◾️Ep7 Ending is gonna be like (possibly):
Lila Laying On The Floor (Patty x Lila)
Took me forever to make. I planned for this to be like a 1000 ish word fic but it's unfortunately 1400 words longer so yeah. I think it's kind of mid but still. Anyways, my brain is mashed potatoes.
TW: Minor mention of religion and God, it's not much but still.
Patricia “Patty” Azure was finally done with another terrible day at the police station yet again. It's been a week since she had to deal with the whole demon and priest breaking into the morgue situation and getting done with basic training to join the police. Within that moment she realized something that should have been obvious, being a cop in this town was now (or maybe just always) somehow worse than being a damn forensic pathologist. She had to deal with the strangest calls and had encountered monsters ten times worse than just criminals daily.
Yesterday she saw a vampire (or guy who looked like a vampire at least) eating a squirrel in the woods and her along with Jack and John had to scare it away with pistol fire that it didn't even mind getting shot with (she wished she was joking.). She didn't even know how that happened or why that existed. She wished she didn't know as well. She was happy being ignorant of at least half of the things that decided to go and crawl their way out of some sort of Hell to attack the citizens of Spooky Town in some way.
She was pretty much everywhere now in town when she got this job. She had to go on patrol at least five times a day and she just dealt with strange people, from addicts to robbers and much, much more. And it was completely exhausting, she was tired of being around shitty people all day. They all acted like either her old coworker Mort or some crazy sicko or both. It was as if God himself decided to make Patty's entire life just annoying and filled with horrors beyond a normal person's comprehension. She didn't understand why she had to draw such a short end of a stick. But she didn't really question it either, she stopped doing that since highschool. She already had enough on her plate and endlessly questioning everything like it was a complex philosophical debate would not help her in any way.
Besides, she already had some sort of faith despite not showing it. Not to any God or religion, she didn't believe in those falsehoods. She just had faith that things would change and that she would always come back to her house after work to see her sweet girlfriend Lila and her son Skid, which Patty considered him her son too. She probably wasn't going to have biological kids of her own and even though Skid did cause trouble in her place of employment. She couldn't help but appreciate his whimsy and kindness for the simplest of things like candy or Halloween. It meant a lot more to her then she would ever say to anyone herself.
So when it was time for her to go home she wasted no time to get moving. She went to the vending machine and bought a bottle of fruit punch gatorade and some skittles for three dollars and thirty nine cents all together. She then went out of the police station and said goodbye to John and Jack before opening the Gatorade bottle and taking some sips of it as she unlocked her patrol car door. She then went inside and closed it, putting the bottle of refreshing electrolytes, sugar, some sort of artificial flavors and food coloring in the cup holder with the cap closed before she brought the car back to life with her key and began driving.
“Can't wait to be home,” Patty said with a yawn as she buckled herself in and began to drive, she decided to leave the radio on, just in case anyone needed all the units for backup or anything. Patty hoped that wasn't the case but she was wise enough to expect the worst to happen. She pulled out of the parking lot and drove into the road as she heard crickets and nearly nothing on the radio. “I feel like I can collapse on a couch right now and sleep for hours among hours,”
Her and her girlfriends house was not far away from the station, but it wasn't close either. It was a solid twenty to twenty five minute drive. And Patty had to go and drive when it's almost midnight and no one was around or else she wanted to stay anywhere but home for the rest of the night. Which is something Patty would rather choke on a cactus than ever willingly do.
She took her time driving, no one besides a few cars drove around. Patty couldn't help but feel a little surprised by the fact that she actually had a calm drive where nothing happened. Sure some strange or unfortunate things did happen in the dark, from random homeless people huddling around fires or freezing in the cold with their clothes and cardboard around them, to seeing what Patty swore was Bigfoot or a dinosaur or any other monster that was supposed to be dead or not to be real walking around in the middle of town or in the alleyway. But besides that there was little to no traffic and no one acted like a fool to anyone else. So that's what Patty really wanted, she took sips of gatorade and ate some of her skittles that she had on her lap when there was a stop sign or traffic light. It gave her enough energy to not fall asleep on the stirring wheel but not enough to prevent her from wanting to sleep. And the fact she was eating Skittles and drinking Gatorade along with it did feel like a sugary mess that she didn't like the taste of.
But it was enough to carry her through the whole drive of twists and turns. It wasn't long until she was finally home. She was now driving right near the garage they both had. And she was already done with both the gatorade and skittles as well, making it some win win.
By the end of the drive, she parked her patrol car next to Lila’s SUV. She then turned the car off, opened the door and got out of the car before closing it and locking it so no thieves would break into it. The night sky felt cold but that didn't bother Patty much as she pulled out a house key and walked over to the front door which was a few steps away.
“I'm home,” Patty whispered as she put the key inside the lock and unlocked it. She then walked inside as soon as she opened the door. “I'm finally home,”
The inside of the house was not that different from what it looked like when Patty left for work, the lights were still on in every room besides the bedroom and living room. It may have looked a little cleaner, but the overall area of it was usually anything but dirty. The TV was off and nothing could be heard with the exception of a barely audible sound that sounded like breathing. Patty ignored that as she stood and looked around her.
Patty didn't see Skid or Lila anywhere, it makes sense since they would usually be asleep when she went home after long nights like this. And Patty knew that earlier today Lila had to go their boss and make blueprints from five am to five pm today. That shift was way longer than Patty's and Patty had to drop Skid off to school before she went back home. So Patty knew that she was probably extremely tired and rightfully needed the sleep for tomorrow.
