not to be that hoe but lowkey stand edgar's role is so downplayed by all sides of the boys' fandom. don't get me wrong i like him mainly because of giancarlo esposito but it's crazy how the fact that he's literally a guy who was approving vought's experiments on babies, created homelander and run the company of deeply deranged people is so widely ignored 💀💀 but the worst thing of it all is that he truly dgaf. his interactions with homelander are funny but when you really look at them it's a man being done with a child that was a direct product of the trauma he put them through

Finally noticed what i found off about homie's hair in s5 (i think it is just s5 idk if all but some scenes i remember and saw on gifs) they shaved his sidebuns and the hair of his head is supposed to be more slick on the sides or shorter not all the same size and with few hair gel hehe
Stupid details i notice 😬
omg wait... i hadn't really consciously noticed this :0 his hair is so cute in all the seasons to me. but when he had bigger sideburns he looked more 'menacing' so it kinda makes sense they lopped them off...
here is my ~research~
in s1 and s2 they seem to go pretty far down his face and are there for the entire season unchanging
s3 they seem to be shorter overall, some scenes they are pretty prominent but not all of them, but his hair was shorter on the sides
s4 seems to be where they are reducing them a lot, BUT, i think it's because the sides of his hair are longer and so while they are there, they are often covered?
and i think s5 is similar, in the way that they aren't long but they are there (2nd pic), his hair just seems to be longer at the sides so it covers them up
im realizing very fast that people do not in fact know that sometimes things in stories suck on purpose and it sucking is the point
"this story is misogynistic!!"
>looks inside
>about the pressures of societal misogyny and how its bad
Sometimes I think about how Homelander having a black guardian, Stan, shaped his views on racism and how he just can't fathom it despite working under a nazi company.
Homelander was sheltered under Vought's propaganda and did not experience the outside world like the other white characters in the show, but he understand that it's disgusting.
His face says it all even when he was head over heels for Stormfront or through the other supes throughout the show. He thought that shit was disturbing.
He can be petty and use derogatory language, when Supersonic joined the Seven as an example, but he never believed in the "great white race" thing.
Just a thought.
Also original Noir and A-train were the only people that he considered family, outside of his blood.

Watching Max and Alec fight in Dark Angel was fun cos you can tell it was really Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba in action ~
I wonder if Homelander ever believed in God. Something traditional. Like, did he have Christian beliefs at some point in his life? Or did he at least consider the idea of God like some people who don't align themselves completely with any religion do: as an unidentifiable cosmic force, a destiny, a higher entity that regulates the course of events that we can't congenitally comprehend? Most children ponder on these topics sometime in their early life, absorbing these themes from their surroundings. What pieces of information did Homelander grasp in his controlled upbringing?
Maybe he had a much more sophisticated view on the matter later in life. It is explicitly stated that he read philosophy and was well enough educated to be able to hold a two hour conversation on Nietzsche. How, overall, can he declare himself God and truly believe it inside his mind if he never cultivated beliefs of a different God? Did he think that God's dead and he would have replaced him as a new, better, and tangible God? Or was he saying that for the sake of manipulating easily gullible people? Did he think he was the first real God? What were his true thoughts on religion?
