urge to make my oc dependent on Easterman but unsure if it should be a fatherly way or like romantic but purely of a sexual desire like should he be daddy or daddy
Beverly was the crown jewel of the beehive state, conditioned from birth by a domineering stage mother to value nothing but superficial perfection. When she failed to win Miss America due to a "flaw.â (Coke caused car crash.) She became the perfect clay for Murkoff.
Now completely broken by Dr. Eastermanâs therapy, she treats the Trials as her eternal, televised Miss America pageant.
The Reagents are her "charming audience"
The Dress: A heavily stained, torn, tulle ballgown, originally a pristine pastel pink. The bottom is ragged, soaked in dried blood from chasing Reagents through the trials.
The Sash: A faded, filthy silk sash that reads MISS UTAH 1956. Itâs pinned to her dress with jagged, oversized rusty safety pins.
The Face & Hair: A immaculate, (Aqua Net) 1950s bouffant hairdo that somehow stays perfectly coiffed. Her makeup is aggressively overdone, bright red lipstick smeared past her lips into a permanent, manic grin, and heavy blue eyeshadow tracks mixed with tear stains.
Murkoff "Enhancements": To ensure she never loses her pageant smile, Murkoff has surgically installed chrome cheek-retractors that forcefully pull the corners of her mouth up into a permanent, agonizing grin.
Primary Weapon (The Scepter): She carries a heavy, solid-brass pageant scepter. The star or crown at the top has been sharpened into jagged, razor-sharp points. She swings it like a mace.
Special Ability (Blinding Flash): Hanging around her neck by a heavy leather strap is a vintage 1950s press camera with a massive, high-voltage magnesium flashbulb.
Gameplay Effect: When she spots a Reagent, she raises the camera and yells a voice line, "Look lovely, darling!", âBright smiles, bravo!â A massive explosion of white light flashes. Any player looking in her direction is instantly blinded and disoriented (heavy screen blur and ringing ears) for 4 seconds, allowing her to close the distance.
Voice Lines
While Patrolling:
âShoulders back, stomach in... always walk like you have a book on your head."
"Where is the applause? Dr. Easterman promised me a packed house tonight..."
"Smile, Beverly. Smile until it bleeds. Mother is watching."
Upon Spotting a Reagent:
âOh, look! The judges are here! Let me show you my talent!"
"Stand still, you dreadful little goblin, you're ruining my lighting!"
"A gentleman always stands when a lady enters the room!"
While Chasing / Attacking:
âYou wouldn't even make runner-up!"
âSMILE! WHY WON'T YOU SMILE FOR ME?!"
"Time for the swimsuit competition!"
Trials:
Her trials take place in a warped, Murkoff-constructed television studio and grand ballroom setting, built inside an old warehouse.
The Setting: A labyrinth of backstage dressing rooms, clothing racks, sewing stations, and a massive, blindingly lit runway stage in the center.
Environmental Traps
Blinding Stage Lights: Tripping a wire triggers overhead studio spotlights that lock onto the player, revealing their position to Beverly and temporarily blurring their vision.
The Dressing Room Mirrors: Wall-to-wall two-way mirrors where Ex-Pops can jump out, or where players can see Beverly stalking them from behind the glass.
Main Objective: Reagents have to locate and haul heavy film reels or stage props through a maze of backstage corridors to "broadcast" her winning moment, all while she hunts them down for "ruining her big night."

âA gentleman always stands when a lady enters a room!âÂ
Appearance Height 5'9" (Approx. 6'0" in heels)
Her pageant heels, combined with her rigid, hyper-extended posture, make her tower over most Reagent.
The Face & Hair: An immaculate, (Aqua Net)Â 1950s bouffant hairdo that somehow stays perfectly coiffed.
Weight Approx. 125 lbs
Dangerously underweight. Years of her motherâs strict "pep pill" (amphetamine) diet regimens, followed by Murkoffâs conditioning, have left her thin and physically exhausted beneath her dress.
Body Type/ Build Slender, skeletal, and tense
She possesses an elegant, high-fashion frame, but her muscles are perpetually corded and tight. Her posture is so violently straight and stiff that it looks almost painful.
