he's made me cry twice already, one of them was me full on sobbing.

So, tmi, but grief is a horrible thing and its complicated, its painful and its love and its not pretty. It's more than just being sad, it destorys you and you can even seek out that pain to feel something. That's what happened to me when I lost someone I loved more than anything else in the world and Louis....oh wow. I resonate a lot with his story from what I've seen and there's a moment that he talks about something that happens in the show (specifically on the do not talk about list amc gives out) that broke me.

Jacob plays grief one of the best I've seen and it's one of the strongest parts of the series imo. In every form. Not just about Claudia, either.

I think if you've grieved someone who was your world, who you loved more than you can write or explain, then Louis's story is going to be hard because he feels deeply and he doesn't hide from his grief anymore. I think (and this is just my take from what I've seen) this season is Louis allowing himself to feel Claudia's death for the first time to its fullest extent on him. It's not just the sad part. I think Louis (again from what I've seen, not watched them all yet) is experiencing every ugly, heartbreaking, soul-shattering, violent, angry, multifaceted aspect of grief.

I never cared for Louis in the book either way but every single scene Jacob gives is my favourite.

He is funny, too. He keeps Louis' wicked humour throughout and I love it.

Louis - "Photos are the record of time passing. Outward Evidence." Armand - "They do not lie, but neither do they tell you a thorough story."

Louis - "I took up photography as a hobby." Armand - "Vampires with hobbies. Insanity." Daniel - "Killing time when you weren't killing Parisians." Louis - "Oh, wrestling time to the ground, staring it into submission. Holding it in your hand. 'I was there. This occurred.'" Daniel - "How's that any different from the photos I keep on my phone?" Armand - "It isn't. It's a human perspective of time." Louis - "When you have the ability to stretch a millisecond into an hour, it's a reduction. I hadn't come to that conclusion yet. I liked taking photographs. It took my mind off things."
