turns to annoyance when Chloe mentions she was modeling alongside her childhood friend, Adrien Agreste (SHE KNOWS ADRIEN AGRESTE?!), whom MDC just so happens to have a crush on (it was so obvious). Nevermind him constantly telling her she's just a friend (because, as she knows, her brother from another mother is very fucking gay but also very fucking closeted).
They just put 2 and 2 together. Clearly, whoever MDC is, she was jealous that Chloe was modeling with Adrien and had her fired. She and Audrey made a bullshit excuse and then she decided to have a tantrum because her debut fashion show got canceled.
It was sad to see MDC rant on and on about Chloe on her socials. But it was also satisfying to see her number of followers go down afterwards.

Queen Banana Salt prompt (Sadly some Nino salt in there too but he gets better): After the titular akuma is defeated and we get “that scene” (*rolls eyes*), Nino film is debuted live and Marinette and co excitedly go straight for the film review sites to see the compliments on their work - unfortunately, instead of a stream of praise and applause however….
“OMG what is with those costumes 🤣🤣🤣”
“Why is everyone dressed in garbage bags?”
“I’m trying to be nice because it’s obviously a student film, but jeez! Who was in charge of the costume department!”
The group is met with a steady stream of criticism and insults from the public audience, getting extremely low scores and one stars; some about the story, others about the acting, and a few obvious trolls did pop up, but a majority of the complaints were launched at the outfits Marinette had made, feeling like they were amateurish and low quality/effort for a movie that was supposed to be showcased to the masses and had been praised by both Gabriel Agreste and the director of the Ladybug movie (needless to say, that caused a few nepotism accusations). Some tried to be fair about it and give advice for future improvements, and there was some praise for the soundtrack and Adrien’s presence, but it was clear that everyone thought that the terrible clothes brought the entire thing down. No one was spared, but Nino and Marinette got the worst of it, especially the former when someone who was a judge for the film contest they did way earlier in the school commented and revealed that his getting first place had been done out of pity as they knew he had used Akuma attack footage for his film since it didn’t match the rest of his film (Alya had uploaded the Horrificator stuff for her blog without realizing that the panel would check), but with it being a minor contest, they didn’t demerit him for it.
Nino ends up running out in tears while Adrien and Alya race after him to give comfort. Eventually, he does recover and uses the revelation to put more effort into his future films (especially the costumes). Yeah, he won’t be the next Steven Spielberg, but he’ll slowly work his way up to making his films more entertaining and visually appealing than they are now.
Marinette on the other hand, was blowing a gasket. People were insulting her costumes left and right, even using stills from the movie to make memes from! Some even found out about her clothing site and have been leaving scathing remarks about her products because of it! Despite advice from Tikki to ignore the more cruel criticisms and use the helpful ones to improve like Nino did (and maybe find a way to filter her customers), she instead makes proxy accounts for the review sites to argue against the criticisms about her costumes and give the film higher ratings. Users, naturally, accused her of being a bot or shill, and she eventually gets her accounts suspended or banned for violating TOS with her spamming comments.
NGL, Anon, I don't see any Nino Salt unless the Salt is the moment he's running away crying. Because honestly that feels like a valid reaction to what happened. If he had done even a bit of what Marinette did, then sure, I'd say there was some Nino Salt and this prompt probably wouldn't have been posted. Probably.
Anyways, I enjoyed reading this. I fully agree that the costumes are awful. Like, if the costumes were just pieces they found in their parents closet or being sold for cheap, I wouldn't say anything. Moreso if they had a limited budget, and thus didn't want to risk ruining something they couldn't replace.
But those were "designed." Thought was apparently put into them. And the thought sucked. Is the thought even in the room? Is the concept of a thought with us??
Also I know one of the judges was lenient towards Nino's first film getting first place, because he used footage from an akuma fight, but that akuma footage was his. Nino was the one who took that footage. I want to know what the thought process towards him using said footage was that resulted in him getting first place out of pity.
Did they check to see who filmed the footage? Does Alya not credit other people who capture photos and videos of the heroes and/or akuma attacks? I dunno, I feel like if Nino used his own footage, it should count as his footage. Not the Ladyblog's.