Hair (Colour/ Description) Honey Blonde
Styled into an immaculate, rock-hard 1950s bouffant coiffure with perfectly sculpted curls framing her face. It is held together by an industrial amount of hairspray, though it's now lightly dusted with concrete debris, dried blood, and sweat from the Trials. She takes intensive pride in her hair.
Eyes Manic, wide-set green.
Her pupils are often wildly dilated from adrenaline and chemical stimulants. She rarely blinks, giving her a terrifying, unseeing "stare-down-the-camera" look.
Her face is caked in heavy, melting stage makeup. Smeared bright red lipstick runs past her mouth, and tracks of heavy blue eyeshadow are ruined by sweat and tears.
Scars Severe facial and chest trauma
Deep, jagged keloid scars trace along her cheeks and jawline from where her face shattered against the steering column of her mother's 1956 Ford Fairlane. She also bears matching scars on her collarbones and shoulders from the impact.
Tattoos/ Modifications Mirroring the aesthetic of surgical clamps, heavy chrome gear-and-wire mouth-retractors are permanently bolted directly into her reconstructed jawbone and cheekbones, forcing her mouth into a wide, agonizing, teeth-baring grin.
Slight hints of plastic surgery, considerably her chest, stomach, nose. Refuses any rumors of such.
Murkoff Subject ID #4902 is stamped in faded black ink on the back of her neck, just beneath her hairline.

Personality
Beverly behaves as if she is constantly being filmed by a live television crew. She speaks in a melodic, airy, "transatlantic" stage voice, obsessed with posture, grace, and presenting her "best side."
Deep down, she suffers from severe performance anxiety, obsessive-compulsive cleanliness behaviors, and deep-seated feelings of inadequacy.
Any form of "imperfection", a smudge on a mirror, a Reagent running instead of walking gracefully, or a lack of applause, unleashes a violent, screaming breakdown where her high-society persona completely shatters.

Theatrical Crowd Control:Beverlyâs blinding camera flash doesn't just blind players; it temporarily disables electronic devices (like Night Vision Goggles) in a small radius due to the intense magnesium flare.
Ruthless Grace:Despite her massive, heavy ballgown, she moves with terrifying speed and precision. She doesn't lumber like Coyle; she glides quickly, her heavy heels clicking in a frantic, rhythmic gallop.
Auditory Illusionist: She uses the TV studio microphones and intercoms on her map to throw her voice, making it sound like she is right behind a player when she is actually on the other side of the wall. Mirror Meltdowns: If Beverly catches her reflection in a clean mirror, she will halt her chase. Seeing her surgically ruined mouth and smeared makeup triggers a severe identity crisis. She will cover her face, sob, or scream at her reflection, giving Reagents a massive window to escape.
The "Stage Mother" Trigger: Beverly is terrified of her mother. If a Reagent mimics her mother's harsh, critical voice or commands (e.g., "Beverly, your posture is disgusting!"), she will freeze in place, cowering or frantically trying to fix her dress.
OCD Cleanliness Fits: She cannot stand a mess. If a Reagent throws a bottle or brick that splatters dirt, paint, or mud directly onto her dress, she will stop chasing to frantically scratch at the stain, screaming about how her "gown is ruined."
The Loudest Patrol (Heels.): You will always hear her coming. The sharp, rapid clack-clack-clack of her high heels on the concrete floor, mixed with her constant humming, makes it incredibly easy for players to map her location through walls without using their Night Vision battery.
Historically, she was supposed to go all the way to the Miss USA/Miss America finals in 1956, but she suffered a highly publicized drug infused car crash.
Following her breakdown, her mother committed her to a private sanatorium, which was secretly funded and operated as a front by the Murkoff Corporation.
Because she physically refused to smile during her early conditioning trials, Dr. Easterman ordered the surgical installation of the chrome gear-and-wire mouth-retractors. They are permanently bolted to her jawbone.
Beverly frequently talks to her "Mother" as if she is standing right next to her. She will argue with empty air, apologizing for her performance or begging her mother not to lock her in the wardrobe.
Her weapon is the actual brass scepter she was awarded as Miss Utah 1956. She ground the star at the tip down against the concrete floors of the facility until it became a jagged, five-point spear.
