Holy shit, fucking drag him
The highlighted portions are good, but I also really like this line:
"People do not go to war for abstract theories of government. They fight for property and privilege and that was what Virginia fought for in the Civil War."
itâs the end of end of times so Iâve decided to be as silly goofy as possible
the blog killing axolotl is one of my favorite things that has ever happened on this website because talking about it afterwards sounds like an inside joke or perhaps a prank. like always be on the lookout for the blog killing axolotl. he can kill your blog. it happened to me once trust me.
thereâs this very specific image of an axolotl plushie with the phrase âi am at my limitâ that iâm not posting for obvious reasons (even though iâm inoculated because i tried to post it before) that if you try to post it tumblr will immediately delete your blog. like completely. your blog is just gone if you try to post the image. you can get it reinstated but you have to go to staff and be like âhi my blog was killed by a picture of an axolotl can you please give me it back.â we found this out completely accidentally when brianna brucespringsteendotcom made the image and then posted it and then her blog was just gone, at which point we started to experiment. anyway, a while later we found that if someone submits the image and you donât know what it is and you try to post it it will also nuke your blog. this obviously all sounds like an incredibly stupid internet hoax so when you try to warn people about the blog killing axolotl you just sound like youâre trolling but i promise you, from the bottom of my heart, that we are not.
people in the tags are like âi donât know if this is true but it sounds wildâ i feel like the old man you meet in the first five minutes of a horror movie that tells the teenagers on spring break not to visit the creepy old house at the end of the road
FAQs:
1. Is this the image of the axolotl plushie with the fire behind it?
NO! that is a different, more well known axolotl image that does not delete your blog.
2. Can I see the image?
for obvious reasons i'm not reblogging it to this post. however, since so many people asked, i put it safely in a google doc for you. go nuts.
3. hey, i remember this! it was over a year ago. does this still delete your blog?
someone in my askbox has informed me, under certain circumstances, yes. and that image is live, so be careful with it.
4. have you figured out what causes it?
same person in my askbox said this
which was my first theory before i went down the source code rabbit hole, although there must be a certain threshold for editing it since in the past people have posted censored versions where it still deletes your blog.
5. can i use it as my icon/can i send it to someone in dms/can i upload it if it's not in a post/can i post an edited version of the picture?
back when this first happened if you did any of the above it deleted your blog, unless it was pretty heavily edited (someone in my discord put him behind bars - you know like he was caged - and i think when we uploaded that it didn't delete the person's blog? i could be wrong though). see the above ask for the most recent information. someone in the notes earlier (don't remember who, sorry) also said that you can upload the original via mobile and it kills your blog, but if you try to post it on desktop it blocks it from being uploaded, so that's also another route you could go if you want to experiment.
6. why have i never heard about this before?
spnblr is more complex and layered than you can possibly imagine it's not my fault you can't see it for the majesty it is.
7. this still sounds fake.
hey man, weird thing to lie about. but the picture and all the information you need to test it out is right here. post it to your blog. go on. prove me wrong. đ
8. didn't people try to remotely delete neil gaiman's blog by submitting that image to him?
we did do that yeah.
Iâm here because a text to speech with subway surfers tiktok stole this post with no credit.
hi. op here. what.
Hi. Original victim of the image here. What
this is an SCP

Thinking about how I would write an adult Scooby-Doo series, because I think it can be done.
The first thing Iâd do is make the characters actually be adults. Still young, but adults, in the mid to late 20s range. Mystery Inc. is a private detective type business that they run together. In this universe, the supernatural/ghosts/etc are real, but not necessarily common, so when they take on a case, the culprit might be a person disguised as a monster, or it might actually be a real ghost. The stakes can be higher; sometimes a bad guy is legitimately trying to kill them. Sometimes the mystery theyâre trying to solve is a murder. Sometimes they actually get hurt on their cases.
