Not sure Noivern can learn dragonbreath, but it makes for good lighting. Sketch as well, cause some of the details got a bit lost in the painting.

Possibly my favourite from this series? Wasn’t sure about Togekiss to start, as it is a very simple design, but I like where it ended up. Very inspired by other more birdlike interpretations I’ve seen.

Weird little jet dragons. The latis are my fav legends from gen 3, when I came across Latias for the first time I had no idea what it was. I’m not sure I ever managed to catch it that playthrough..

Not 100% sure about this one, but I had fun with the colours and making something a bit more dynamic

Wasn’t sold on mega dragonite’s design at first, but I think the goofball is growing on me.

Had fun with this one, even though getting the body shape to look right was a bit of a challenge.

Its hard to nail down a favourite. I’ve always been a die hard Charizard stan, but also Mudkip, Treeko, Cyndaquil, Totodile and Rowlet. Special mention for Fuecoco, and while not technically starters, I really bonded with the Espeon and Umbreon from Colosseum.

Took a few tries to get this one right, Dragalge has a lot going on. Happy with how the colours came together

Not sure if I like the softer lineart or the more distinct darker one. Planning to go in (probably with one of the pencil brushes) to define things a bit more over the lines, that would help soften the lines a bit too.
