For the ask thing 11. describe your ideal day and 30. pick one of your favorite quotes
Hiii Scarlett!! Thank you for the ask <3
11) describe your ideal day
It's funny, my ideal day has been Friday post 911 live watch for the past couple of months, so I'm gonna just give an idealized version of that xD
I am not a morning person, so the ideal day starts at 11 ahahah
With a nice brunch, coffee and juice, toasts or a sandwich (bacon and egg my guilty pleasures but as many fillings as I can comfortably stuff in my mouth), yogurt with granola .....
Brunch is had on my tiny balcony, in the company of my tiny plants, and possibly with either a podcast or a dumb youtube video playing lmao
I like to lounge around, maybe write? Have a second coffee and wait until I'm melting to go back inside and work out a little before showering xD
Then a bit of work! I'm lucky enough to have a job I truly enjoy doing, even in my spare time ahah As long as it's not reading articles lmao
I have yet to find some good hiking paths around here, but I do enjoy having a couple of hours of walking around with music or podcasts!
Dinner and a movie, and a perfect day is done ahahah
30) pick one of your favorite quotes
This was SO HARD actually? Struggled a fuckton ahahah
Mostly my own fault, since I rarely write down quotes of any tipe unless it's silly inside jokes I have with friends and family xD
But!! I do remember one book, one chapter in particular. I was a teen when I found it, and I was, to kindly put it, going through a Rough Time. And then I somehow found myself reading this book about the strength of being fragile, the courage it takes to be vulnerable. It was like a "philosophical" text, not a novel, and the author asked, basically, why give up even a single chance to let people feel loved. Why not go for it. Why close yourself up to the possibility of making somebody else happy. And teenage me took that at heart ahah I still struggle a bit with being open with my feelings, and it takes conscious effort to be honest and outspoken about how much I appreciate others. BUT!!! every day it's a little bit easier!
And then, just because I'm a yapper and I haven't given you a proper quote, I'll add "pay it forward". It's what one of my mentors told me when I thanked him for everything he did for me, and he said I owed him nothing. Only asked me to pay it forward.