Beverlyâs entire performance in the Trials is for an audience of one. Even though her mother is the one who committed her to the Murkoff-run sanatorium, Beverlyâs shattered mind has warped this betrayal.
She operates under the constant, paranoid delusion that her mother is sitting in the "judges' panel" just out of sight, or watching her through the two-way mirrors of the TV Studio trial map.
Every time she attacks a Reagent, she is trying to prove to her mother that she is "good," "clean," and "worthy of the crown."
Relationships
Leland Coyle
âCoerced submission and fear of authority.â
Beverly treats Coyle like a terrifying father-in-law. She will frantically curtsy, speak in a high, breathy voice to placate him, and try to look "pretty" when he is near. If Coyle yells or brandishes his shock baton, it triggers Beverly's trauma of physical punishment. She will immediately start shaking and checking her posture.
Mother Gooseberry
âSeeks immediate approval and fear of failure.â
Beverly desperately craves Gooseberryâs warmth and approval, often trying to show off her "talent" (murdering Reagents) to her. However, Gooseberry is wildly unstable and prone to maternal rejection. Beverly's pristine, high-class aesthetic directly clashes with Gooseberryâs messy, childlike style. Beverly views Gooseberry as "frightfully unrefined," yet she will still sob and beg for her love if Gooseberry turns on her.
Doctor Futterman
âAbsolutely terrified.â
Futterman is a brutal, vocal bully. He acts as the "unbiased pageant judge" in Beverlyâs delusions. Futterman will screech insults about her scarred cheek, her ruined makeup, or tell her she is a "lazy runner-up." These remarks easily send Beverly into a weeping, hyperventilating spiral where she frantically claws at her face to try and "fix" her smile.
Franco Barbi
âAbsolute, venomous hatred.â
To a woman raised on mid-century elegance, Franco is a disgusting, drooling, infantile nightmare. He spits, has terrible posture, and lacks even a shred of manners. Beverly treats him like a spoiled younger brother who gets away with everything while she has to carry the burden of family perfection. Franco loves nothing more than to mock her ruined face and try to smear mud or grease on her tulle gown just to hear her screech.
Otto and Arora Kress
âClassist nightmares.â
Beverly desperately wants to blend in with their upper-class status, but the twins' physical deformity and deeply disturbing, incestuous codependency terrify her. Otto and Arora look down on Beverly as a "common, cheap stage-parader" who only cares about cameras. Beverly sneers at them backstage for their lack of "physical symmetry" and elegance, but she would never dare say it to Otto's face.
Liliya Bogomolova
âUnnerving.â
Beverly, who thrives on loud applause, bright studio lights, and constant attention, cannot comprehend Liliyaâs absolute, stony silence and religious fanaticism. Liliya views Beverly as a vain, painted Jezebel destined for damnation, while Beverly dismisses Liliya as a "dreadful, uncoiffed spinster who desperately needs a makeover and a smile."
Doctor Easterman
âSavior.â
She has a deeply submissive, worshipful relationship with him. When his voice echoes over the Sinyala intercoms, she stands at perfect attention. She genuinely believes he is holding the final scoring ballots for the Miss America pageant and that he is the only one who can finally give her the crown. Easterman exploits this flawlessly, using calm, patronizing "director" feedback to keep her focused on hunting down Reagents for his "broadcast."
She almost views him as a father she didnât have.
Martha Vance
âAuthority.â
Her mother's voice is a permanent, echoing tape loop in Beverly's mind. Every action Beverly takes is a desperate, frantic attempt to please her mother's memory.
Because her mother's voice is her ultimate trigger, any reminder of Marthaâs cold, demanding perfectionism can instantly reduce Beverly from a lethal predator into a weeping, catatonic little girl cowering in the dark.

Evidence for Charisma Psychological Gaslighting, sheâs lowkey a brat.
She had a cult following, maintaining that with Ex-Pops.
She knows about cameras. Exploits it. Whenever she performs an execution or attacks a Reagent, she doesn't look at the victim; she looks directly into the nearest security camera or spotlight. She knows exactly how to frame herself to "look her best" while committing atrocities, treating her violence like a beautifully choreographed routine.
Unique Status Effect (Ex: Bleed, Nausea) âOver Exposed.â Lost of sight for 5-7 seconds. Leaves an after burn. If flashed with night vision, that battery is toast.
