I only wished to understand my nature so that I might on occasion, exceed it.

Like how all art attempts to be great by breaking from its traditional form.

I’ve often comforted myself at times when mind, body or heart had been broken by thinking that agony and breaking of bones could be movement for some magnificent purpose- that my life might be viewed-observed- if none other than by me as a work of art.

That joy and suffering, every aspect of living could be a form of self expression.

Within the structure of literature,

of art and meaning that we humans had raised about ourselves like an ark,

a curtain wall to block out the waters of chaos and the world.

That is why we pray, why we build great temples and write great books:

to ask great questions and to live-not by the answers,

for such questions are unanswerable-but by the noble process of seeking those answers, that we might stand tall and struggle on.”
