The Lady Branwen

GUYS SO I NEED HELP. One of my friends just told me she and her husband are gonna try having a baby again (she has one angel baby) and I want to crochet her a baby blanket in her and her husband's favorite colors with a type of bird written in the middle. Now the colors is an obvious of why but the bird thing they call each other Pigeon and Turtle Dove and have matching tattoos of each person's nickname for the other it's really cute and so I figure it'd be fun to make a blanket for their kid to go off that and keep the bird theme. SO BASICALLY HOW DO I FIND OUT SOMEONE'S FAVORITE COLORS AND BIRDS THEY BOTH LIKE WITHOUT STRAIGHT UP ASKING FOR IT. Also I haven't crocheted in forever i only know a few stitches so any tips on that would be greatly appreciated too.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has somehow managed to get a hair wedged in their phone case after taking it off and putting it back on. To clarify, that hair wasn't attached to me anymore but still.

So this lady that works for our apartment stopped me on my way to taking Dingo back inside and was asking me about him and said her son "thought she was beautiful and wanted to come over and see her but was too scared and didn't know if she was friendly" and I told her Dingo is a boy and friendly (which he actually was really good with her normally he backs away at first when strangers try to pet him until I say it's ok but he didn't care this time) but then she said "then again maybe he was talking about you too, but you have somebody don't you?" And I was still kinda groggy so it didn't register in my brain that she meant romantically instead of just me living with someone so I said "yeah" and she goes "oh well don't tell him he'll be so embarrassed I'll have to break the bad news to him"😭 After she said that and I realized my mistake I felt it would be too awkward to go "nevermind!" So I just said "yeah, sorry". I'm not even looking for a relationship but I feel so bad now I have to meet this kid and wonder if it's the shy guy I see around here and there helping pick up litter and such in the parking lots. I keep wanting to talk to him since he's the only person around my age I've seen but he's so elusive. I have to find that lady again later and just give her my number for him so I can apologize personally lol.