Fred: the core of Fredâs character should be that heâs incredibly kind. Like, give a stranger the shirt off his back kind. The âFred canât talk to potential clients because he might take a case for free and we need to eatâ kind. Heâs an honest and good person and sometimes gets himself into trouble because he assumes other people are too. While heâs not very good at reading people or noticing ulterior motives, heâs brilliant when it comes to mechanical or engineering type stuff, so heâs the one who keeps the mystery machine running, builds their gadgets, and of course, designs the traps.
Daphne: she comes from old money, and her parents absolutely despise her life choices, to the point where they havenât officially disowned her, but they have basically cut her off, so she doesnât actually have access to any family money. Growing up wealthy has granted her a variety of skills, including speaking multiple languages, horseback riding, and fencing. Sheâs very into fashion and jewelry (even if she canât afford it anymore) and has extensive knowledge of both that can occasionally provide a vital clue in a case. And even though her parents have cut her off, Daphne still has a wide network of contacts she can ask for favors sometimes, because sheâs personable, and people tend to like her. Daphne is also very emotionally intelligent, and is usually the one who can spot when someone is lying to them.
Side note - I ship Fred and Daphne, so I think I would start them off as an established couple for this universe. Dating, engaged, married, I donât care. They are stupidly in love, ride or die for each other. Thereâs no will they, wonât they, no worries about cheating. They are in a healthy, happy, loving relationship, and no one (not even Daphneâs disapproving parents) are going to mess that up for them.
Velma: she is the forensics nerd who sometimes gets super excited about the wrong thing at the wrong time (âHe was mummified in seconds? Thatâs so cool!â âVelma! His wife is standing right there!â âOh. Sorry.â). Sheâs not purposely insensitive, she just gets laser focused on her work and forgets to filter herself sometimes. Sheâs also the one who can get so fixated on solving whatever mystery theyâre working on, sheâs willing to bend or maybe break laws. Is breaking and entering really so bad? Not if it gets them answers.
Shaggy: he is still the comic relief, but heâs the comic relief by being the only person in the group that actually has common sense. He manages the businessâs finances, heâs the only one who knows how to cook, and the others tease him for being a coward sometimes, but Shaggy maintains that if a ghost with an axe is coming for you, running is the only sensible option. He should also have a range of random knowledge that sounds useless, but sometimes saves the day (ex ventriloquism, origami, the history of spoons, etc).
Scooby: as this is a universe where supernatural creatures exist, Scooby is an ancient eldritch type being that took a shine to Shaggy when he was a kid, and took the form of a talking dog to befriend and hang out with him. Aside from the talking dog bit and not aging, he never uses his powers in a way that anyone notices. The audience is not told upfront that Scooby is an ancient eldritch being; it should slowly be hinted at throughout the series so the audience put it together, but the characters never realize it. Scooby genuinely considers Shaggy to be his best friend, and cares about the rest of the gang too.
what part of this is in any way âadultâ?
Well, I guess that depends on how youâre defining âadultâ. If youâre defining âadultâ to mean sexually explicit, heavy gore, and swearing every other word, or something in that ballparkâŚeh, none of it, by that definition.
I define âadultâ stories simply to be stories that are written for an adult target audience, typically about adults dealing with adult problems. And in this AU, the gang would be dealing with adult problems.
Running a business with friends? That leads into all kinds of potential problems right there, problems that teenagers (with the exception of a rare few) are never going to deal with. If theyâre running short on cash to pay bills and Fred takes on a case pro bono? Boom, we have ourselves an adult conflict.
Or take Fred and Daphneâs relationship as an example; a relationship between two people in their mid-to-late 20s is very different than a relationship between, say, 16 year olds. Fred and Daphne are looking at getting married, and everything that follows that. How do they handle finances after marriage? What about kids? Do they want kids? If they do, when do they want them? How are they, as a married couple, going to deal with Daphneâs estranged family? Those are adult problems!
