The Sherlock fandom fell faster than Sherlock himself, supernatural isn’t coming back from the dead anymore, Doctor Who isn’t bigger in the inside anymore and our weirdest cousins, Hannibals the cannibals have been dead for a long time.

As I type this I think it’s ironic how SuperWhoLock’s death date is 22 of March, otherwise known as the emo day. It’s sad but it was time, supernatural was the last soldier standing and although without much dignity, it has fallen.

Do not use the website called Sci-Hub!

It lets people access scientific articles for free. This is dangerous. It helps the free flow of knowledge and reduces the competitive edge of all the people who worked really hard to have been born into a wealth.

Like, it’s literally a website where you can type in the DOI of an article and read it, without ever having to pay the publisher who exploited the author.

That means that it’s normal and expected to find yourself using coping mechanisms that you thought you were done with, to find yourself numbed out, to be on the verge of constant panic attacks, to be acting impulsively and compulsively, to engage in very old patterns, to have wide swings of every behaviour especially regarding sleep, food, and sex.

The research shows that people in a traumatic situation who most often develop PTSD (which I would say we are all at risk of) or have their existing PTSD/C-PTSD intensified are folks who cannot or believe they cannot do anything about it the trauma event.

So, if you are able, look for a place in all of this where you can feel that you can do something. Harass a company not doing enough for its employees, sign a petition, check in on a neighbour, set alarms to remind yourself to eat (it’s on my own to do list for today), intentionally spend time every day doing straw breathing to shift your sympathetic nervous system response. You don’t have to become some social media hero, or spend all your time improving yourself. But if you can find something that makes you feel like you can do something for yourself that decreases the trauma load on you, it will greatly benefit you going forward.

Can I tell you why?

IT’S CREEPY TO OBSESSIVELY SHIP REAL PEOPLE. Saying you think they’d be cute together? Okay. Making an edit to make them seem in love? Not okay. Basing an entire blog around this fictional relationship? Not okay. Insinuating that they should leave their partners, or are cheating on their partners? Not okay

When you say ‘look at these two showing affection they must be in love’, you are indirectly saying you cannot be affectionate unless you are romantically involved. By romanticizing two friends acting totally normally, you’re reversing the effects of the show. The whole point of Queer Eye is that men can be feminine and sweet and affectionate, and nothing is wrong with that.

Tan is married. Antoni is in a serious, long term relationship. Do not disrespect your so called 'faves’ by insisting they should be with someone else.
