#queer eye

so i've watched the last season of umbrella academy and queer eye now

and can i just say

i love the behind the scenes photos and videos celebrating the shows at the end of them

two completely different shows, and yet you get the same wholesome feeling watching the cast interact with the crew, the laughter, the evolution throughout the duration

years spent working with the same group of people, only to see it end, and while there are tears, there's joy, too, the nostalgia of an era coming to a close

it makes me want to document my life

like maybe there's something in it worth documenting

Anyway, turns put Armand had a little theater troupe of vamps who set up little pop-up scams where it seemed like one thing but was really for luring people in (to be dinner or join them sometimes?) ala ASOUE's Count Olaf's Theater Troupe (one of these was a farmers market stall for selling chicks and eggs) and he tried to do it to me and my family but the hypnosis shit Armand kept trying on me wouldn't hold (my brain is too suspicious) and I got my family escaped from them and then decided it was my mission to fuck their shit up whenever they tried to pull it again

Which involved me like tripping a bunch of them down a drainage culvert and throwing heavy objects at one vamp's head to knock her back down it

And also telling my sister to "floor it, no matter what's up ahead" when she was driving us somewhere and I noticed closed side streets seemed to be funneling people toward something suspicious

So after the very uplifting conversation about confidence he literally just whips out shit they sell at like Macy's and JCPenney and the calls that shit "stylish". Why do these shows think that we're all too stupid to understand that they're trying to advertise the wares of various retailers and calling wearing that "expressing yourself"? What not to wear had the exact same problem. Women could tell that they were literally dressing everyone the same because that's what the sponsors had wanted to advertise on TV.

This woman does seem to have low self-esteem and her wardrobe does seem kind of like slapped together but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing? I think it's much worse to dress her in the newest fast fashion tier crap.
