patriarchy and white supremacy are basically just two parts of the same system tbh. there have always been rules about who gets to be considered a real woman who benefits from benevolent sexism and who is considered something Other, excluded from any benefits of the system and freely available to be harmed by it. Black women have experienced that for as long as the US has existed, and now the system is pulling out all the stops to make sure all trans women are excluded as well.

I hope we can build more solitary, and especially watch out for and protect Black trans women around us. it's hard for all of us out here, but we can do do much together, and the more everyone is aware of the systems that harm us, the better!
