about the long covid rat
hallo! i have many names, but "rat" is fine here. i'm a writer, student, and aspiring academic. i have three rat roommates (of the pet variety).
i am autistic and physically disabled. my most disabling conditions are me/cfs and fibromyalgia, which were triggered/exacerbated by covid. my severity is mild to moderate; i live alone and have low support needs.
the following issues & causes are important to me (nonexhaustive and in no particular order). please learn and support as you are able:
Crips for eSims for Gaza is a collaboration between Jane Shi, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Alice Wong.
2nd principle of disability justice: leadership of those most impacted
covid protections are essential for community
anti medical/psychiatric-industrial complex; therapy is not universally beneficial, nor is it a prerequisite for self-actualization
data privacy is a cornerstone of justice
i believe in the inclusion of those with sensory disabilities, but i am not consistently able to create image descriptions. in such a case, posts will be tagged with #undescribed. please feel free to bring any accessibility issues to my attention.
