At work pondering the state of medicine and treatments for various things in Shadowrun

its the equal parts changes in cultural/daily life (cyberware and datajacks and matrix access, not even mentioning the whole magical side of things here) and also the question of how treatments look different not just in advacements/availability but how things like the corporations (yeah we made this helpful drug but its only for OUR employees) and even alternative magical treatments would work (or maybe those are more mainstream and integrated ways to treat what ails you?)

They should invent a cry for help that has zero negative effects on anybody and also that makes everyone treat you like a little animal in a cardboard box. But everyone’s cool with it because you’re a cute little animal and not an adult human that needs to get their shit together to stay alive
