Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 9: Favorite Fire Type Infernape is my favorite Fire Type because Chimchar was my first Fire starter ever, way back when I first played Pokémon Pearl. I played through the whole game with just Infernape up until I caught Palkia. Even though Infernape was the beginning of a trend for Fire Type starters with its Fire/Fighting typing, I found it to be more useful than Blaziken, the original Fire/Fighting starter, and Emboar. As far as Fire Types go in general, it's always a solid pick, and it's high attack, special attack, and speed make it a monster in battle.
The whole gang’s here.
Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 8: Favorite Starter Type
This one was easy, as those of you who saw my Day 7 post know, because my favorite type in general is Fire, so naturally my favorite starter type follows suit. Out of all six of them though, I’d have to say Chimchar is my favorite, as it was my first Fire starter back when I first played Pokémon Pearl. Charmander comes in a close second though just for being so damn cute.
Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 7: Favorite Type of Pokémon
My favorite type of Pokémon is Fire, even more so than Dragon, as I am a Fire/Dragon trainer. My starter is always a fire type, with the exception of Squirtle for Kanto. My favorite gym leader is Flannery. I was absolutely ecstatic when Reshiram was announced, because I finally had a Dragon/Fire legendary. None of these things are what truly make me a Fire-Type trainer, though. I live it. I’m an Aries with a very passionate heart, and a burning desire for greater achievement. My spiritual elemental is fire. In many ways, I am Fire. That is why Fire-Types are my favorite type of Pokémon.

Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 6: Your first starter Pokémon
Squirtle was my first starter Pokémon back when I got Leafgreen as my first game. I named it Bubbles. Bubbles is still battling today on my Pokémon Black 2, along with Blaze (Infernape), Master (Mewtwo), Mythanot (Palkia), Ambidex (Ambipom), and Electivire. Squirtle was unique for me in the sense that it was the only time I chose a water starter over a fire starter, or anything over a fire starter for that matter. Bubbles will live on, battling until we are the very best, like no one ever was.

These are cute as fuck.
Red, Pikachu, and Charizard, soaring alongside Lugia.
Litleo and Pyroar, a raging fire-type pack.
Felt like drawing some of my fav Pokes! Available as a print on Society6!
Beautiful art!

Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 5: First Pokémon game
My parents didn’t let me play Pokémon until I was like 12 or 13 so by the time I started playing, Leafgreen and Firered had just come out. I remember picking up my copy of Leafgreen, choosing Squirtle as my starter, and playing through half the game the first night I had it. I would go as far to say Leafgreen is my favorite Pokémon game of all time. I’ve completed the original Pokédex on it, as well as trained a dream team.
Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 4: Favorite Pokémon that can’t evolve (no legendaries)
I chose Ditto because come on, you wanted one, I wanted one, everyone wanted one. Ditto’s transform was cool to everybody when they first discovered Pokémon, and despite being difficult to use effectively in battle, Ditto remains a fun novelty Pokémon and remains important for breeding.

Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 3: Favorite Elite Four Member
My favorite Elite Four member is Lance for a few reasons. He’s the original dragon trainer! I remember back in the Red and Blue days, most people didn’t even know what a dragon type was until battling Lance. He was the perfect leader for the Elite Four and an excellent trainer period. I especially enjoyed his involvement in stopping Team Rocket in Johto in Gold and Silver. It was really the first plot element that made the two generations feel connected for me. All of this makes Lance my favorite Elite Four member and one of my favorite trainers period.
Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 2: Favorite Regional Bird
I’d like to start off with an apology for having to play catch up so early on in the game. I’ve been dealing with some bad depression that’s made it hard to do much of anything. However, I’m working through it, and I appreciate the support of my followers!
Anyways, I chose Fletchling because of its final evolution, Talonflame. I’m a fire/dragon type trainer, so having a fire bird to train that wasn’t a legendary in X and Y was really cool. It proved to be a solid member of my team until about halfway through the game, when I switched it out in favor of training a more balanced team. Fletchling is also so fucking cute in the anime, I mean how can you not love this little shit?

Pokémon 40 Day Challenge Day 1: A Pokémon that makes you smile.
I chose Weezing because Weezing is my all-time favorite Pokémon, thus makes me smile quite a lot. People always ask why I love Weezing so much, how could it possibly be my favorite Pokémon? My response? “I’m a stoner, bro.”
I love this system so much. I only recently acquired one but I had been playing the games on my PS2 since childhood. Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Crash Bash, Crash Team Racing, those were my favorite games growing up. They're still some of my favorite games.
