That fucking chair probably chocolate too
Working an office job will truly make you have the wildest enemies, bc why is my nemesis rn a woman Iâve never met and who exclusively haunts me by sending diabolical emails, and also a specific guy who left my company before I even worked here and made the system so fuckass that it ruined procedures for like a year
Yesterday my nemesis (woman Iâve never met and whose face Iâve never seen) sent my office an email so rude, basically saying we had fucked up every project she ever ordered from us, one of the worst emails Iâve ever read in my life.
And it pissed me off so badly that I spent the ENTIRE WORK DAY today compiling evidence from every project my team has ever done for her, pulling past emails sheâd sent us, putting together an entire case proving that she had been the problem all along. That she got projects mixed up, that sheâd made requests that were nonsensical, literally everything you could possibly imagine. Screenshots of emails, reports weâd submitted, EVERYTHING.
This woman in particular has been terrorizing my team for years, her name is almost a slur in my office, I had simply had ENOUGH of her.
I put all of this evidence together and sent it to all of my bosses at 4:30pm. Then I took a long break to eat a sweet treat and drink some tea.
After my break, my bosses all called in an emergency meeting with me and they said they read my report and fucking loved it. And I sat on a teams call with my bossâ boss as she wrote my nemesis the scathing email I had always fantasized about sending, using the evidence Iâd compiled, and hit send.
It was the most satisfying workday Iâve had since I got hired.
The fastest way to accomplish The Project is to cease being afraid of The Project. The Project cannot maim you. The Project cannot kill you. The Project is more afraid of you than you are of it. It is okay if The Project turns out differently from how it was in your head, and it is okay if it has flaws. You are capable of engaging with The Project.
"Claws like sharpened bananas shot toward me."
this sentence is
good
bad
ITS EVOCATIVE! LIKE GREAT BIG HUGE BANANAS EXCEPT SHARP!
YOU DO IT ON ONE OF THESE! OBVIOUSLY!!!
a lot of people are very angry with me over this, but I'd just like you to sit down and imagine a banana. maybe a green one so it's extra firm. if you need it to be harder, you can toss it in the freezer.
and that brown end? the hard bit? pencil sharpener. or sharpened with a blade. are you following me? now, attach six of those to a harpy.
yeah. I think you're seeing the vision. you can apologize to me any time you're ready
check in time:
I see the vision
it's still really bad
GOD DAMN IT!
I hope this comes across as positive/complimentary: I'm reminded of the art teacher who is quoted somewhere on tumblr as saying approximately
I do not like this style. I will never like this style. ... My biggest criticism is that I merely dislike this [art project]. Make me hate it. Make me furious over how much fun you're having with this thing I hate.
You don't need that teacher's advice, though. You're already having so much fun that tumblr is furious.
i have attempted the impossible â making banana Sharp â and i have good news and bad news
As preamble: i am one of the proud 27% who voted âgoodâ on the first poll (didnât see the second in time to vote). And, in fact, I found the imagery of âclaws like sharpened bananasâ so provocative i just had to give sharpening a banana a go (plus i remembered i threw some ripe bananas in the freezer like five months ago and thought hey, might as well! bananas, iâm sorry i failed to use you in smoothies as intended; i hope you find peace knowing you were donated to science instead. Rest In Peels.)
For my first attempt, I decided to take the easiest though least faithful-to-the-vision route first: sharpening the banana stem.
I was delighted to discover that a banana stem does fit into a pencil sharpener, so i got grinding.
And grinding.
And grinding.
Things were looking promising at first, but i rotated that thing in the sharpener for over three minutes and after a certain point, it just stopped getting sharper. I guess it became too narrow for the sharpener to like, reach?
(Pictured: the moment my wife asked me what the fuck i was doing to that banana)
But luckily my wife appeared around this time and, after expressing extreme bemusement, she acquiesced to applying her whittling skills to the task. I bestowed upon her a second frozen banana and she got to work.
What a champ.
AndâŚit actually worked!! That bad boy was SHARP!
Like, not âdraw blood easilyâ sharp. But yeah, if claws looking like this ^ were to shoot towards me, iâd be at least mildly afraid. Thatâs not nothinâ â right? right?
(Iâm so good at photoshop)
But at this point i had to admit to myself the thing iâd known all along. Sharpening solely the stem wasnât actually @pangur-and-grimâs vision.
So i tried, i really tried to sharpen the entire outer part of the banana with a knife sharpener + knife! Maybe itâs because the frozen bananas had thawed too much at this point but. it didnât goâŚall that great
Then it was time for my final attempt.
I peeled one of those half-thawed nanners and shaped its soft body (which was the consistency of melty ice cream) with a combination of the knife sharpener and my bare fingers into what i hoped would be a fine point â once it re-froze.
One of them i âsharpenedâ the tip of; the other i tried to kinda sharpen the side of? By making a very thin ridge all along it. Because if theyâre going to be claws they shouldnât just poke people; they need to slice
Anyway that was an hour ago so i just checked on them andâŚ
tragically, they are not sharp.
BUT i flattened them a little thinner to see if that helps, and now iâll be patient for once in my life and wait to check on them till morning. Maybe being fully frozen will help
So yeah! The good news is you CAN sharpen a banana stem and thatâs gotta count for something. The bad news is that sharpening the actual body of the banana has proven much more challenging.
if i never reblog with an update, itâll mean I failed, no sharp peeled bananas to present. If i do updateâŚ.
Well. Youâll get a photo of a razor-sharp banana.
Itâll totally happen. Totally

