Okay, about this blog:

OP really doesn't like TR and Loki show, and there are many posts in this blog with an explanation why. So if you are a fan of these two projects, you are not going to enjoy this blog, sorry.

If you come here to bully people for harmless things like shipping "senseless" ships or liking a fictional villain, than you will be blocked.

In this blog you can find posts about OG characters from first two phases, mostly Loki.

OP doesn't like Mobius and Sylvie for being really poor-written and OP doesn't like Wanda because of the lack of character development and growth. Also, OP doesn't like TR Thor. And OP doesn't dislike Odin/Frigga, OP just doesn't see them as heroes or good people.

OP sometimes criticizes the actions of characters OP likes. It's not hate. OP still loves them. OP just tries to analyze these characters and their flaws that make them much more complex.

Sometimes OP overthinks things and OP recommends you not to pay attention to this, OP apologizes for it.

OP's favorite MCU movie is "The Avengers" (2012), and they really like GoTG franchise and pre-TR Thor franchise (and yes I admit that TDW's main villain was a meh). And OP likes AoU.

OP likes both Steve and Tony so OP wouldn't be happy if you started an argument about these two.

OP likes both Loki and Clint and OP won't appreciate if you as a Clint stan start to blame Loki for NYC and mock him.

OP can both criticize and like some stuff.

OP likes both MCU Zemo and Bucky and yes OP admits that Zemo is a villain.

OP doesn't like when people compare Sam and Steve, because they are both great Caps.

OP is weird.

OP's opinion is just an opinion, but when OP talks about canon, OP tries to use facts

OP'S opinion should not affect you since it is just an opinion, don't take it seriously, plz

Also, very important thing: OP discusses IN-UNIVERSE things. When op says "blaming Bucky for killing people sounds like victim blaming" op means "IN UNIVERSE it makes no sense to blame Bucky for it, IN UNIVERSE it would sound like victim blaming".

OP only discusses consistency and logic of the story, not the morality of the creators, OP knows nothing about them.

After rewatching some of the MCU movies I feel I have to point out that Bucky isn't a good friend.

#everyone is always jumping their boundaries and risking their asses to help him for him to go behind their backs or let them be disrespected #imagine living rent free getting protection and being healed from brainwashing by wakanda and then not even notifying them you're breaking-#-their number 1 enemy out of prison #sam risked his ass like two or three times and then went along with the plan he didn't approve of on a moral level and defended him from-#-zemo on every occasion only for bucky to start working on the government and not defending him once even when people were talking trash-#-about him? huh?#or remember when steve bent over backwards rescued his ass almost got killed etc and bucky was like yeah bye dude #don't get me wrong I LOVE his character but I will say that I've noticed that in his personal relationships he is very much failing #he always prioritizes practical goals over people and their trust/feelings and it will keep biting him in the ass #just random thoughts #bucky #bucky barnes

Honestly, most of the things that people take as Loki being evil is just his incredibly terrible luck.

"He got Thor banished" - his plan to prank Thor and delay his coronation went off the rails

"He usurped the throne" - Odin decided to take a nap at the worst possible moment, Loki just happened to be there

"He attacked warriors four and Heimdall" - they betrayed and tried to kill him, he panicked

"He attacked NYC" - he got captured and tortured&brainwashed by one of the biggest threats in the universe, while trying to kill himself

"He got Frigga killed" - he didn't even tell Kurse to go in her direction

Etc.

Like, he just has such a horrible luck.

Unpopular Opinion: I do like the emotional beats for Loki in this alternate version of Odin’s death, but I think the scene we saw in Ragnarok is more true to Odin’s manipulative, unapologetic character. I think the only change that I would have wanted to see in the actual movie is Hela killing Odin and Loki’s reaction to that.

Personally, I find this deleted scene off-putting because sometimes bad parents are just bad and you get no closure, and if they wanted to have Odin’s character grow and develop and acknowledge that the storms within Loki came from him, I think they’d need to put in the work (like, for instance, was done with Yondu, whose apology to Quill came at the end of a whole film of Yondu growing from having to face himself), not just throw it in as a line in the beginning, unearned.

Oddly enough, the character that would have been most likely to evolve his understanding of the negative effect and influence his behavior and the family dynamic had on Loki(’s behavior) is the character they never seemed to consider needed to do that. (Yes, I mean Thor.)

I think the elevator/hangar scene becomes more frustrating for me in the context of this deleted version of Odin’s death because I can just hear the justification, “Well, Loki got his apology–his closure–so he needs to stop wallowing in his victim mentality. Everyone else matured enough to acknowledge their faults. Loki needs to now, and it requires Thor to give him that push.”
