It wouldn't take him long to realize that the marriage may have come after he started working on Project Hail Mary (and left his bachelor pad) but I like to think that the initial conclusion sticks with him. If he is aroace (and hasn't fully realized), it's not like he'd suddenly think, "Wait a minute. I'm not attracted to guys."

Rocky asks if he has a mate and things get awkward real fast, because his first instinct is to say no.

He fantasizes a bit, wondering when he would finally remember his wedding. He'd assume it must have been a last minute declaration of love after he bravely volunteered to join the mission. Maybe his memories completely skip over the wedding and he's just suddenly wearing a ring in his recovered memories.

“It’s not nepotism. I had him employed before I signed the paperwork. Him being my spouts has nothing to do with his job title, his job title makes him my spouse. Don’t get it confused”-stratt on 0.1 hours of sleep in two days (the .1 is her blinking really slowly twice)