How about Sublime choosing not to be Marinette's friend and actively avoiding her, but still remaining Adrien's? I think there's a lot of good potential angst where Marinette's obsession with whether or not Sublime will reveal the truth about what really happened to her legs and Sublime's annoyance about her finally blowing over.
I don't know enough about Sublime to make a proper prompt for her, however, some things that'd happen in the scenario where she decides not to be Marinette's friend, but still be friends with Adrien:
• She definitely tells Adrien what happened. Maybe not immediately, but definitely sooner rather than later.
How her legs weren't repaired by the Miraculous Cure. How what happened ruined a great opportunity for her.
• Adrien would definitely be suspicious because her prosthetics should have been fixed by the Miraculous Cure. Things broken prior to someone being akumatized have been fixed before (see Alix's pocket watch and Marc's journal/notebook).
So what happened to make this time different? Did Sublime have to be the one akumatized for her legs to be fixed by the Miraculous Cure?
• If Marinette is worried about Adrien finding out, she's mortified when Chat Noir begins asking LB why her cure didn't fix Sublime's prosthetics.
How does he know they weren't fixed? Did she forget that they weren't? Did she not go see for herself and assumed they were fine? Or did someone tell him? Did Sublime tell someone, and then they told Chat Noir??
• Sublime also definitely tells Adrien what Marinette does isn't okay. How it feels creepy and weird. How it makes her uncomfortable and how she doesn't understand why he doesn't feel the same.
That leads into Adrien rethinking his relationship with Marinette and realizing, yeah... it is weird. It does make him uncomfortable.
And the more he thinks about it, the more he tries to remember what it was that made him fall in love with her, the more he begins to realize that there was nothing.
The moment he said he fell in love with her? Reality was that he felt, well, violated?? He can tell you why he thinks she's nice and can be a good friend. But why he loves her?? Nothing. Or at least, nothing that makes sense anymore.
• It doesn't take long for Adrien to end their relationship. It's messy and both parties end up leaving in tears and with broken friendships.
• I can see Sublime feeling a bit guilty, because she didn't mean for Adrien and Marinette to breakup. But at the same time, she's not going to apologize for helping Adrien see the truth.
• Honestly, bring Heart Fixer in early, but have Tikki have the foresight to remove the earrings. She needs to find a new temp. holder, quickly. And instead of going to Alya or Adrien, she gives the earrings to Sublime.
• Adrien breaking up with Marinette, combined with her being akumatized, makes Marinette double down on not telling Adrien anything, as well as keeping an eye on both him and Sublime.
• For a good chunk of S6, Sublime is Adrien's only friend, because the majority of his old friends either blame him for his and Marinette's relationship failing (in other words, Marinette did nothing wrong and he's a jerk for leading her on) or they want nothing to do with the drama and are staying quiet.
And for that reason, I can easily see Adrien and Sublime becoming a couple. Some of Adrien's old friends get mad that he moved on so fast. They blame Sublime, thinking and claiming she stole Adrien from Marinette.
But the others realize how happy Sublime makes him. How happy they make each other.
And they begin to compare his relationship with her with his relationship with Marinette. Things they notice:
▪︎ Marinette has ditched Adrien during dates, Sublime hasn't.
▪︎ Marinette made a big deal over a stupid kiss, Sublime doesn't.
▪︎ Marinette cried when Adrien didn't show up for movie night, something he very specifically said he was going to do so she could spend time with her girl friends. Sublime appreciates that he wants her to spend time with her friends without him having to be there, and ends up inviting him anyways, because she wants him there. No reason other than that. And when Adrien still insists he doesn't want to go, she doesn't get upset when he doesn't show up.
▪︎ Some of the girls bring up Marinette's pull down calendar with Adrien's schedule and how she knows it for the next 3 years. Sublime doesn't have his schedule, but she knows what's happening during the week because he told her.
▪︎ Marinette stalking Adrien is brought up, Sublime has never stalked him.
Anywhere they're seen together is always planned. Be it they go together or they meet up at the specific location.
• The ones who blamed Adrien and Sublime for Adrienette ending? Apologies are handed out, and they understand why neither Adrien or Sublime want to make quick amends.
• Marinette is definitely the one who takes the new relationship the hardest. At one time, Tikki would have comforted her. But right now? Right now Marinette needs to learn that there was no one to blame but herself.