Unique Trial Trap (Ex: Electrical grids) Cameras at chest height, if you step on their wire, you experience âOver Exposedâ and an alarm that flags nearby Ex Pops.
"Subject Vance continues to converse with the empty air, addressing her maternal unit. She exhibits extreme terror when reprimanded using vocal frequencies matching her mother's recorded phone calls. Subject's heart rate spikes to lethal levels (190+ BPM) when told she has failed her 'audition.' Recommend utilizing maternal vocal triggers only during high-stress threshold testing, as prolonged exposure leads to complete catatonia."
Backstory
Beverly was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Martha Vance, a fiercely bitter woman who had failed to achieve her own dreams of fame. From the moment Beverly could walk, Martha treated her daughterâs body and life as a personal canvas.
To correct a minor spinal curve, Martha forced Beverly to sleep on a rigid wooden board and walk with heavy dictionaries balanced on her head for hours. If a book fell, Beverly was locked in her bedroom wardrobe in pitch-black darkness.
Beverly was forced to practice her pageant smile in front of a mirror until her jaw seized. Martha would physically pinch Beverly's cheeks and use hairpins to stretch her lips upward when she cried, telling her: "Nobody loves a girl who doesn't smile, Beverly. Ugliness is a sin."
By the night of the Miss America finals, Beverlyâs stage mother had her on a strict regimen of "diet pills" to keep her waist tiny and her energy manic. Severely sleep-deprived, hallucinating from amphetamine psychosis, and buckling under her mother's screaming backstage critiques, Beverly finally snapped.
Right before the swimsuit segment, Beverly bolted out the backstage door in her high heels and heavy tulle gown. She stole her motherâs brand-new, coral-and-white 1956 Ford Fairlane from the venue's parking lot.
Sobbing, blinded by tears and sweat, and violently shaking from the stimulants, she sped down the winding, dark mountain roads of the Utah canyons. She hallucinated that her mother was sitting in the passenger seat, screaming at her posture.
Traveling at over 50 mph, she lost control on a sharp bend. The Fairlane violently smashed through a guardrail, rolling down a steep embankment and crashing headfirst into the canyon rocks.
The steering column of the Fairlane slammed directly into Beverlyâs face upon impact, completely shattering her jaw and tearing her cheeks open.
Murkoff Corporation agents, who were already scouting Beverly at the pageant, intercepted the police dispatch. They quietly took her from the local county hospital before she could be arrested for grand theft and drug possession, telling her mother they were transferring her to a "private, high-end reconstructive clinic."
Dr.Easterman immediately recognized Beverlyâs unique psychological makeup. Her severe maternal trauma, obsession with "cleanliness," and deep-seated need for an audience made her the perfect clay.
Under heavy doses of experimental chemical agents and electroshock therapy, Murkoff stripped away whatever was left of Beverly's healthy identity. They ran looped tape recordings of her motherâs voice criticizing her posture and her failure.
When Beverly's profound depression caused her to stop smiling entirely during her "evaluations," Easterman deemed her "unappealing to the judges." He ordered the surgical installation of the chrome gear-and-wire cheek-retractors. By bolting her face into a permanent, agonizing grin, Murkoff ensured she was always "pageant ready" for her mother's approval.
To complete her conditioning, they returned her Miss Utah scepter (which she had sharpened to a lethal point during her mania) and gave her a custom, high-voltage flash camera. She was introduced to the Sinyala Facility's Trial grounds, told that the Reagents were her "competitors," and that she had to eliminate them to finally win the grand crown.
"Subject Vance is performing exceptionally well in the mock TV studio trials. Her manic drive to maintain the standards of 1956 is a highly efficient tool for breaking down the Reagents' will to survive. However, security personnel must be absolutely silent regarding the current year. Subject Vance firmly believes she is still in September of 1956, waiting for the final tally of the judges' votes. Any attempt to correct her on the timeline, or the current state of her maternal unit, will result in violent self-harm or complete, unrecoverable catatonia."

And BJ and Keefe were for sure Judy and Kelvin's first boyfriends, and it seems likely that Amber could have been Jesse's first girlfriend (or close to it at least).