Thereâs several potential plot lines for Shaggy and Velma; maybe one of them starts dating someone, and has trouble bringing them into the friend group because the gang have known each other for so long itâs hard for a new person not to feel like an outsider. Maybe one of them has a âoh Iâm 27 and havenât been in a serious relationship ever, am I going to be single the rest of my life?â type crisis that some adults have. Those are both adult stories.
And then the cases themselves, and how those are handled. Classic Scooby-Doo never really had anyone die (as far as I can remember) unless it was an elderly relative who died off screen before the episode leaving an inheritance that kicked off the episodeâs plot. This AU would deal with side characters dying; the gang is sometimes investigating murders. People might die during the investigation. While I wouldnât kill any the gang off (because thatâs not fun to me), theyâd definitely get injured on occasion and have to take time to heal. There would be consequences and follow through for events and arcs. While the story would often keep a lighter vibe (because thatâs what I prefer) it would definitely hit heavy topics that classic Scooby-Doo never touched.
Now, I donât think this is a story that teenagers canât relate to and enjoy. I think they could. But it wouldnât be about teenagers, and while theyâre more than welcome to enjoy it, it wouldnât be a story for them. Itâs intended for adults; because adults deserve lighter, fun stories too.
not to pick at loose threads in supernatural canon but like. it just never came up to anyone john winchester interacted with that the wife he was avenging had the maiden name campbell. like never once was anyone like oh you married mary?! dude sheâs legendary. saved my old man from a pair of vetalas back in the day. she was a fucking beast, man â giving that up... damn. but like, I get it. if you can get out, you take it. no one would choose to raise a family in this. anyway, how are those kids she always promised to settle down and have?
she saved asa in â80. dean was born in â79. she called herself retired while still taking cases as she cared for a literal baby because she thought she owed something to the life she gave up. and she told fuck all about any of it to her husband because she didnât want to keep the campbell legacy alive, she wanted it to end with her and for her children to think they lived in a world where angels watched over them and kept them safe from harm. wanted them to have a choice in what they did with their lives even if she could never stop doing what she saw as required of her both as a hunter and a wife. and she wakes up from what was supposed to be endless domestic bliss in heaven to find out theyâre hunters who see her greatest legacy in her death.

They really hate being called 'weird,' huh?
I mean like... I've been called 'weird' my whole life and pretty much immediately started owning it. But I'm also much more the 'makes art from discarded items' weird and less the 'show us your genitals' weird.
They use it like a slur lol
Years ago I casually mentioned that I'm weird to my pro-trump dad and his wife and they got bafflingly offended and insisted that I'm NOT weird.
Being abnormal is the worst thing to those people because they've always wanted it to have a death sentence.
It's kind of funny to see them use it like that because I've been 'weird as a point of pride' for like 30 years. Essentially 'you can't call us that, that's our word for making fun of you!'
Elon actually called it a 'slur' and is trying to prevent people on Twitter from using it. Like... yall want to be oppressed so bad.
I love how benign it is. You can call someone a fascist for years and they don't even blink, bur call them 'weird....' love it.
fascists goal is to become mainstream and normal. In his book The Authoritarians, Bob Altemeyer found that people who scored high on an authoritarian scale would say that they would want to be around the middle of the scale, while medium and low authoritarians would say that they would like to be low on the scale. Altemeyer notes that when asked, high authoritarians tend to rank "being normal" as one of the best things a person can be. This is why when you call them a fascist, they can brush it off like it's nothing, but when you call them weird it hurts so bad. The thing they want the most is to be normal. They want their bigotry, their hatred, their violence to be normal. And it is vital that we do not allow that. They are not normal, they will never be normal and we will make sure that they are not normal. Always push back on their ideas, call them on how weird they are, and organize against them to make sure they stay weird.
Sometimes the rats in my brain come together and start yelling âYEARNINGâ and in trying to appease them I ask âFOR WHATâ but they are too small so all they can say is âYEARNINGâ which is a very big word for such a tiny creature, even collectively
I loved this visual so much I had to doodle it.
