- She somehow BROKE out of said prison and currently commandeers a rogue paramilitary faction of Project Hail Mary loyalists who believe in her over world governments, who presumably are still hunting her down

- She currently is on the run and staying mobile on an ice breaker ship like some kind of james bond villain base (but you know, good) while STILL working on project hail mary the whole time

- Her rogue loyalist faction controlled enough resources they could go to space and collect the beetles Grace had sent. Alternatively, it was the world government that collected the beetles, and Stratt had a whole ass heist movie to steal them, which is why she had the little xenonite figure at the end of the movie. Either ways she was running circles around them.

Stratt sends a Beetle back to find Grace named L.I.B, having it lock onto the original Taumoaba, she sends two— one crashes into Adrian but one makes it to Grace on Erid.

Inside are four USB sticks, and one camera. The first holds a note from Stratt to Grace, telling him how Earth is now, what’s changed for the better since the return of the Beetles, what’s changed for the worse. She kept tabs on the students in his class, telling him how they grew up, who they became. Abby became a scientist. A handful became teachers.

She explains that the camera is empty, for Grace to use and send back to them, one of the USB sticks has photos from Earth. The other has digital letters from his students as they grew, and learned about his sacrifice.

The last USB stick has a collection of every piece of media and intellectual property made from when he left up until now.

In the end of the letter she says;

“Don’t just send me a picture of you giving me the middle finger, I won’t be alive to see it.”
