Bolas tried to have it all, and in return he lost everything.

Gideon gave everything he had to give, and in return he gained what he wanted most.

In the last episode of “Isaac rambles incoherently for paragraphs” I said I would talk about Aristocrats next. I’m still working procrastinating on that, but in the mean time I wanted to cover an interesting topic brought up by one of our readers @gaias-bones who said; 

“I had an EDH question about the politics of a 4-person pod.  Basically, it makes me really anxious trying to sort out who to attack and target in a 4-person game, and I typically end up turtle-ing and never interacting.  Do you know any good articles on the politics of EDH or something?  It’s driven me away from the format for a bit.  Well, that and I only have a precon deck and no money to really improve it or build a new one, but hopefully that’s temporary”

How in the multiverse did Davriel let himself get caught up in the mess happening on Ravnica? Well, the events of the story Children of the Nameless kind of blew his cover—and, just as feared—soon after, he got several visits from extra-planar entities looking for planeswalkers to recruit for their cause. He also got a very cryptic message…

Suffice it to say that in the end, he decided to show up and do his best to encourage everyone that he was useless. He figured that way, next time everyone decided to go murder one another, they’d neglect to invite him. Unfortunately, he arrived, and everything has basically gone to hell. And, having been there before, he’s not a fan.
