You should be starting a recipe book. I don't give a shit if you're only 20-years-old. The modern web is rotting away bit by bit before our very eyes. You have no idea when that indie mom blog is going down or when Pinterest will remove that recipe. Copy it down in a notebook, physically or digitally. Save it somewhere only you can remove it. Trust me, looking for a recipe only to find out it's been wiped off the internet is so fucking sad. I've learned my lesson one too many times.

not using AI genuinely feels like the rest of the world is experiencing some kind of mass amnesia. if someone says they never use it, the immediate response is that can't be true because "everyone" uses it to write their emails or answer their questions. saw a comment suggesting that not using chatgpt to write an essay is "like the 90s". girl I graduated in 2021 and we weren't doing that! how is it that everyone has suddenly forgotten that they were entirely capable of doing these things all by themselves for their entire lives up until the past few years!! am I going crazy!!!

People on all political sides be like "art is meant to inspire emotions in people:) UNLESS that emotion is sexual, then no matter what the art is it becomes NOT art. it's now 'just' porn and it's morally disgusting and you're a bad person for writing/drawing/producing/etc it. How dare you. That's not art, horniness is the ONLY human feeling that's evil and immoral to indulge in with art, it's IMPOSSIBLE, this feeling is always and only disgusting and impure and if you make ANYTHING in this realm we'll judge you as a lesser creator" and when you ask why this one human experience makes the exploration of it in media "no longer art" they only have puritanical/religious excuses phrased in different ways

fuck it. be creative even if you never really *make* anything. write out plot synopses of stories and then move on. design OCs you'll never use. make mood boards and concept art and don't do anything with them. life's too short to forget everything that inspired you and creation doesn't have to be "complete" to be worth the time you put into it.

Hot tip for future parents: you actually have to guide your kid to adulthood. Feeding them and waiting for them to grow up is not enough since they are not house plants. A little more thought and care is required.
