I can't get over how as Rocky is rolling around in the Hail Mary and exploring the ship, Grace tells him to stay still (he doesn't lol). Grace then raises his hand up and tells Rocky that his hand is up, and Rocky stops. and of course Grace would do that, it makes perfect sense, he is a middle school teacher, and it's such a cute little detail. and the fact that he's clearly already explained to Rocky what it means when he raises his hand asdhsjhd

Ryland getting a little breathless when he says "I showed you a clock and... you're showing me a clock." really warms my heart because you know he is GEEKING out about communication with aliens and science and time and all that
