This scene impressed me so much when I first saw it. It still fills me with… idk something. I love it.
Still one of my favorite lines from a movie ever.

Needed to practice the new program, so I decided to rip-off Shakespeare and imagine what it might have been like for the Marquis de Lafayette to learn English from fellow aides John Laurens and Alexander Hamilton.
For those who don’t get the joke, “foot” has a similar pronunciation to “foutre”, which is French for “fuck”.
This did actually happen.

We’re doing a giveaway! Back in January Rebecca interviewed actress/stuntwoman Zoe Bell on her film Raze, a revisionist take on the women in prison exploitation genre wherein Bell and 49 are other women are kidnapped and forced to fight to the death. There’s no male gaze, but there are feminist undertones. And now we have a copy to give away to our Tumblr followers.
The rules:
You have to be following us. Yes, we’ll check.
Likes and reblogs count. (There’s no reblog limit, but be nice and don’t spam your followers, please).
Open only to the US and Canada. Sorry. :(
We’ll contact the winner by Fan Mail.
Deadline is NOON EST ON THIS WEDNESDAY, MAY 21ST.
Do you really, really want this DVD? Good news! We’re giving away one copy each to our Twitter and Facebook followers, too. Here’s the relevant info.
Hit the jump for the official word on what Raze is about. Good luck!

#5. Kick-Ass 2 Stuntmen Heroically Save Woman at Comic-Con
While Kick-Ass 2 was being promoted at the annual Comic-Con in San Diego last year, a distraught woman staying at a hotel near the convention stood on her 14th floor balcony and threatened to jump. While most people tried to help the woman by heroically whipping out their phones and recording her lowest moment, three stuntmen setting up a scaffold for a Kick-Ass 2 party across the street rushed to her rescue like freaking Power Rangers. They ran across a busy highway, scaled a security fence, and convinced a security guard to let them into the building (presumably just by flexing their pecs and ripping their T-shirts).

Where Will I Be in 10 Years Time? (30 Day Challenge: Day 2)
This is something I think about constantly: Where will I be in 10 years? By that time I will be a 33 year-old woman. It's funny to think about sometimes, because 10 years ago, I had imagined that I would be settled down with a family by the age of 33. I also thought that I wanted to be a veterinarian, so at that age I would probably just be starting up my career (medical school takes forever to complete). But as I live through life's realities and begin to discover new things about myself and the world around me, I realize that where I thought I'd be 10 years ago is completely different from where I think I'm going now.
At the age of 33, I'll probably still be non-married, living in a one-bedroom apartment, and pursuing one of my many prospective careers. This is the most realistic prediction I can make. Nowadays, I am seeing more 30-somethings who are living much like 20-somethings. They don't have families of their own yet, and many are career-orientated, single people. I just figure that I will follow the paradigm.
So, I've pretty much established that I probably won't be married with kids in 10 years. As for my career and place of residence, I have multiple ideas. Primarily, I would like to have my Clinical Psychology degree by then, preferably my Psy.D. I'd like to have my own private practice, but if I could just work within a hospital, that would be okay, too. Dance therapy is also an option for me. On the more ambitious side, I would like to be a writer. In that case, I could see myself working in a major city. I might stay in my homeland, Chicago, or move to good-o'l, stereotypical New York City. I would also love to live somewhere in Los Angeles, one day. My dream is to live in London, at some point in my life, so who knows? I might be a writer living in the U.K. in 10 years. That would be the ideal life.
I could make that dream happen, if I tried really hard to attain it. However, at my current point in life, I see this as mostly a dream, and less of an attainable goal. Typical factors get in the way like financial responsibilities, and stupid millennial indecisiveness. Hopefully, in the next year or so I can draw up a better plan for my life so I can have a clearer picture of myself at the age of 33.
Oh, and I also want a dog. A girl must have a dog. A ferret will do, too!
The thing that made Lilo a “freak” was her passion. Lilo was passionate about everything she ever did. She was passionate about Elvis, about feeding the ocean fish sandwiches, about making friends, about taming Stitch, and about Hula. Look at her smile. She is the only one who seems to be truly enjoying what she’s doing. It adds life. Passion is life. It’s vitality. It’s amazing. Be a Lilo.
