This is my Resist the Dark Urge character from Baldur's Gate 3, Vesenia Valentine AKA Vess. I absolutely fell in love with her (seriously, I can’t get her out of my head). So, I put together a little character sheet to share her with you all!

The exciting part? I’ll be bringing her into a D&D campaign, with her story reimagined to fit my DM’s homebrew world. She’s still a Paladin, but my DM and I are cooking up a beautifully tragic backstory for her. I can't wait to see where her journey goes!

While many couples marked Midsummer Night with predictable displays—flowers paraded, poems recited, affections performed for the comfort of onlookers—it was Viscount and Viscountess Ancunentíne who reminded us that true intimacy rarely seeks an audience.

Those expecting a grand appearance from Lord Astarion were disappointed. The Viscount did not promenade, nor did he host. Instead, whispers tell of candlelight burning late in his private office, roses left untouched by servants, and a door closed firmly to all but one.

As for Lady Vess, she was seen entering the Viscount’s study not with jewels or finery, but with a letter in hand.

A love letter.

How telling.

One might assume the Viscount, a man infamous for charm, indulgence, and theatrical flair, would make a spectacle of romance. Yet those closest to the household speak of laughter heard through the halls, of wine poured slowly, and of a devotion worn with confidence rather than display.

Marriage, it seems, has not dulled Lord Astarion’s appetite for drama—only refined his audience.

And Lady Vess? She appears utterly unbothered by the gossip. Secure women rarely are.

Indeed, dear reader, it is my belief that Midsummer Night was not celebrated by the Ancunentínes.

Dearest Gentle Readers, It appears the Viscount and Viscountess of Nocthalis were awoken at a most unholy hour by their exuberant young heir, Astraeus—who, sources say, possesses enough morning cheer to power the entire Underdark for a fortnight.

While the Viscount struggled valiantly against the horrors of early daylight, the Viscountess made a noble request for coffee strong enough to rouse the very gods themselves. Truly, nothing says “family” quite like festive chaos, tousled hair, and suspiciously missing pajamas.

May your own holiday morning be filled with joy, warmth, and only a reasonable amount of chaos.
