it's really funny that veilguard flopped in large part because it was a roleplaying game with no roleplaying and terrible tumblr writing and a linear story that didn't respect previous titles and no tactical control during combat and makes you sit in a corner and get lectured about gender multiple times, and the CEO of EA was like "Obviously, people hated this game because it didn't have live service and microtransactions." yeah the fans of a single player RPG who barely played the multiplayer for the last game were definitely fiending for EA live service, which has sucked shit every single time you've deployed it anyway.
