Read Between the Lines

He did a wonderful job, but as he was returning my plant to my custody, he explained "I watered her every other day, I gave her new dirt, moved her into the sunshine, prayed the rosary-"

"What?"

He looked at me, confused. "Isn't she a plant you pray with?"

"No," I said slowly. "She's a prayer plant. That's the... colloquial name of the plant."

Upon seeing his stricken face, I realized something went wrong. Turns out, this entire time, he's been including my plant in on his prayers and leaving her near icons.

Currently watching: just started Rizzoli and Isles as my before bed brain shutdown viewing. not saying that I need them to get together by the end of the show, but im only 3 episodes into season 2 and theyve already pretended to be lovers twice to get out of situations with men

Reading: just finished Sandworm by Andy Greenberg for one of my classes. if you want to have a new fear of technology give this a read....if the world is bad enough as it is then id give it a pass lol

Current obsession: trying (and failing) to learn French

Currently working on: my thesis...endlessly...but my defense is in a week and a half so there is a light at the end of this tunnel....even if I still have two chapters to write before then. if anyone wants to know anything about the invention of FM radio or radar and you need to be put to sleep hit me up