“This place is as peaceful as ever,” Patty muttered, her thoughts becoming slow as she said that. She was so tired, she needed to rest. Whatever energy the skittles and gatorade gave her was now just completely gone and forgotten about. “I might as well get dinner and go to sleep afterwards,”
Patty sighed and walked over to the kitchen and found a microwavable mini pizza while rummaging through the fridge. She cooked it in the microwave for a minute, when that was happening she couldn't help but think about Lila. Lila always thought about Patty in some way, and she went out of her way to get her these pizzas so when it was late and there was little to no good leftovers for nights like these.
It made Patty blush, she has not done enough to deserve this, sure she helped Lila with chores and took care of Skid when she had time but she didn't deserve to be spoiled like this. Maybe it was because of Patty being so independent all the time that it was unthinkable for her to not do everything for herself. Or maybe it was because Lila was perfection itself in a little purple haired human form that Patty wanted to take care of and cherish. Either way Patty took the pizza once it was done and ate it before taking care of the dishes and trash it produced.
Patty then got up and left the kitchen and went in to change her clothes and get ready for bed. It was almost twelve thirty and Patty knew she had to wake up by around eight to ten pm. And plus it was the only thing she wanted to do now, just fall asleep with the love of her life in her arms while covered in blankets and thinking about what the future will hold for her and this little family of sorts she had now.
She went into the bedroom and immediately noticed that the bed was empty before she turned the light on. Lila wasn't anywhere in the room either. It was like she didn't even sleep here at all. Patty raised an eyebrow at that, but then she shook her head and told herself, “She must have passed out on the floor again, oh well, I'll get her out soon. I just need to clean up and get ready for bed first and then I can get her to her actual bed,”
She brushed her teeth and changed into a comfortable pair of blue shorts and a tee shirt the same color as the shorts. It only took her around three to four minutes to get it done. A world record in a way in Patty's mind if she disregarded most of the human population. She pretended it mattered, she thought it would be funny.
It wasn't long until she went over and left the bedroom to go back into the living room. She didn't check the space between the couch and the television yet, simply because she thought Lila or anyone else would be there. Unfortunately she was gravely mistaken, as Lila was there. When she walked into the space she immediately saw Lila in there, wearing gray shorts and that same “look me in the eyes” shirt she always had for some reason. Her mouth was open but not drooling, and her eyes were shut. Her arms and legs were spread across the floor as she slept. Patty couldn't help but smile at that and just stare for a little bit.
Lila was relaxed, calm and probably dreaming of something that made her happy. Her purple hair is a completely beautiful mess, unkempt but cute to Patty. Patty shook her head when she saw it, not knowing whether to chuckle or not say anything. Probably the latter, Patty didn't want to wake Lila up. Lila deserved to be comfortable and not be bothered. Patty looked at her for a couple of extra minutes until she just crouched and began to gently wrap her hands under Lila so she could carry her.
Patty wasn't the strongest person in town but she could carry a woman or man with little effort once she got a good grip. She had done this a million times with Lila when she was both awake and asleep. So she knew the strategy going in, she just lifted Lila up slightly above the ground, making sure not to drop her while doing so. She then slightly rolled Lila so she was against Patty's chest a little bit. And then Patty would fully stand up with Lila in her arms all bridal style before gently walking slowly to their room.
That's what Patty did now, with little effort she managed to pick up Lila and carry her before walking with her in her arms. Lila didn't move and slightly kicked a little bit. But once Patty held her tighter against her the taller woman calmed down and rested her head against Patty's shoulder. Patty smiled and kissed Lila's forehead before continuing to walk. She made sure to turn off all the lights as she walked to the bedroom while making sure Lila didn't bump into anything. They already had enough problems to deal with in this monster, cult and crime infested town. Patty didn't want to add harming her girlfriend by accident to that list.
Eventually, after a few minutes of careful and slow walking. Patty finally brought her sleeping beauty to the bedroom. She immediately went and pulled down the blanket there and rested Lila on it, not knowing or caring about anything else besides making sure Lila was comfortable. She put a pillow under her head and made sure she didn't fall off the floor by accident like she did sometimes. Patty then kissed Lila’s forehead one more time before she yawned, scratched her back and then walked over to the other side of the bed.
Patty felt accomplished when she scooted over and wrapped her arms around Lila. She pressed herself against her girlfriend a little bit before she rested a leg on top of Lila's body. Lila was warm, but not too hot, perfect and comfortable for Patty to hold. Patty didn't put a blanket over her or Lila, she didn't need to. Instead she just closed her eyes, and buried her face against Lila's neck as she spooned her. Patty was finally home, and she was now spending it the way she wanted to. It didn't take long until she drifted off like Lila, her thoughts were ones of relaxation and her body comfortable. Patty went into a full sleep, dreaming for the best, and especially about all the times she saw her girlfriend Lila laying on the floor with pure glee in her heart and Skid running around with his pumpkin costume wearing friend somewhere outside of the house. Just as what domestic life should be.

Night haunters and Frantic Five core. Not sure which one leans note into it. Maybe Frantic Five because they're hated by mainstream college oppressers.
Interesting!
Night Haunters...maybe? It's def more Frantic Five, and absolutely a banger
I'd say Night Haunters are more...idk, Teenagers by MCR? I should find them a theme song lol...