Goddamit i hate this fucking post. I hate it because obviously if âtwelveâ followed the same pattern as the other teen numbers it wouldnât be âtwoteenâ it would be âseconteenâ. Think about it. Itâs not âthreeteenâ itâs âthirteenâ as in âthirdâ. Itâs not âfiveteenâ itâs âfifteenâ as in fifth. So with that in mind, you count âfirst, second, third, fourth, fifth,â and so on, so eleven would be âfirsteenâ and twelve would be âsecondteenâ or âseconteenâ. âFirsteen, seconteen, thirteen, fourteen, fifteenâŚ.â It just drives me absolutely mad everytime i see this post that this obvious pattern was overlooked and i cant hold in my rage anymore.
I think this is exactly why thirteen is considered a âbad luckâ number.
Eleven and twelve have special names because as humans we can count to 12 on our fingers. But if we need to count to thirteen weâre outta fingers, bad news.
interesting hypothesis! i have a question,
âmy father is a boy and my mother is a girl so iâm mixedâ is the funniest possible response to someone asking your gender and it came from 6â5 Viking footballer and notable weird little guy Erling Haaland on a Snapchat
comedians can only dream of writing something this funny
Hey tumblr???? Hey fucking tumblr?????
her what
does anyone know whag the rest of it says
Does anyone know what to do
ouch i think i broke my vagina bonesÂ
OH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we can just post whatever we want on this site and no one will question it huh

This is actually so real
5 things your character can't do while speaking
Choke. Just think about it, seriously. Think about what choking is and imagine speaking while itâs happening. That would fuckinâ hurt, man.
Hiss. Look, itâs just not possible, okay? No matter how âevilâ you want your character to seem.
Snarl. Animals snarls. The Beast from Beauty and the Beast snarls. The Hulk snarls. You know who doesnât snarl? PEOPLE WHEN THEYâRE SPEAKING.
Shriek. Come on, 99% of the time, âshriekâ is not the word you want.Letâs face it: if you put an exclamation point at the end of the sentence, your reader gets the picture. Donât bring to mind banshees and screaming toddlers.
Sneer. Iâm not even going to bother explaining this one. âSNEERâ ISNâT EVEN A SOUND.
Choked is not meant to be taken literally, an obstruction in the throat. It means theyâre having difficultly speaking, theyâre forcing the words out with difficulty. Often used when the character is convulsed in tears or laughter.
Hiss is a low, threatening whisper. Raw, guttural, vicious. It is NOT a literal hiss like an animal, it is a tone of voice that serves the same function. Someone will hiss that theyâre going to cut your throat- a message from one person to the other.
Snarl is the same kind of thing. Not literal, itâs a tone of voice that serves the same function. Itâs raw and gutteral like a hiss, but more savage than vicious. Itâs loud, itâs showy, itâs intimidating. Itâs very alpha male, big man, look at how fucking dangerous I am. Iâll take ALL of you on. Even if theyâre snarling at one person in particular, nobody better back them up or theyâre gonna get fucked up too.
Shriek. Come on, seriously? Weâve all heard people shriek either in fear or outrage. High pitched, loud, out of control, feminine. Men can shriek, but itâs funny and emasculating. Think angry italian women throwing pots and pans or ladies on tables who just saw a mouse.
Sneering is contempt whether itâs a facial expression or a tone of voice or both. There are a hundred different ways to sneer with your voice, but it all adds up to the same thing.
How descriptive words work 101
Op radiating cinema sins energy with that list lol
OP tagging this as âreasons they stop reading a book in ch 1â yet not grasping like the most basic form of figurative language is⌠something
how do you reconcile with liking morally imprehensible content and problematic media?
i dont reconcile w anything bc i dont give a shit thanks for sending me this batshit ask tho
There is one very important thing I need people without major dietary restrictions to understand: the distress caused by allergies, celiac disease, and other food restrictions is largely not about the food.
Do I miss some foods I can't eat anymore without getting sick? Sure, but that's not what really bothers me. What bothers me is being excluded from a huge portion of human social life of which food is a crucial component. What bothers me is the stress and social stigma of trying to figure out what I can safely eat. What bothers me is the amount of extra work and cost that is required of me to identify, obtain, and prepare safe foods. What bothers me is people treating my needs like a nuisance, as though I chose to be like this - as though their brief inconvenience to check an ingredients list is unreasonable, when I deal with this every day of my life forever.
I don't miss the food that much. I miss not having to worry about what I eat. I miss freedom. I miss when trying new foods and new restaurants was fun instead of a minefield. I miss not having to plan my entire life around the need for safe foods.
Food is such a basic human need, and a lot of people don't really need to think about it. When your danger foods can be anywhere and everywhere, suddenly your entire life revolves around avoiding them, and it massively sucks. You get used to it and it's not a big deal most of the time, but then you go to a new restaurant, or your office has a potluck, or you've been invited to a party and suddenly it feels just as miserable and exhausting as it ever has.
He WHAT??? Oh 15 stabs were not enough

Bitch I donât even know you. And youâre a deer.
PSA to fan creators who don't have a lot of regular contact with children: They are almost always bigger than you think. A 1-year-old baby may already be walking. A toddler is likely already hip-high. A 10-year-old may already be taller than at least one of their parents. A 14/15 year old may already have reached their adult height.
